Pioneer you should add some screen to dj1000! It what it needs 😍 I had this controller but if it will have a screen and be standalone it would be so nice. I think people can choose standalone or not because a lot of loves the ddj1000 like it is😍🎛🔥🎵🎶

Hello, our Serato DJ controllers (any unit named DDJ-S*) usually have Slicer or Slicer Loop as a pad mode. The XDJ-RX3 is an “all-in-one DJ system”. While it can be used as DJ controller to controller software, it’s primary function is to be used as a standalone unit. The pad modes on an all-in-one system reflect functions that can be used for standalone use.

My dream is to be able to conquer a unit of this XDJ-RX3. Here in Brazil it is not available yet, I also do not have all the financial resources to obtain, but it is a big dream, because now that I am resuming my events after a long period of pause due to the Pandemic. It would be a wonderful opportunity to return on the right foot. Maybe a DJ Pioneer Usa doesn't make that dream come true as a Christmas present?
With the cue link, are you able to listen to another part of the track that’s currently playing by touching the waveform like how it’s done on the CDJ-3000? Also, is there gonna be a white limited edition released anytime soon?

@@PioneerDJUSA Will do….👍 Also, just wanted to share an idea if it already hasn’t been thought of by Pioneer DJ. We all know that CDJ-3000 and the DJM V-10 are going to be the club and festival standards for the foreseeable future. I think if the next iteration of XDJ-XZ resembled a four channel DJM V-10 style of mixer and of course a bigger screen and all the updates, it would make an awesome all in one controller to have at home so that club and festival DJs can feel right at home when they are on the stage.
Question: How to use sync button on Pioneer DJ rx3 standalone controller when one track is 70 bpm and the other track is 140 bpm? It sounds weird when a 70 bpm track is synced to 140 bpm or the other way around. When I use Serato on a laptop, it will automatically sync them as 70 and 140 respectively, but I am not able to do the same using the sync button on the hardware.
Great question! Relative half time and double time is featured in DJ software like in Serato and rekordbox. But it’s not in standalone. We’ll definitely let our product developers know about your inquiry looking for it.

Currently, if you plug an iPhone or iPad directly to the USB port, you can play songs directly using the rekordbox app. You can download and play music immediately if you download using Apple Music.
Quick Question 2:
1. I know the file types playable standalone in the RX3 does not include MP4,AVI etc (video files), obviously; however, what happens when I am using rekordbox? WIll the "DJ software" source load those video files onto the RX3 screen and play the audio??
2. Will the serato support come with serato dj pro unlock, or will it be a paid upgrade?
Hello, to answer your questions.
1. Video files do not export to usb storage drives. However, you can use rekordbox in performance mode and use the XDJ-RX3 like a DJ controller. Doing so will allow you to play video files like audio files.
2. When Serato DJ Pro support is released, it will be hardware unlock.

Will there be backward compatibility for Rekordbox 5 performance mode??
Standalone:
If you export to a USB flash drive from rekordbox 5, the library on the drive will work on the XDJ-RX3, but, you will not get the option for 3-band EQ.
Controller/rekordbox Performance Mode:
As a DJ controller, the XDJ-RX3 will only work with the upcoming version of rekordbox 6 or newer. It will not work with rekordbox 5. New products will not be supported on discontinued DJ software. With that said, please keep in mind, the XDJ-RX3 is a "hardware unlock" device for rekordbox. That means you will not need a subscription to use the latest rekordbox with the XDJ-RX3. The same goes with Serato DJ Pro.
Can you plug in A flash drive with Serato playlists and tracks? Do all cue points, bpm, and loop features work? Thanks
You would have to transfer your Serato playlist either manually or through a third party conversion app into rekordbox, then export to a flash drive.
At 6:58 your master output meters are showing in mono, is there an option to have it in stereo like your DJM-600?
The unit was actually set to stereo, but the audio track that was playing was in mono. There is however a way to toggle stereo/mono for the master output in the Utility Menu on the touch display.

Can I use my iPhone music library to load tracks using Rekordbox ?
If the music is downloaded to your computer, yes. If it’s stream, you cannot.
Interested in the recordbox performance mode, keeps getting mentioned but no demos
rekordbox lets you customize your performance modes using the pad editor, so you can change them to whatever you want.
Nice unit, seriously considering this next. As big as it is, should have gone all in on full size jogs and a bit longer tempo throw.
I’m pretty sure the tempo sliders are standard cdj length… they certainly look like they are.
That is correct. The tempo slider is the same length as CDJs, which is the same length as on turntables.
@@PioneerDJUSA Now hear me out. This, but 4 channels and 2 displays, one for each side. Been waiting on that one for a long time. Maybe mention that to the R&D department. I'm sure it's been thought of before, but that's what I would find to be perfect. Keep on doing what y'all do. I'll be a Pioneer fanboy forever. I do see room for improvement though and y'all have been doing well in that the past few years. Not all of us have the funds or even the need for a full setup, but would love to get as close as we can. 🙂

does that screen detach? seems like a flex would seperate it even in a case.
The screen is fixed in it's position. This keeps the structure more rigid, rather than having mechanical parts. This is similar to how the displays on the preceding XDJ-RX2 and XDJ-RX are. It's best to use a case made to fit the XDJ-RX3.

It depends what you are looking for, and your preference for playing style.
- XDJ-RX3 has the updated hardware that loads songs faster, larger screen, with playlist bank, FX bank, and additional pad modes.
- XDJ-XZ is capable of Pro DJ Link, DVS, with CDJ sized jog wheels.

Yes. You can either connect your device to the aux or channel line inputs of the XDJ-RX3. Or you can connect the RX3's booth output into one of the inputs of your device.

What is ur best answer?
No. We have tested up to 2TB usb flash drives. The device can read both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 sticks but natively run on USB 2.0. Certain brands and models can vary in performance. However, sticking to well know brands usually give great results.

The good thing wth this one is that, this product is the same as DJM900. And wave form looks like CDJ3000. Does RX3 support FLAC and WAV files?
XDJ-RX3 support both FLAC and WAV as well as AAC and AIFF.

The XDJ-RX3 uses hardware beat FX and color FX.

I wish I could trade my never-been-used RX2 for the RX3…I know…wishful thinking 💭. Although I don’t like Rekordbox so much, I love the features of connecting with IOS devices, and integrating with Apple Music. 👏
If your rx2 has never been used I’m sure you’d get a good price for it. Pioneer equipment tends to hold its resale value well unless it’s in very bad condition.
Just buy the rx3 on eBay and say you were sent the wrong model and send back your rx2 🤣

The display is fixed at an angle. This is to keep it more solid to avoid any additional mechanical components that could break. If you are mobile with it, it's recommended to use a case.
Does it support Serato ?

Why doesn’t lighting control and phrase not get exported with files and rbdmx-1 not work.
If you use the XDJ-RX3 with rekordbox in Performance Mode, you can utilize the RB-DMX1 for rekordbox lighting control.

The DDJ-800 wouldn't have the 10.1 inch touch screen. In performance mode, rekordbox displays waveforms and deck parameters. The XDJ-RX3 also has an improved DAC bringing the sound quality to match the DJM-900NXS2.

The XDJ-RX series has always been a 2 channel platform. However, it does have an auxiliary and portable input that allows you to bring in another audio device or instrument.

While the XDJ-RX3 is natively supported by rekordbox and Serato coming in 2022, Virtual DJ is known to create mappings with many of our DJ products. Please check with their website for compatibility.
GATE CUE????? Please tell us this is coming to other controllers. I can’t imagine this is a hardware limitation
Gated hot cues on DJ controllers are actually dependent on the DJ software you are using. But as far as all-in-one systems go, Gate Cue as a pad mode is not there. However, you can do something similar to gate cue if your device has a slip function. Simply set a hot cue at the end of the song where it is silent. Trigger that hot cue so it goes to the end, then turn on "slip". Now trigger your hot cues, they will function like gate cue. Turn off slip to go back into regular hot cue.

Gate cue….I know it won’t happen but please add this to the other similar controllers.
On DJ controllers, gate cue exists if your DJ software supports it. On rekordbox, you have the option to toggle it on. On Serato, this is the only setting.
On All-in-One Systems and media players, with the exception of the XDJ-RX3, there isn't a gate cue pad mode or function. However, there is a way to make something like it work. When you load a track, bring the play-head to the very end of the track where you hear only silence. Turn "Slip" on. Now trigger your hot cues. They will only trigger when you hold them down, just like gate cue. Turn slip off when you're ready to go back to normal hot cue.

USB 2.0 in 2022… 👏
Individual song files are relatively small and don’t require the bandwidth of usb 3.0. Song load time on the XDJ-RX3 is faster the the CDJ-2000NXS2. While the ports are 2.0, you can use a USB 3.0 drive. The advantage is your rekordbox exporting to the flash drive will be faster.
Please add a crossfader curve adjustment to the RX3. The crossfader curve that is built into the unit is pretty bad. Everyone that I have shown this to agrees that it needs to be updated badly or you can add the option to change the curve in the utility menu. It's a total deal-breaker for a lot of dj's. The crossfader curve adjustment adjustment is a switch located above the crossfader and between the channel faders, labeled “crossfader curve”.

There is an EPIC FAIL in this gear!! The browserlist of the folder does NOT show BPM and KEY no more like on the RX2... Selecting the next track becomes almost undoable this way (except if all tracks are in one BPM and one Key which they are never)...!!! BPM and Key only show after 'loading' a track... Epic fail!!!
You can in fact view your tracks in Key. When you’re browsing a playlist, click the MENU button, and multiple sort criteria will show. Default, Alphabetical, Artist, Album, BPM, Rating, and Key are your options. Default is the setting you set in rekordbox during export.
