I am convinced that it is impossible to train my 3.5 month old puppy to not bite. She literally goes around the toy to bite my hands. No amount of swapping, scolding, treats or anything is working. If she's in play mode she's going to bite and there's nothing anyone or anything can do to stop her.
My 9 week old beagle puppy has the same kind of play thingy. What I do is, whenever she bites me, I give a high pitched “yelp”, which sometimes stops her from biting me. After your puppy stops biting you, try giving her a small treat
If high pitch or switching doesn't work, just abruptly stop playing with your pup or left them alone for a moment if they start biting. This "ignoring bad behaviour" method works so well with my 3 months old Beagle. I watched this from how Victoria Stilwell stopping many older dogs from biting or jumping.
@@nitishvishwanathhatapaki It could be different things...puppies communicate a lot by biting at a young age. Over tired puppies will often start biting instead of going to sleep so you need to enforce a nap. Could also be that they need to go potty...in that case, you have to work on showing her another way of communicating that like some bell training (have a bell with a rope that they can swing and ring it every time you take them out...eventually they will associate the bell with going outside to potty and will use it to communicate with you). But yeah, in general, if your putty starts biting hard and refuse to let go or aren't interested in their toys, they might simply need a nap. I have already potted any plants that I love and put out of reach of her . Toys bed under cover , she does get walked three times a day and I am home all day . Hi.... My family just bought a 45 days old beagle. So, my concern was how to make him bite less and have healthy sleep at night because in the middle of night he gets up and starts whinning then we put him back in his bed he still keeps biting his bed though having proper toys and one more thing why do they tend to bite at this stage and keep biting their toys...
My beagle is 2 and a big bumfluff she has a hard time listening to us she understands when we eat she has to have the command before she can lick the plate but she doesn’t listen to anything else and is always pulling her lead all the time when we take her out for a walk how can we help with that?
First of all, your beagle is just being BEAGLE. They are a stubborn breed. Beagles are very smart, and when they suspect that there is no benefit in following commands, they start ignoring them. You NEED to train them daily. You should teach them new tricks, revise old ones and use exciting treats while training. NOTE: Keep rotating few different types of treats to keep them motivated to follow your commands. You will need to be consistent with the training.
hi , i am a new to all of this and your videos have been helping a lot. i have a question. my 3 month old puppy keeps on barking and jumping on tables when anybody is eating something even if it is just after he ate his whole meal. can you tell how your dog does not do that.
Hi, my beagle puppy is almost 5 months now I have tried all methods of training him but he doesn't stop biting. he ignores all his toys and only jumps at my hands and feet. his biting has gotten very aggressive and often causes scarring or draws blood. I take him for walks twice a day but nothing seems to calm his biting. if I distract him with treats he is only calm for those 2 mins and then goes back to biting. it is very hard having guests over because he bites everyone. how can I change this habit??
he’s calmed down a bit.. not too much :( wishing you both all the best and my only suggestion is to find a good trainer and not miss out on training ur puppies

Haha yeah. Reminds me of my Groot. He was the same, probably worst, in his puppyhood. But don't worry it gets better as they grow. Infact now I kinda miss his puppyhood, it was a new challenge everyday.

My beagle is 85 days old, i give him exercises play with him also taught him but he is still interested in biting me even if i distract him he will come around and continues to bite me. What to do with him.
Your beagle is still just a puppy and going through his teething phase. Don't worry it's very common for puppies that young to bite. Just keep trying, keep offering him toys every time you think he is gonna bite. You can start saying 'NO' loudly when he bites. You can refer to this article for more details: beaglecare.com/do-beagles-bite/
Hi my bagel bites a lot. A lot of times she will go for my face. I’ve tried to give her all sorts of toys but she seems very aggressive. She came from to champions and they are champions and running and doing agility. I’m just wondering maybe she’s bred for a different kind of lifestyle? I’ve had mini mini mini bagels but this is my first beagle puppy, maybe I’m wrong about all this. But
I don't remember so much biting with my first beagle but my new four month old is a terror when it comes to biting. He'll play with a chew toy and in a split second he jumps towards to mouth open ready to bite. I've been jumping up from the coach when that happens but only lasts a few seconds. If he continues he's off the couch. I forgot about the frozen carrots. He likes carrots anyway so I will try that.

Millie, my 1 month old beagle puppy is now starting to bite which hurts she has enough toys. While biting im distracting her with toys . At the time it works but she continues biting
All beagles puppies are the same.. Mine use to do this too. Follow all the steps in this video, be consistent and be patient. Trust me it gets better as they grow. And the most important thing: Give them loads and loads of exercise.
Hi, this video was in fact very helpful (I have a 10 week old male beagle puppy) and he bites a lot..it doesn’t hurt all the time because his adult teeth are just coming in. Any other techniques to stop this (we know we should always have a toy with us and treats) but that seems to only work for that time period, once it’s done he’s back to biting . What should we do to stop this? Thanks!
It may seem as if it's not working at first, but doing it consistently for a longer period of time will definitely show positive results. You can even try screaming in a low pitch (voice similar to dogs' whining) every time your pup tried to bite you. No matter what technique you choose, you will have to be consistent with it.
Hello, it's totally normal for a beagle puppy as young as 6 weeks to bite. Puppies need to be with their litter and mother until 8 weeks old to learn basic social skills. A 6-week old beagle doesn't know how to interact with others and what to do when others interact with him. He might try to bite you even when you touch him or hold him. This is very normal. You just need to be patient. Try to distract him with a toy every time he tries to bite you. Do this for 2 to 3 weeks. And after that, promote good behavior, by treats. Every time your puppy bites say 'NO' and if he stops, give him a small piece of treat. If he starts licking your finger then it's a good sign.

I recently bought a beagle puppy 3 weeks ago. She is 2 months now. She bites a lot like A LOT she attacks and she sometimes she becomes so aggressive and sometimes is everyday. She aims for our hands and legs and when we hit her on her nose gently she becomes even more aggressive and jumps to bite to an extent which scares us. Can you please help me out with what to do
Beagle puppies can seem aggressive, but in most cases they are not. You brought your beagle puppy home too soon. Puppies should spend at least 8 weeks with their mother and siblings to learn basic socialization skills. Anyhow, you can do these things to stop her aggression: - Start teaching her to listen to you. Begin with teaching her some common commands, like sit and stay. - Every time she seems aggressive, try to distract her by saying her a command and giving a treat if she follows it. Or you can even use a toy to distract her. - Do not do anything that makes aggressive. If she doesn't like being touched on her nose, then don't it. - Do not be scold or punish her and try to handle things calmly. - Do not give her. Spend more time training her. You will have to be patient. She is just a puppy, it will take some time. In most cases hyper energetic puppies calm down when as they grow. However, if your puppy seems aggressive after she is 6 months old, it;'s time to consult a processional dog trainer.

Your beagle is just a puppy and he doesn't know the correct way to interact with you. He thinks that biting is equal to playing. What you can do it, every time he bites or he is about to bite, distract with with a toy. Don't give him a chance to bite, redirect his behavior to something else.
@@ArthurOscartheBeagle He is just too young. Keep trying. It may take some time but it works. If possible have him checked by a vet and see if he doesn't have any health problems.
@@ArthurOscartheBeagle you can also move your beagle away every time he does this. Short sharp sounds followed immediately by for example putting it off the furniture or turning your back. Do not give your dog any attention until it’s calmed down and keep repeating! X
It's your choice but it's really common for them to be stubborn they also dig a lot and they love to explore meaning they escape and roam around when they get the chance. Not all beagles will do this but most will

I have a cute little beagle . But she bites me when l try to take something inedible from her mouth. She is 8 months old. How to stop it
Is growling while biting normal? My puppy is 10 weeks old and she will not get distracted by toys but will grab onto to my arm, even shaking her head (as though my arm was a toy), and growl.
Thanks a lot really helpful
I am glad :)
Coco is just next to me watching this video 🤣
My beagle is 8 weeks old and she keeps biting me when ever I pet her
Mr. Dog try to be more comfortable and don’t hurt him.
Be gentle and young puppies usually don't like when they are touched.
Puppy teething. That's how they play with other puppies
when he bites scream and then give him his toy and go away from room after some weeks he will understand
Phantom Bunny yes I do that

Sometimes doesn't leave things. When we try to take it, he growls and doesn't leave. some times he gets on the bed and starts biting asleep kids. Anything to stop this behavior.

I have always had Cattle dogs they were so easy to train compared to Beagle ! My beagle is going to spend a lot of time outside . I have already potted any plants that I love and put out of reach of her . Toys bed under cover , she does get walked three times a day and I am home all day . I am not sure I have the right dog for us . My husband and I are retired and lost my 16 year old girl last year and one day my husband turns up with this very cute looking puppy . What to do ?
My beagle loves to play and bite it really hurts😢😢
Hello,i'm having the same problem now, can you suggest me something and also can you plz share about what you used to feed him..
Hello ma'am. Just want to ask in how to train a beagle puppy to stop biting furnitures and appliances in the apartment. Thank you so much!
Beagle Care thank you now I know she is just being her breed and not because she hates me thank you so much
hi , i am a new to all of this and your videos have been helping a lot. i have a question. my 3 month old puppy keeps on barking and jumping on tables when anybody is eating something even if it is just after he ate his whole meal. can you tell how your dog does not do that.
I have the same problem! Except mine is still 3.5 months. But I hope there’s a good fix for this! Hoping the user gives a helpful answer!
he’s calmed down a bit.. not too much :( wishing you both all the best and my only suggestion is to find a good trainer and not miss out on training ur puppies
Hi I have just adopted a 7 month old begal she hasn’t been trained at all and gives a lot of trouble at night to sleep could u help me how to train her?
We have a Pocket Beagle we have Toys and when he starts to bite we say no a give him a chew Toy, but he continues and we cont. to say no and give him a chew toy, he seems to just get mad when you correct him, there is times he may stop and we do praise him but still goes back to biting, what else can be done?
my 3months old beagle keep playbiting , a bit hard for me to teach him command since its my first time having a beagle / dog . .
I just repeatedly say "sit" or "stop" and he stops and calms down
Don't! Watch the beagle training video of this channel...
It is highly told not to rather than to revise the step again if he doesn't
My puppy is 3 months old and she is having enough weight but she is thin? How can I make her a bit thick
My 5 weeks old beagle puppy is a little imonster, with needle like teeth 😅😅😅, no tricks works when she tries to bite while playing, thanks for the video, I will try it.
Haha yeah. Reminds me of my Groot. He was the same, probably worst, in his puppyhood. But don't worry it gets better as they grow. Infact now I kinda miss his puppyhood, it was a new challenge everyday.
@@BeagleCaremy puppy CANT stop biting. My guy will bite no matter what toy I give
So my beagle puppy is just 40 days old and he is biting me while playing with toys if I go to touch him. Or sometime he is sleeping with me and I am pading him he suddenly bite me with aggression what to do ? I want to teach my puppy tricks and everything from the early age.
Im getting a beagle and i told my mom is love with furniture but how xould i make come to the toy when he wants furniture
Because I have gotten alot of cuts when he bites and sometimes he bites really hard and if we say no he does not stop
What is the right age of training a puppy the commands because my puppy is 46 days old
I have 2 months old beagle he is very aggressive. Whenever I try to play or touch him he tries to bite him so hard. I have tried everything like treats, running, playing and training but nothing worked. Can u pls help me
You should hire a trainer then
My puppy is 60 days old...When should i start training them?
GREAT video.
My beagle is about 10 week old. I’m trying to train him not to bite. When he start to bite, I lead him to a toy but time to time she snap at me when playing with his toy. How can I fix that? Also she doesn’t like treat yet when I try to praise her. Treat does not work on her.
We just got a 3.5 month old beagle puppy from its previous owner its been 2 days and it still does harmless bites based on interations and doesnt bark..we are trying to potty train it too. How to train him to not bite and potty train him?
At what age we should start training the puppy... Please tell
Start the training after 1 week of bring him home.
Very useful
hi.question can I let my puppy beagel bite me
or
do I still train it
Millie, my 1 month old beagle puppy is now starting to bite which hurts she has enough toys. While biting im distracting her with toys . At the time it works but she continues biting
My stray beagle that we adopted whos 2 now, play bites: mouths our ankles and hands soo much when she’s excited and playing.
How can I stop it??
All beagles puppies are the same.. Mine use to do this too. Follow all the steps in this video, be consistent and be patient. Trust me it gets better as they grow.
And the most important thing: Give them loads and loads of exercise.
I have a beagle who became 1 year last week any exercise that i should do other than taking him for a work
Apart from walks, you can play with him indoor. You can teach him tricks and commands.
Beagle Care Pkay thank you so much!!
I ama beagle owner and beagle trainer as well. Here is how you teach a beagle to stop biting: ruclips.net/video/8Ma69mwx2a8/видео.html
My beagle puppy is 6 weeks old and he bites a lot, along with that he barks and growls as well. What to do about the same?
Beagle Care hello, thank you so much for the advice. It is really helpful, I’ll try and be more patient with my pupper now. :)
@@sharleendhamija6528 I am glad :)

My beagle is 10 months, he bites my hand too. I put him inthe bathroom 1-2 minutes and is calmer when he comes out. I ignore him after letting him out too for a while. He seems to be learning to not bite
My Baby is 40days Old. His teeth are developing so he has this tendency of Taking things between his teeth. He is still small for training but would like to know how can i stop him from putting his teeth on Us? Thanks in advance.
I have my baby beagle one month ago and he is now very playful and energetic and he always want my hands and legs to bite I always give him toys to bite but then only we want to bite our skin can you help ke out with this how to train how to make him understand not to do this things
Very informative video, thanks for that. Is that your own voice over in the video ?
Anyhow, you can do these things to stop her aggression:
- Start teaching her to listen to you.
My beagles a full on toss piece thee end 🤣
I have 42 days Beagle puppy (Female) I bought it 3 days before, It do lot of pee every where in the house, how and when I should start training her where to pee and poo
I Adopted beagle puppy of 40 days i want to quite his biting habit is it right time to teach him coz he dont bite my mom and he only bites me i dont know what was the problem
My almost 3 months old pup is adorable!
But he sure does love biting anything, and everyone 😅.
I have been teaching him commands, vocalizing my pain and distracting him with toys.
That does help a little, and I think he'll learn that biting/barking at people is not the right way to engage.
Any other tips to help me direct his behaviour in the right direction?
Thank you for your videos. 🐶
Hi, our beagle keeps on biting. Is this normal for puppies? if we failed to train them would they still be like this when they get old? Thanks! I’m a fan 🐶
Does this work for beagle mixes?
My dog doesn't stop growl and bite when I want to put the leash on him
My beagle bites whenever I try to put him on a time out for smth mischievous he did or gets really possesive of his stuff .I don't know how to stop this behaviour.
same, he will still keep tearing his bed and we tell him not to but he is just to stubborn, and he will bite people that get in his way
@@waffleishboi I solved my beagles chewing bed habits by not giving her beds. She now has blankets with her in her crate, enough to be comfortable. Not sure if yours would still try to tear at the blankets but mine adores her blankets so she doesn’t try to eat them. She even sometimes picks them up and carries them around with her
@@simoneingleson4280 mine will destroy anything
@@waffleishboi have you tried with just blankets? Lilly sleeps in her crate because she destroys everything as well

SOMEOME HELP! Where do I find beagles that look lile the one in the video?!
Hello, try contacting local breeders and ask them for Pure Beagle.
Hulls Ozarks Beagles is where I got my beagle.
Hey can you help me it's dull why is it dull can you tell plzzz reply
Just got a beagle 3 days ago. He is now 43 days old. And he keeps on biting me. What to do?😭
Your beagle is just a puppy and he doesn't know the correct way to interact with you. He thinks that biting is equal to playing. What you can do it, every time he bites or he is about to bite, distract with with a toy. Don't give him a chance to bite, redirect his behavior to something else.
Thx.
But I tried. He just doesn't respond to the toy or to the sound I make.
Hello, I am handicapped semi-paralyzed is it okay for me to get a beagle pup? Thank you in advance for your advice 🙏🏽
It's your choice but it's really common for them to be stubborn they also dig a lot and they love to explore meaning they escape and roam around when they get the chance. Not all beagles will do this but most will
Raising a Beagle puppy can be tough due to their stubborn and curious nature. You would definitely need a help hand and a trainer for first one or two years.
My puppy is 7.5 week old as of now and he is not eating food
Acc to the vet we need to give him drools and royalcanin starter with curd.
Please suggest how to go about
Set his food time right after his playtime. Try hand feeding him first and then offer him the food bowl. However try not to make this a habit.
