    I've got a 2006 Mercedes Vito W639 and have definitely encountered a decent chunk of these issues, will definitely be using your guides the next time I'm making a purchase... Has been very costly to fix this past year :(

      but how do you recognize the issues? unless you get one with a service book with full history, its a pig in a bag anyway.

    My Vito is on 285 k now and its still going strong. Changed a lot of stuff on it but its a tank and all cars with high mile is due to need parts. I have 2 PSA HDI and they also work well. The only bad thing with MB and PSA is when Stuff break its not fun to work with

    A lot of good info here, but some, like the fuel figures are way off. My 2009 115CDI got 7l/100k highway and 9.5 city, and after fitting a little German chip box I get 6.5-7 highway, and 9 city.

    The air conditioning condensers fail as do the electric doors which have mood swings and only lock when they feel like it.

    Any idea Should I use CeraTec Liqui moly oil additive when change the oil?
    Thanks in advance

    • @Hi.Al.
      @Hi.Al. 4 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely not ! Oil passages and oil pressurized parts will clog up and it will contribute to premature cylinder scorging

    In resume....recedes is not reliable as usually many years ago...the psa hdi engines are better on this days than any mercedes cdi engines

      dude PSA Motors these days suck! have you ever worked on one? like tried to change the glow plugs for example. these engineers put the drain on top of the glow plug holes, so it rusts them tightly to the cylinder head..😂

      nope. the engines are very good from MB. You will find a lot of Vitos with 1st motor and very high mileage. Up to 600000 kms are seen very often in the ads. And still running. Buy a 2nd hand one wit 200000 should be no problem. The MB Vito will die because of rust, but not due to the engine itself.
