This is my favorite channel on RUclips! Thanks for showing us how this is done with great explanations! I purchased one just like this in the spring this year and I’m enjoying it so far as well! What a beautiful bonsai tree!

I loved this content. The how to will be useful to me, as we’ve just installed a bosaied pine. So scared I’ll mess it up. I’m looking forward to the process.

Nice job Kevin! The spherical shapes add such a nice manicured look. Pleasing to the eye.

I wanted to suggest…obviously a lot of work…but if the branch still has live tips you could back graft it.

    Hi Kevin,
Now on the juniper obviously they don't have "candles" so if but trimming then down that doesn't stop them from reaching there full potential correct ❓they can still grow out if you let them ❓

If I understand your question correctly, yes, you can shear them for years on end to keep them smaller. But when you stop, they will continue to grow to their mature height and width.

Thanks Kevin I appreciate your videos and your insights. If I may ask are you in NORTH DAKOTA ❓I'M in Missouri. I was just wondering with the amount of snow you get... Wow... Keep it up there 😊

Yes. Born and raised here. I lived in MN for a while, about 15 years. The Missouri Botanical Gardens are at the top of my list for a visit/vacay, never been there.

Any chance you can speak more on the juniper? Virginiana vs scopularum like what are the differences since nurseries say they are the same I’m afraid once they grow out will I be disappointed? Blue arrow or skyrocket junipers etc
    Thx !

I like that topic idea. I’ll have to do some exploring to see if I can find each native species for comparison. Stay tuned.

Thx I will be watching. From what I’ve found the blue arrow is being called a better shrub than the skyrocket. I have found that the skyrocket comes in the Rocky Mountain and the cedar families. I don’t think it’s the same look and shouldn’t be mixed. Same thoughts with blue arrow…Let’s see what you can find on the subject ! Thanks again !
