Hi Lexi, I think everyone can appreciate the amount of research, thought, and planning that went into this powder comparison video. It was a true labour of love and no doubt a huge project for you to undertake to help your subscribers with such a comprehensive video. Thank you for always being so incredibly detailed and providing a national resource of key takeaways. Your amazing work ethic never goes unnoticed or unappreciated. 🤗❤❤👏👏
Thank you so much! This video definitely was a labor of love. It took a long time to do but I was determined to get it done so I hope that it really is helpful for people.
I agree with Pam. ❤ All this detailed work has made you earn all your followers, including myself. Keep on doing what you do girl! 🙂🌷….. besides you have always the coolest nail polishes too, this one it’s super hype, ILNP in “Peace”?
It is not a bit surprising that you were once a teacher, as you walk us through all of these powder products in a detailed, understandable way. At my age, a very slight dusting after SPF is all I need. I only wear concealer where needed. I have both WA powers, and pressed versions of Chantecaille and Sisley. All I need. Never miss a video, as they are always so helpful. You’re the best! ❤️
Lexi this was absolutely AMAZING! Thank you so much. The time, effort and research you put into this is just second to none. This is so hugely helpful. Xx
What a grand summary! I have picked up some of your recommendations through the years and so grateful that I don’t need to waste any product and money. Thank you!🌹
what a professional, thorough job you've done on this overview. your channel just keeps getting better and better, Lexi! I can also recommend the Well People pressed powder and the Beauty Pie pressed powder, to add to these. my current favorite remains the WA pink bubble one, though. it will be hard to beat that one for me!
Wow… bravo, Lexi for an amazing video! This was incredibly helpful. Like others who have left comments, I am blown away by the amount of time and depth of research that went into making this video. Thank you so much Lexi!!!! ❤️😀
Hi Lexi, thank you for answering all my questions. You are so passionate with what you are doing. We love your passion, your detailed analysis, your hard work in swatching all the colors and textures for us! Thank you!!
Thank for your extensive review! I’ve used many of these powders. I wish they would make a lighter shade in the Sisley Blur Expert too! Also, ages ago I decided that the By Terry Hyularonic Hydra powder was going to be my big splurge item after I heard such rave reviews. It wasn’t my fave and made my skin look dry and would sit in my pores. I didn’t use it until years later and used a flat top brush and that was such a game changer and my skin looks extra flawless and smooth. Now I’m so in love with it!!❤
Lexi, this is absolutely outstanding! I cannot even imagine the time and effort you put into this video. I’ve already saved it to favorites! Thank you SO much.💓 I have mostly used Chantecaille’s loose, talc-free powder as well as their HD Perfecting Powder in the compact. Recently I acquired Westman Atelier Vital Pressed in BOTH Pink Bubble and Creme. Gorgeousness! The WA ones are new to me, so I’m experimenting with brush application and so forth. The packaging couldn’t be more luxe. Also I have two backups of Chantecaille’s Eclat Doux. I think I purchased those during a sale. I agree I prefer Eclat Doux in winter. It’s hard to explain …but even Louisiana winter! Lol In addition, I’m experimenting with Gucci’s Eclat Soleil Bronzer in 01. You’ve got me hooked! I can finally wear bronzer and look okay! I dare to say “healthier!” It’s even great on my eyelids! I just pull out my new Sisley 22 Sheer Raspberry Lipstick, and my small world is a better place! Thanks again! The Surratt Diaphane loose powder looks incredible, but for now I’m ecstatic.🥰
I am so happy to hear all of this Tammy! I totally agree about the Chantecaille Eclat Doux. I don't know why it is better in the winter but it just is. Lol! I'm really glad you are enjoying your products so much!
Hi Lexi! This is such a helpful video!!! I’m going to have to watch this a few times and take notes! I really appreciate all the work you put into this!
Wow Lexi what an amazing video that must have taken you a very long time to put together. I watched it twice just to take it all in. It is so detailed and helpful going over all of these powders and getting your opinion on all of the powders. A video I’m going to save definitely! Thank you for going through all your powders. What’s next blushes? 😆😆
Thank you so much for this comprehensive powder round up video, Lexi. Now I know why you love the Sisley compact and the Chantecaille holiday version. Would you say the WA pink shade also ranks up there with those two, in term of radiance and glass skin blurring effects? Many thanks!!
Thank you! The WA is more matte. It has more of a soft luminosity to it. It gives a great blurring effect and is not very “powdery”. I would put it up there with the Chantecaille and Sisley but I tend to reach for those more still.
Wow Lexie, this is such a great video. I can’t imagine the work you put into it. You reminded me of powders I have that I need to pull back out. I have the WA Creme coming & I want the Rodial. I had to check out what you are using today as you look stunning. Thank you for this Lexie.
Lexi! Thank you so much for all the detailed work that you undertook in creating this excellent video along with specs and swatches for each powder. This is so incredibly helpful! I have the KGD blurring beige powder that I really like. Interested in trying something else at some point. Thank you Lexi!!
When I started, I listened to Michele Wang and got the Ko Gen Do Natural Lighting powder. Not a great idea because the powder is too dark for me. Maybe it will work better in the summer.

Hi Lexi! New subscriber here. Thank you SO MUCH for making this video! I can’t believe how much work you’ve put into this. You’ve provided us with so many details and all the information needed to make the right powder choices. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️
Thank you very much! This was fantastic! I don’t even wear makeup, but I’m so intrigued. I just like pretty things. I appreciate all the effort and detail you always put into your videos.
Wow, how much work you put into this video amazing!!!👏👏🤩🤩Thanks so much dear Lexi, really a document to look in, every time!!! Have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
How long does suqqu powder stay on the skin? does it blur? I care about blurring and a natural look at the same time. a slight glow is cool. I prefer pressed powders. which one could you recommend
Suqqu now has a new powder and I have more info on it here: ruclips.net/video/mYuEVqRSGl8/видео.html. It's softly blurring with a touch of rosiness but it is a loose powder. For pressed powders, I love the new Chantecaille powder for the holiday (but it has some glow) or Koh Gen Do brightening moisture powder (luminous matte). I love the Sisley Blur Expert in the new 0 shade for under foundation - basically a powder primer that is blurring or their phyto-poudre compacte (matte) but you only need a tiny bit of it so I use a fluffy brush with it.
OMG This is a serious video as usual a very serious video on a not so serious subject but you dit it Lexi you made a very useful video that I’ll save for later purchase. I planned to buy the WA beige one but now I think I maybe need more. 🙈 this is great THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORT
Hi Lexi - have been so excited for this video and you didn't disappoint! Will refer back to this again and again I am sure, and I will save up to purchase some of the items you showcased. In the first instance I have ordered the Guerlain Meteorites in 2 Clair - I remember in a previous video you compared it to the Pearl Glow one but said the 2 Clair had a bit more pink so that's the one I've gone for. I am so looking forward to trying this. Thank you for a great video with amazing swatches and concentrating strictly on the products with all the associated points - I was concentrating from start to finish listening to all your comments and observations. You worked so hard on this and it is immensely appreciated 😊
So youbmentioned that CT AFF is a great powder butany other formulas that came after improved upon it. Can you let us know which powders are these exactly? CT AFF has been a years long favourite but I'd love to try out others that are along the line of it.
This is an older video but I would check out powders like the Koh Gen Do (they have a new one that is amazing), Burberry is similar but more updated, Addiction Tokyo are powders for a no powder look, Cle de Peau pressed powder. Those are all recent powders that I think have improved upon previous greats.
@@LexiJong I saw your videos! I have quite medium to tan neutral warm olive skintone tho, so lavender powder doesn't really play well with my colours. Would you say that the Addiction Tokyo and CdP could be something along the line of Hourglass Veil powder? I have oily skin (that's drying up lol) but I still love it because it doesn't alter the finish of my base. I'd rather look oily and shiny than matte. :D
You are amazing Lexi and Beautiful. This makeup look, your hair and top are stunning. I just ordered the WA Pink Bubble, I watched your other vid about the WA and seeing this I had to get it. I would like to get the Creme too but will wait a bit. I love my powders . Namely the Givenchy Prisme Libre loose powders , love the limited edition packaging I have 3 different ones. This video is Un Tour de Force!
I love the Dior Cushion Powder. I didn't know there was a lavender shade. Let me go see if I can find it lol. Great video. Powders are rather new to my makeup routine so I enjoyed learning more about all the options.
Hi Lexi!! I am dying to know which are your favorites to use under the eyes? I hear you mentioning PMG here but do you prefer that to the Westman Atelier? Is there another in the running for that purpose?
I think the PMG and the WA are both great under the eye but I love the light pink shade of the WA for under the eye. Performance wise they are pretty comparable in that area. The Givenchy pressed powders are also great under the eye and the new suqqu powders (pressed and loose) are ones I've been reaching for a lot. I like something thin yet blurring on the skin for under the eye. The more "moist" powders can look a bit cakey as time goes on if you are not careful with application and they can gather in my fine lines. I usually tap on with my finger or I've been using the Sonia G Fundamental L brush under the eye.
@@LexiJong this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much. I think I’ll grab Pink Bubble or the Givenchy powder during the Sephora sale. You think the Givenchy pressed is a bit better than the loose for under the eye? I’m dying to try Suqqu. I’m hoping to travel to London early next year and I’m planning to save some money for that. I actually just picked up the fundamentals L for this purpose in the beautylish sale. I need to wash it and try it! I can’t thank you enough. This is so helpful.
Thank you! This was excellent. Météorites was my nightly go-to in the late 80's! WA is intriguing, and lovely, but I'm nervous about regrets, it's so damn expensive. Luckily, they sell it at the pharmacy nearby so I can go compare with my Kosas. The new Anna Sui is intriguing. I just got Kosas (very nice) and want to try the Saie as well. I have the Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder and I'm still trying to make that work.
Wonderful summary, so much work. I have the chantecaille blur powder and it is a tad dark for me as well so I am looking at the westman atelier creme for blurring. It is very difficult to pick out the right product so I am so grateful that you have done this work for us. Thank you and I am hoping I am on the right track.
@@LexiJongsorry, I saw that you also had the pink one. I really love the brightening look on the pink one. In your opinion, this WA powder is up there with the two powders we love?
It is up there but it is very different. It's more of a pressed pigment in texture so it is much thinner and not like a traditional powder yet still gives a similar effect.
Hi Lexi, sorry I have another question on the Sisley loose powder. Do you like the Irisee more or the Rose D’Orient more? I learned that the Irise is more shimmery so a lot of people don’t like it but a matte powder doesn’t do anything for me as it flattens my face. So is the Rose D’Orient matte or offering enough radiance? Thanks
I don't have the irisee but I have heard mostly positive things abour the shimmer so I think you might like it. The rose d'orient will probably be too matte for you.
Thank you so much for all your detail and work in this video! I am trying to decide between Westman Atelier pink bubble and Givenchy Viola rose loose powder. Which do you think is better for more dry, mature undereyes and dry skin?
I honestly think both are good options and you would like both of them but I would go with the Westman Atelier as it is a bit more blurring. I think if you tap a little on under the eye with your finger, that would be the best method and then you can use a soft fluffy brush to sweep away any excess powder.
Hi Lexi, thank you for your video. Would you please make another one on powders? This video was very confusing for me because while you were still talking on one powder for example the sisley powder you were showing and testing the chantecaille. This happend throughout. Thank you.
Everything was done in pairs for the right and left side of my face and shown twice as I spoke. If the two powders for right and left were not in that moment of discussion, did you try restarting the video in case it wasn't syncing properly? I explained how it worked in the beginning of the video.
@@LexiJong yes i did start it again and also i do see what you are saying that you did one powder on right cheek and another on the left cheek. However, the voice over that was made with you in another dress when talking about the two particular powder switches back and forth in the visual but isn't clear which one it is that you are preferring because you switch the visual yet another time between the two powders but seem to be talking about which one remains a guess. Sorry if i am makinBut g this more confusing than the video was to me. Not to worry though, i still enjoy your videos. Thank you for making them.
Great side by side comparisons Lexi. When it comes to the pink powders, do you think could help with the undertone of a foundation? I have a pink undertone and find very few foundations work for my exact coloring (to me its not a match unless I could use it to cover up a spot on my face without you being able to tell). While I'm not looking for brightening effects, I was thinking the Westman Atelier Powder in Pink Bubble may help just a bit with a foundation undertone that's slightly off. Is that a realistic expectation, or wishful thinking? While it makes sense in theory I don't see any of the setting powders making your face look "pinker" and I prefer he finish of other setting powders I already have like the KGD if it won't help with the undertone. Thank you!
I think it will help a little with the undertone of the foundation but it won't be a lot. I have actually tried it myself on a foundation that is a bit too yellow for me and i definitely noticed a difference but it is pretty minimal so it is more of a subtle tint. It won't disguise the shade completely but it will lessen the shade disparity imo.
@@LexiJong Thank you. That actually sounds like what I'm looking for. I've only found 2-3 foundations with a shade match I'm happy with that meet other criteria I look for and even one of those is "close enough". If I can move "close enough" to "good" it helps.
Hey Lexi.. Such a lovely thorough hardwork👌👌👏…I really haven’t seen such a helpful nd thorough video👌❤️I have CT , gucci ,hourglass nd Laura mercier..guerlain meteorites in med nd now after ur reviews gonna buy givenchy cos it’s available in India nd will try to get my hands on WA creme ..🤞🏻🤞🏻Urs top five powders video if possible ❤️❤️
Hi, Lexi! Just wanted to take time from my day to let you know how greatly we appreciate your hard work and commitment! Your videos are always so seamless, well-edited and extremely informative, and you are an inspiration for sharing your experience and content with us. :) Would you be able to recommend a powder that comes closest to Chantecaille's Eclat Doux? It hasn't been available anymore, even in Canada, and I'm trying to find one that has a similar texture and finish. I too consider it to be one of my all-time favorites! 😊 Thank you, again, for all that you do! 💖
Thank you so much Beatrix. Unfortunately I still haven't found anything with a similar texture but I am always searching. I had heard a rumor that Chantecaille is considering bringing it back so perhaps put in a request with them and maybe they will actually do it.
@@LexiJong - Thank you so much for taking time from your day to respond so thoughtfully, Lexi! 🤗 I greatly appreciate your having done so. And again, I always enjoy your videos and meticulously curated content, so thank you for that as well! I have put in a couple of requests to bring back Eclat Doux in the past, and I will be right with you, should that hope ever turn into reality! 🥰 Till then, sending so much love and gratitude! 🙏🏻🌈🌠❤️
@@LexiJong - By the way, Lexi, which finishing powders or products would you recommend for the meantime that give the closest finish to the Eclat Doux? I.e. a non-glittery but still noticeable "glow from within"? :) I trust your opinion implicitly, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Sending so much love! 🤗❤️
By the way my fave one is the Cle de Peau loose powder, a pinky one but I cannot find it anymore ???? It was a reffilible powder ans I love both the component and the powder. So I m gonna keep the component and put in another powder
That's a good idea. I know they have been changing some of their powders. I don't think we have the new ones yet though. There doesn't seem to be much talk about them.
@@LexiJong what a tremendous video! I was so interested that I saw twice!!! Thank you Lexi I needed this video in order to stop to buy powder that doesn't work for my type/color of skin. I will give another chance to me :) stay safe. Ida
The loose or the pressed? I feel like the pressed is more matte. Maybe you would like the order with a fluffier brush so you are using less product. I really wish Chantecaille would bring back the eclat doux. It was the best!
@@LexiJong the Givenchy loose powder! On the Dior foundation it looked so heavy and cakey, and on the beautiful CDP tge Foundation, it looked fine but it’s so matte, my face was effectively flat, LOL, you know we Asians have pretty flat faces, so it didn’t help!!
Then I would suggest something like the Koh Gen Do powder instead (brightening moisture powder for pressed or the sheer moist powder for loose). I think it helps prevent that overly matte look.
I love your reviews. However, I think giving "per gram" information is unnecessary (and annoying): everyone can do their math. When it comes to a face, who cares about paying $10-$20 extra here and there? I'm here to see your face :) ! Thank you.
Thank you! It's so hard to choose just one since they have different purposes or finishes. If you can specify what you want to use it for, that helps. For example, for setting powder I choose Givenchy prisme libre with the Sisley pressed powder as a runner up. For finishing powder, meteorites. I guess for an all around powder for any use, I might choose the Westman Atelier. Honestly though as my skin changes throughout the year, I may gravitate towards different powders.
@@LexiJong Thank You for replying back. I’m looking to buy finishing powder to create a very smooth skin but I also have dry skin. I don’t use any foundation but I use the finishing powder on my skin. I don’t know which one would be best. Thank you again. 💕💕
@@coreykelly2523 depending on how dry you are, you may like the meteorites buffed in. If your skin gets aggravated from a buffing brush though, i would recommend the westman atelier with the patting and rolling method or a fluffy brush. I think it is thin enough that it won’t look powdery. Another great option you may want to check out is koh gen do. I would recommend their loose sheer moist powder. This might be the best bet for you actually so check out reviews and see what you think.

Thank you so much Virginie! I am so glad it is helpful. I was so afraid that the differences wouldn't be noticeable enough on camera.
@@LexiJong yes it s noticeable specially the radiance and or the mattify effect… ‘not sure of my english 😬
@@virginibab7709 thank you! Your English is perfect.
I love powders!! Although I’m oily, I still found the video helpful and entertaining!!!!
So glad it was helpful!
Thank you so very much Annie! I am truly appreciative and I am so glad this is helpful! Please let me know what you think about the meteorites.
@@LexiJong I will! 😄
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate Joanna!
I love the Dior Cushion Powder. I didn't know there was a lavender shade. Let me go see if I can find it lol. Great video. Powders are rather new to my makeup routine so I enjoyed learning more about all the options.
If you haven't found it yet, it is at the Dior website. It wasn't there a few days ago in the lavender shade but it is now. Good luck Shae!
Thank you for sharing Lisa! Definitely see if you can try out the WA first. I think it is incredible.
That’s a lot of work! Thank you, Lexi!
Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! I think you will really like the creme. Thank you so much for watching MaryAnn!
Thanks so much. I look forward to your videos, so comprehensive.
May I ask why did you choose the Westman Atelier in shade creme(yellow) and not translucent or pink? Thanks, Lexi!
I have the pink and creme shade. I wanted to keep all the colors similar in this video.
@@LexiJongsorry, I saw that you also had the pink one. I really love the brightening look on the pink one. In your opinion, this WA powder is up there with the two powders we love?
It is up there but it is very different. It's more of a pressed pigment in texture so it is much thinner and not like a traditional powder yet still gives a similar effect.
omg this is the video i didnt know i needed. :) thanks :)
Thank you!
@@LexiJong wow you already know me so well!! Yeah that’s the feeling I have too!!
@@LexiJong Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this powder collection review! I've got a question - does Sisley pressed powder oxidize on skin?
I have not noticed any oxidation with my shade Rosy.
@@LexiJong Thank you :) I've got my answer.
@@LexiJong And give your forearms a break, Lexi! XD
@@王楠-u4z lol, thanks!
@@gro16 Thank you. I am sorry if it is confusing.
@@LexiJong No problem at all. Just my take and as you can see i am in the minority. lol.
Brilliant work Lexie
Thank you Kathleen!
@@masonjeq4261 if you try it, please let me know what you think
Love this breakdown!

@@beatrixsyjuco Thank you! I hope we can successfullly convince them!
@@LexiJong - Fingers crossed for that! 😊🙏🏻❤️ Thank you, again, for being so wonderful! 🤗
Love your channel ❤
Thank you so much!! I appreciate it!
There doesn't seem to be much talk about them.
great video. thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Yo need to tried Cle de Peau refining pressed power 😍
Yes! I want to try that one.
Good morning Lexi. Yes!!!
I hope it is helpful Ida!
@@LexiJong what a tremendous video! I was so interested that I saw twice!!! Thank you Lexi I needed this video in order to stop to buy powder that doesn't work for my type/color of skin. I will give another chance to me :) stay safe. Ida
I got the Givenchy powder in Satin Blanche, in my opinion it’s too matte. It makes my face look so flat!!
@@LexiJong but the Ko Gen Do loose powder is too dark for my skin tone.
@@Nathalie_Jackie the natural lighting powder is too dark. This one is translucent. The pressed also comes in a light pink.
😊💜😊
Thanks!
I love your reviews. However, I think giving "per gram" information is unnecessary (and annoying): everyone can do their math. When it comes to a face, who cares about paying $10-$20 extra here and there? I'm here to see your face :) ! Thank you.
Thank you!
@@LexiJongWe loved the per gram info. One of the more fascinating elements, particularly concerning the WA product line. 😊
THANK YOU!!!! THE BEST VIDEO EVER!
If you have to pick ONLY ONE out of all this which one would you pick??
@@LexiJong THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! I’ll go ahead and buy what you suggested and will let you know! Thank you very much again!!!🙏🙏💕💕
@@coreykelly2523 thank you! I can't wait to hear how it works out!
