I have 2 and they are great for those summer days at an outdoor range. Way better than baseball hats.
Agreed! I also have a Russian / British boonie that has a slightly shorter brim. It’s a Sniper / Scout style? It’s supposed to be good for shooting too.

Hats and SPF 30 (minimum) are part of my daily wear. Too many scars on my face already, yes cancer surgeries. Life guard in my teens driving as an adult lots of sun exposure. I have a couple of boonies but prefer a broader brim.
Sun exposure is serious business. I relate. 😉
