Couple reasons I like these better for 6-700hp street cars. Or the cars that are not losing ac/power steering/tubular front end etc. No excessively hot tubing literally everywhere in the engine bay creating heat and burning all of the power steering hoses, spark plug wires, and fitting like shit. Not creating back pressure with a super small turbo that is used for factory location fitment. They sound worse being they are technically another muffler. The need for aftermarket k member and squeezing the exhaust from the front back. There is always something needing tightened or fixed on the middle of the road turbo nuts. These are maintenance free. Engine runs cooler. Breathes better. But yes, Ls engines respond great to turbos. We have done a ton in the past. For the guys running 93 and wanting to drive their car a lot. These and the smaller vortech, prochargers, lsa’s, and magnusuns are the shit!
LS engines and turbos go great together, but it is nearly impossible to fit one onto a GTO. 1. Move the radiator forward and run a crossover so you can have a large single 2. relocate the battery and place the turbos super far forward (CX racing style, still hard to fit wastegates) 3. Mount them low behind the engine (APS style) but then you need long charge pipes AND intake pipes to avoid sucking up water/rocks. Needs electric pump too 4. rear mount
Do u need a 3 bar map sensor? Been looking into this set up for my gto ported 317 heads Btr stage 4 cam fast 102 intake with this set up planning to run flex fuel or e85. Trying to make close to 700whp

Great videos, always informative and down to earth. Quick question, think you can max one of these out (2.9 pulley) with a 6-rib serpentine or for sure need a 8-rib setup?
@@NorthernPerformanceCars Nice! I am running an LS4 spacing pulley setup because I have a literally a few millimeters of clearance on the front of the Audi LS Swap so I’m stuck with a 6-rib serpentine setup, do you think you could get away with that or have to use an 8-rib setup to avoid belt slip to reach those power figures?

Would love to see more videos on this car. Gonna go with this setup for my GTO
We've had a couple TS cars come in and ive been very impressed with the blower. Very impressive, low cost blower
Sounds good just got my torquestorm supercharger rt bacc from shop it made 575 with 3.25 pulley ima pulley down to the 3.1 pulley
Nice!!!
I have a couple friends who work at Torqstorm, they're good dudes! Their blowers work well too, and the blow off valves just sound NASTY in person.
They are a great company to deal with for sure!
Do they get employee pricing ?
Ive got an LS3 swapped GTO and you may have just sold me on a Torqstorm over an LSA setup.
I feel like LS engines respond much better to turbo set ups. But with a stock bottom end it's not worth getting since you can't up the horsepower.

That bov sounds craaaaazy bro! lol
Torquestorm vs LSA what in your opinion is the best bang for buck and best for power ?
@@Temperature956 the lsa hits harder. Makes way earlier torque. I like roots blowers the best.
Only centrifugal besides Procharger that sounds like a turbo

What fuel pump and injectors did you use on this set up?

I’d rather have a pd for the torque curve myself. Especially if you work with it.
But no we’ve done a handful of trucks. People love.

Through a stick we’ve made 690-700rwhp on a heads cam ls3 combo on ethanol.
They are decent little

What did you do for fuel set up on this?
450 in tank. 93 octane is all
Yesss. More torqstorm videos lol
Are the kits easy to fit
What intercooler did you put on this GTO? I’m going to go with this setup on my 2005 GTO
A Mishimoto.
6.0?
What your thought on a 6.0 lq4 with tsp f35cam, 243 mild .25, 1 7/8 headers, with 4k stall? Love your videos by the way bro!

I just want to state that a cammed LS3 with a torqstorm only making 613 is EXTREMELY low.

I just check their website
I think their prices went up they start at 5500 for LS 🥲
I just chose a stock hub one for a Silverado to check because that would have been news to me.
And it’s $3,245 plus shipping.
@@NorthernPerformanceCars thank you
I think that more expensive package is the plus kit that includes accessories....
I ordered mine through tps and it was 3950 for the TS with 3.1 option, 72lb injectors and a mishimoto type r intercooler kit
