Most of the great Metal Songs out there are heavily influenced by Classical music. However, her performance reminds us not only of the skill these musicians have, but the fact that they really do know their stuff, and aren't just playing the same 3 chords.

Any good piano player can do that. And yes, it looks like brain surgery if you are not a piano player, and also one of the reasons why you need a lot of talent and lessons to become a decent piano player. No way I could do it.
Bach, Chopin, and Liszt are infamous for doing exactly that. Bach usually had 4 voices to mirror the bass, tenor, alto, and soprano opera singers. Liszt liked using 5 to add in a tenor singer
With this song, definitely know your left hand or the "coordination issue" part lol The more you play it, you'll catch on and won't even know your left hand is there, you shouldn't have to think or anticipate left hand in order to play the song. it's basically like playing on autopilot, the more you play it the more it becomes natural.
the genius is in the arrangement, i.e. her 'version' of the song, as you say representing all the parts played by multiple instruments. The playing is good too
I am a Metallica and i used to play the piano and let me tell you guys, this girl nailed every single little note in her interpretation. Even the details. I wish I could be half as good as she is.
The whole time I was listening I kept thinking "she can't possibly play the solo, and the rest of the piece at once, can she?". Holy moly, you did! That was outstanding, I feel like that was probably as hard as it looked like to play!
I love the way that this was a faithful representation, done brilliantly. Many people who re-adapt classic metal for classical instruments do so with too many fancy additions that serve the payer's vanity rather than add anything to the piece. Excellent, well done!

Fade to black.

Powerful and candid. I've heard a few piano renditions of Fade to Black, but this one truly portrays the dynamics of Metallica's dark tones and their use of neoclassical modes. This cover would make Beethoven and James Hetfield very proud. It is well done indeed.
@@m.shanebritton7830 There is a lot of Bach in Burton, however I guess he just excelled standing on shoulders of giants as some of the stuff Cliff Burton's Metallica played was in part traversing The well Tempered Clavier in ways not experienced until the 1980s.

You ca DO it!!!!!! RUclips has many teaching videos. I've learned some songs from them, but you have to be picky whom you learn from. Easy to figure out. Follow your passion.
The back story of this song, i relate to on a personal level. My life was always parallel to harsh guitars, aggressive structures, raging energy trying to explain sorrow. The poetical nature of this being played on a grand piano by a beautiful woman draws a good parallel that brings me to tears. I've felt this music for so very long, with this rendition, i feel the music once again in a different light.
I'm with you Brother. I had tears not crying but just tears coming out and not understanding why until I read your comment. I wanna go back and do it different I guess not sure
It's insane I find myself with a tear in my eye listening to so many of your performances it comes from nowhere and it's not as though any of these songs would have this emotional effect on me ordinarily but it happens often listening to your work. All I can say is thank you for your amazing talent.
Just brilliant! There are some other piano covers of Fade to Black out there but they have retained the more aggressive impact found in the original. But this arrangement is so much more sensitive and emotional and played with flawless technique that can carry it without a filter of restrictions. This version syncs 100% with my present state of mind. Alexandra Kuznetsova you got talent beyond the ordinary.

How could you possibly play the rhythm and solo parts simultaneously and the rhythm and vocals parts simultaneously? Just awesome and beautiful
Ya that's what I was thinking. Guess anything is possible? Amazing......
Agree!! She was amazing!
she played this song so unrealistically elegantly....
I have been playing this for decades on guitar and I'm totally impressed by this performance. I actually think it sounds better on piano.
Mind blown. She's a STAR! 🌟
I've heard a lot of versions of this song for years, and this tops them. Outstanding 👏
I concur !!!
Yes its simply amazing
To find comfort in this beautiful song in any form is only what is longed for
I love the way that this was a faithful representation, done brilliantly. Many people who re-adapt classic metal for classical instruments do so with too many fancy additions that serve the payer's vanity rather than add anything to the piece. Excellent, well done!
Left hand = James, Right hand = Kirk
no no no, Left - Cliff+James, Right Kirk+James ))
But where is Lars xD
Beethoven and mozart up in heaven like see thats that shit boy
Wow
Lars between left and right... legs...
Incredible and Beautiful
As an old-school Metallica fan and a lover of music my entire life, that was SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cliff would approve
James would too, he plays piano
The solo was absolutely perfect. Masterfully done as always.
WOW! Awesome cover of Metallica's greatest song.
When listening to this, whilst hearing the original playing in the back of you're head... you Rock girl...🤘
*your head
What a tremendously magnificent rendition of such a beautiful song done absolutely so well and with such heart and obvious passion!
Guy, I can read what u where writing but I could only tranlate with deepl translator: but what u where saying is definately what I also was feeling. thanks for your comment...
"Fade To Black" has got to be the BEST Metallica song ever!! Noch ein mal!!
İt's not best youre just beginner :)
Fade to black.
Enough to bring tears to my eyes.
Talented babe.
Seriously, made me cry. This is beautiful, so far the best piano cover I've heard in my life. Congratulations and thank you for making me feel too many emotions with this performance. No words for describing it.
OMG that was beautiful I almost cried. The only version of Fade To Black I will listen to from now on.
Powerful and candid. I've heard a few piano renditions of Fade to Black, but this one truly portrays the dynamics of Metallica's dark tones and their use of neoclassical modes. This cover would make Beethoven and James Hetfield very proud. It is well done indeed.
Beethoven or Burton? Burton did more Bach than Beethoven though ...
@@alphamale7783 Excellent point. I had totally forgotten that Cliff Burton (R.I.P.) had a background in classical music.
@@m.shanebritton7830 There is a lot of Bach in Burton, however I guess he just excelled standing on shoulders of giants as some of the stuff Cliff Burton's Metallica played was in part traversing The well Tempered Clavier in ways not experienced until the 1980s.
@@alphamale7783 Good points.
Oh, my god! I'm a huge Metallica fan and I had never heard a piano version of this song! This is certainly one of the greatest things I have ever heard in my entire life! Congratulations for your talent! Greetings from Brazil!

My most favorite song from metallica,I am amazed at what u can do on piano especially metallica songs, keep it up girl,u have amazing talent.that is why metallica's music will never fade away.keep it up
The last part is indescribable... girl you Rock
I am a huge Metallica fan and Fade to Black is one of my favorite songs but I've never seen it played like that! I was wondering how she would hit Kirk's solo at the end and not only did she nail that but she kept James's rythem going as well. Im sure the band would be very proud of this! Great job 👏
its difficult for two guitars and you just make this effortless from 3:45 on. Love your take on this song, You have an amazing talent and certainly have put the time practicing your craft, A pleasure to listen to!
You're fantastic!!! 🌷🌷🌷🌹🌹😍 Beautiful cover 🌷🌷🌷
I literally cried listening to this master piece.
Dear lord, this is a masterpiece. I've started to play keyboard and now you are my inspiration & goal. Wish I could play like you one day!
Same with me, I have her as my inspiration and goal too, been playing for about 3 months now.
I'm waiting on your videos next 😁
Don't give up!
You ca DO it!!!!!! RUclips has many teaching videos. I've learned some songs from them, but you have to be picky whom you learn from. Easy to figure out. Follow your passion.
@@garrykennedy5484 thank you for the support!! 🥰
@@sbishop1700 You are not alone. Do something with it though. Write, paint, create, compose, use it for something positive.
