  • One of my favorite compact utility tractor tools and highly underrated for using around the farm and homestead..

    I built something similar, but I didn’t attach mine to the carry all. I built it free standing out of pressure treated lumber and mounted large heavy duty casters on the bottom of it. That way I can just slide the carry all under it and can lift it and drop it off where I want to. Keeps my carry all free for other uses. I load firewood in the carry all, and can drop it off at the wood burner then park the tractor.and unload it when I want. Thinking about building a few more and using them as needed where and when I need them.

    Thanks for the video. I am about to build a carry-all box for my forks. I don't want to have forks, then a carry-all, then all these other implements just waiting their turn for usage. Building a carry-all will provide two handy tools from one base. And yep, I've done the same as you, use the ATV to haul behind it whatever tool I was using, then go back for the tractor for its use. It became a whole lot of walking (for this one-man-team). Well, I really had three (me, myself, and of course...I). Thanks again for sharing your video.

      #Houndsman One -- So, did you mean that you were going to build a carryall box that could be used on a 3-point AND on a set of forks? That's what I want to do, but I haven't seen nor heard of anybody else who had that idea. (In fact, that's really what I'm on here today to try to find!) Did you end up building something like that, and do you have pics to share and stories to tell? Inquiring minds (and folks who want to build what I want to build) want to know! :-)

      @@timsawyer7443 Hey there, Tim. I did build a carry-all designed specifically for my forks that are easily attached to my 3-point hitch. I made a video for a subscriber and showed him the forks/carry-all. Sorry, I didn't show measurements for the carry-all since I did not think anyone was going to make a fork carry-all.. here's the link:ruclips.net/video/OO_iUFltawk/видео.html If you desire, I can easily get measurements for you.

      Tim, I hope the video kind of made sense and showed the 3 point hitch fork carry-all

      @@houndsmanone4563 yes -- I just watched the video, and it's great! You did KIND OF what I want to do, but from a different angle (metaphorically speaking). I definitely hope to "borrow" some of your design for my carryall. Thanks for posting, and especially for giving me the link to that video!

    If you use 1x instead of 2x boards on the upright you'll save some weight.

    Think I'm going to do the same, will work great for a round bale too!

      Thanks Dave. Never thought about bales but yes, the possibilities are endless.

    Excellent video -- thanks for sharing your ideas. I assume the 275 gallon tank you carried was not full -- that's around 2200lb! I'm close to pulling the trigger on my first tractor and I plan to get one of those 275 gal totes without the plastic tank inside (metal cage), add some plywood on the inside to keep small pieces from falling out, and using it on a carry all to put logs I cut up. I think they're about 4 feet wide and tall and about 3 feet deep.

      That is a great idea. You should take pictures when you are done. The Kubota I have in the video is a B3030 and I believe the weight rating for the three point is around 2k so no, that tank wasn't full but the 47HP LS I just did a review on would handle it. Thanks for watching.

    I just got my carry all last week on Craig's list used for $90.00. It has never had any lumber add to it, that has been left for me to do. What length did you cut the 2x6 boards ? Thanks Kevin in Cincinnati

    • @American-OutdoorsNet
      @American-OutdoorsNet  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Kevin, My boards are treated and just a hair over 5'. No science went behind my length other than I thought 4' would probably cause me to make more frequent trips ie loading wood, and if I went with 6' I couldn't get thru a gate I have leading to our timber. I really like that there really is no "wrong" to a carry all; they are just so customizable. Great buy for $90 by the way and congrats!

      No longer than your tightest gate is wide. ;)

    "pointy headed NASA types" without them you would be strapping that carry all to your back.
