Oh for the cars that you wished you had kept. I bought a 1966 Chevelle El Camino, 396, 4spd. It had the bench seat and the curved shifter. A kid that was going to college near by wanted to trade his SS front seats and console for my bench seat..........no brainer!! But marriage and a family on the way sent it down the road. But our next car was a used 1965 Mustang 389 auto trans. Lucky enough to have grown up in such a great era........
that's a beautiful chevelle, the only mistake i see is the 396ci 375hp came from the factory with a aluminum intake manifold that was not painted, this car appears to have a 396/325hp motor with the cast iron intake manifold.
360 horse motor had a cast iron intake but had a single line holley carb..this one does not have the correct carb..lots of early chevelles had bench seats.in.1966...my 66 car is originally a bronze car.but I hated the color..it was a bench seat car too.
I seen even more , the 66 SS did NOT have power breaks , power steering, air- Conditioning , that steering wheel , wrong dash , wrong Gauges , most had bucket seats an a center console , 396 / 325hp big block , 12 bolt posi, M-21 Muncie 4 speed trans .
There are many things that are not factory correct, but so what. These items are what the owner wanted and don't take away from the overall display of the car. It is a beautiful SS that most would pay dearly for if they could afford to!
Like the dual circuit master cylinder. I agree with that one it makes the car safer. Also if disc brakes weren't factory equipped I would understand if they were installed as you can't drive this car in traffic with modern cars safely without them.
@@michaelwelling9588 , No they do NOT , A Malibu has a gas gauge on the left of the speedometer and a clock on the right , A Super Sport has a split gas gauge and Battery charge on the left side of the speedometer and a temperature and oil pressure gauge on the right side of the speedometer , So learn something before you run your mouth that you know nothing about
Back when I was was 16 and GM was King. 70 now and love my 2015 Camaro but would rather have this.
That is a beautiful 66 Chevelle I really like that one
My favorite generation Chevelle.

Blue one sitting in the showroom at Wolf Chevrolet in Belvidere, Il when I was a kid. Wanted that thing so bad!
What a beauty- Aztec Bronze. I bought one off the showroom floor ($3600). I made a few modifications and had it turning 650 HP
Correct 360 horse motor had a 650 holley single line carb..not a dual line holley
Very unusual to find an SS without bucket seats and a console.
Good Old Knee Knocker Tach,Exhaust Sounds Like an Aftermarket,Great Looking & Sounding SS

There was also a 360hp (L34) with the cat iron intake. I have one.

So.... How much is the raffling tickets going for? Cuz I want one!
My 2009 Z06 is superior to this car in every way, but there is something so special about these old cars. I love them!!
The stupidest comment ever. You can buy a Z06 everywhere. You cannot find this car in this condition to buy anywhere.
@@truthseekerKJV Obviously...you didn't understand my comment.
Can i borrow it for a day ?. ..please. ...pretty please with a cherry on top ?

What color is the exterior paint?
What a beautiful car.
Such a shame Detroit produces nothing but crap now.
What color red is that? Paint code if you have it.
Can I have it?
