Was there last January with my wife and was so happy to miss the cold winter in Zürich. We loved it so much, we're actually planning to go back again next year but this time to El Nido!

My favorite vlogger is back in the Philippines :) I was in the Philippines to. I come home 1 week ago. I get stuck on Biliran Island, so never visit Palawan, Siargao or Camiguin as i should. I have to go again when i have saved up money for it. Thanks for another great video Gretl!

I feel strongly I should never forget in what an amazing country I was born, and I actually feel very, very good living here. It's totally greyed out now in winter, no snow just cold weather. But it's where I was born, where so big a part of me is - I want to stay with that :) It makes me happier even to be able to visit other countries ;)

+Travel Gretl You mentioned about limestone, in my island we went to this one cave with Fossils of fish and other creature in the roof of the caves. Locals don't know how it got there but I'm thinking my island and the surrounding islands were probably submerged in the ocean before. We have this church only the bell tower showing now, I never even bother to ask how it was submerged and locals don't pay attention to it. I don't know what and when was that earthquake or volcano around covered it, it's in Iloilo city. There's a new island opened to tourist in my island called Gigantes islands please check it out. (:
+Travel Gretl Glad you checked it out. I grew up about 5 towns away but never went there so sad ): I used to avoid the ocean before. I miss the mountains I was born. San Rafael, Iloilo. I used to jog early morning with my cousin, just us and the fresh air, cool wind. No slams, pollution in my town. Small town in a plateau, you go up many mountains in a zigzag road. There's an Aeta tribe there too but missionaries taking care of their community now. They used to travel in groups with no permanent place to live. Nagpana village is their community.

I use a Go Pro for under water shots, though I recently also got a Nikon under water camera I still need to test! I edit myself with Premiere Pro when I am back at home :) Some of my later vids are edited by a starting professional in the Netherlands, cause I ran out of time for editing!
malumpati spring and bugang river consistently hold the record of the cleanest river of PH. also have a rice terraces, rafflesia and water falls in tibiao and sebaste. just a few years ago the construction of the road is completed. despite of digital age there are communities that are isolated no hospital, no running water, no electricity, road insfrastructure. THANKS TO OUR CORRUPT POLITicIAN their way of life is preserved. ( antique way) .. sorry for my english its my third language.

From your vlog it looks amazing, we also have almost the same island hopping and hotels around but not many tourist knew it. I like all your vlogs, my dream to see Europe and see Netherland.
Yeah, hope one day you'll make it fulfilling that dream :D But also exploring more in the Philippines. We don't always need to go far to see beautiful things :) (Which I say - I always go to the Philippines from Amsterdam I know!) Would love to go to Iloilo more, and other more unexplored places :)

Palawan, is my favorite place in the Philippines, but, really it's the only place I know besides Manila....If you were to live in the Philippines where would it be besides PB? I know u like Batanes.....my plan is to narrow it down to quite a few locations..... rent for a few months in each location....maybe renting and migrating for a few years is best plan, of course i want to stay away from the hip places like El Nido (which i love)

Palawan, is my favorite place in the Philippines, but, really it's the only place I know besides Manila....If you were to live in the Philippines where would it be besides PB? I know u like Batanes.....my plan is to narrow it down to quite a few locations..... rent for a few months in each location....maybe renting and migrating for a few years is best plan, of course i want to stay away from the hip places like El Nido (which i love)
