Wow, thank you so much! This was very much needed. I feel like someone with the knowhow should start making an online version of this or even just like a steam game, I know it's been around for a long while anyway so it's a surprise nobody has done that just yet
Nice Guide! I'm playing DnD now, and I have a dragonchess set. I never knew that It was 3d! The Wikipedia has words that I know not the meaning of, so a visual was very helpful! Thank you very much, my good sir.
You are correct. I can’t believe I missed that. The Hero piece moves up or down triagonally (up/down one, then over one). Thanks for pointing this out!
@@chrisspencer1166 no problem! I’d also check your local library. They might have a creator space that allows you to rent some printers. I just moved to a town that does that
This is a much needed video. Wizards should sell a Dragonchess set.
They definitely should! I’ve been thinking about making my own and definitely will once I get a 3D printer for the pieces
thank you! was looking for a guide, because my friend and I are going to play a game next session, and you answered my prayers!
No problem! I also went looking for a guide and I couldn’t find one anywhere!

That would be awesome! I wish I had the know how to do so

3:41 Isn't the Hero supposed to move *triagonally* to the upper or lower board? (That is, up or down one, then diagonal from that?)

Much props for making this

Really want to learn this game, it looks super fun.
This looks really fun, it should be a better know tabletop game. Thank you!
what does the elefant and unikhorn do in dragon chess?
I know this was 4 months ago but the elephant moves like a regular rook and the unicorn moves like a regular knight.
what program was being used to play this, I want to play it
Unfortunately there’s no program that I’ve found that has it. I set it up here manually with Roll20
Question: can the mage move diagonally?
Yes. On the middle level, it acts just like a Queen from regular chess. It can move any number of spaces vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Is there a place where you can buy the game irl or do you have to make your own?
I have yet to find a place to buy it. I’m planning on making my own once I get a good resin 3D printer
@@Voriclexx ah ok I might try to make my own then but I definitely don’t have enough money for a 3-d printer so I might have to get creative thanks

@@Voriclexx I live in a very small town so I don’t think that’ll work but I’ll check thanks for the advice
@@Voriclexx have you found a good stl online or do you model it yourself ?
