Back in 2014, I was in a relationship with someone, we were quite young back then. Every time I hanged out at her house the number 1 thing that we did was play minecraft on her Xbox 360 for hours, it was like a hobby that kept us entertained together. The relationship ended in 2016, but every time I played Minecraft after the break-up didn't exactly feel the very same. Specially when I tried playing with someone else, I eventually kinda faded away from playing the game due to a lack of motivation, the fan base becoming cancer and..yes, the fact that without her it didn't feel the same. It just makes you realize how such a well done game can make you feel without you even realizing it. By the time 2021 came I got the game once again, but after seeing so much degenerancy within the community I didn't really play it that much. There was only one reason which got me to play it once again this year. *Her.* We recently became friends once again, and we decided to start playing Minecraft once again, and it is something I really needed after not touching the game for so long. It dosen't even matter if we're in a relationship or not anymore, as long as I'm having fun with her in this game is all I could ask for. The game lives on because it is still fun to play, but it struggled to deal with the mixed community it now has. Remember what Minecraft was.

@@goawayddd9799 That's complicated question, to be honest I don't know if I really want to. Things have changed these past 8 years regarding my likes and hers respectively. I actually did have feelings for her back when I first wrote this comment, however now I'm between yes or no. One thing to note is that our relationship ended because our own classmates bullied us to the point we no longer wanted to be in a relationship anymore. Basically, we could handle internal issues but not the external ones of our relationship. I was happy with her, but we both have a fear of repeating history again. And if being in a relationship dosen't make her happy I can't bring myself to insist. For now, I'd rather preserve our friendship instead of risking another relationship doomed to fail. Then again, who knows? Maybe she really wants to and I'm just being anxious.

Here is an example. There is a ship, it is slowly getting outdated so it needs to repaired with new boards and replaced. Some boards are ugly but more than most look good. All the old boards on the boat get replaced and the cycle starts again. Is it the same boat? Yea. Is it different? Definitely. Has it gotten better? Yes.

*Her.*
We recently became friends once again, and we decided to start playing Minecraft once again, and it is something I really needed after not touching the game for so long.
It dosen't even matter if we're in a relationship or not anymore, as long as I'm having fun with her in this game is all I could ask for.
The game lives on because it is still fun to play, but it struggled to deal with the mixed community it now has.
Remember what Minecraft was.
It's good to know that you both rekindled with each other. Also do you wish things could be like the way they were back in 2014 or do prefer your current state.
Maybe she really wants to and I'm just being anxious.
bit weird
Bro actually that is the most heartbreaking nostalgic thing I have ever heard, and honestly I wish you the best

We aren't kids anymore. The brightly colored world that we knew has faded away and the new world we inhabit has shown it's darker side. But even despite all the heartache, we still tend to drift and fantasize over the long gone past.
the new generation...
@@kaiserschlachtfelder I don't really mind the new generation of fans or content creators. Thought I do miss the original 2012-1015
Yeah, it’s just sad to see the present because it would never be as fun as the past. I live in the present but still looks back at the past, for there is only happiness back there.
@@springtrap360sniper4 I like creators like Philza and techno but mostly stay away from the new gen fans/communities since they're pretty toxic.
@@Imperial_Navy03 The reason why there is so much toxicity in those communities is because of RUclipsrs like dream who don't moderate their communities and thus allow the toxicity to grow. If they had done anything sooner, then the toxicity and the cringe issue would be FAR less severe than it is now.
And hasn't techno's minecraft career started in like 2015 or somewhere along those lines.
So I wouldn't really call him a new gen content creator.
We didn’t want Minecraft to come back, we wanted our childhood back.

SkyDoesMinecraft was probably the final nail in the coffin for me. The supposed depression, the break-ups, the anguished cries over his son, the Sky Army stood with him. But to learn, that it was all a lie? All an illusion? It hurt. Terribly. I watched his content from the first intro days, even when they played on the original Cops & Robbers map. May we mourn, not the man, but the memories.
what do you mean by illusion?

The civilization events are cool though
I think genuine ones when it comes to 100 days and civilization are pretty decent. Unless its ideology when everyone just goes communist for shits and giggles
I dont think 'originality' is a good way to compare minecraft youtubers...
When dream first starting blowing up with manhunt and the smp i was first really happy as i watched it from time to time but mostly because there was a new group of youtubers keeping minecraft alive for new kids to grow up with. Its really sad to see what it now turned into

I've played minecraft since 2011-2012. I played with my siblings on my Xbox 360 it was some of the most fun that I've ever experienced and seeing this made probably 5 years of my life flash before my eyes. I got goosebumps. And even though I've quit playing most video games I miss the god old times. I miss minecrafts golden era. Today I can't even recognize what minecraft has become. I'll never forget the good times.
Yes.
