I agree with you with respect to Yoohyeon. When I watched my first DC dance video, she was the one who immediately caught my eyes. Her moves are so sharp and fluid. She's a phenomenal performer. In live shows she's also very engaging and energetic. I expected Yoohyeon to be great in this performance, and she totally delivered. Who surprised me was Handong. There is something about her presence and sharpness that stands out. I feel she has grown the most over the last year and now has a confidence that she didn't necessarily show before.
If I'm not mistaken, in every comeback/ trilogy they said there is a member that will be highlighted. Like Maison it's Dami that's why everyone is focusing on her at the start of the song. I think it's the same with Vision. But I can't remember where did they talk about it though.
Yoohyeon is a perfectionist so she will keep practicing specific moves long after the other members have quite for the day. She just never stops. She has amazing flexibility in her waist and she's tall so the moves where she bends look amazing. The backup dancers include their choreographers and their Performance Director Hwang Sooyeon, so they're very serious about the backup dancers and they're also very close with them.
You got to watch 'SuA's Toxic dance cover with Hwang Sooyeon'. Hwang Sooyeon is their dance choreographer and also ex-senior idol (she was under Happyface Entertainment too as main rapper idol but soon after the Produce 101 she decided to quit the idol thing and turned herself a professional dancer then dance choreographer for quite some while before returning back to Happyface Entertainment as Creative Director)
I don't think people give enough credit to that Dami part after she walks over to Yoohyeon and then back to the center doing that gun pose and like bounces it. It is SOOOOO cool. I just love that bouncy effect, and then everybody like collapses around her. It's the highlight of the choreo for me. Also love the Handong with the ticking clock hands behind her. So satisfying.
@@SeatinReacts yes she is. Ever since she came back from China. She seems more rocking the vocal than before. Her visual also improve a whole lot. She is my bias for this comeback.
At the last moment, when Siyeon moves his hand from left to right with V-shaped fingers and makes circular movements to the music... it finished me off
I never feel tired to tell that Yoohyeon without any dancer role but she's really good (well.. great) in angle shaping. simply second half of first chorus compared to second chorus we can see the difference. if only 2-3 comebacks we can say it's just a coincidence but nope.. even almost every comeback. plus finally members involved in Dami's rap part. since the additional dancers involved in Scream, Dami didn't get another member to dance with before Vision. now she got Yoohyeon and SuA. in BEcause she got members but no additional dancers there, really this time hits different
to me, Yoohyeon has been standing out the most in the dance, she commits so hard to all the moves and seems to really fit her style. she's always been good but I feel like she's really gotten better, especially watching their Monster cover, i barley looked at Jiu, Yoohyeon was going so hard.
This is easily one of my favorite choreos from them. So impactful.
