Great to see you back on the bank. Totally transfixed by the serenity of it. Brilliant, one of my favourite channels. Thanks for bringing so much peace and relaxation in a chaotic world.
Nice fishing again Rob. Very informative as normal. Good that you show the access as I can’t get down to some places it’s good that show how to park and where to go top man
Another great video Rob i am unable to get to the river atm due to a major op so these video's are my fishing fix for now ! Thanks Rob keep up the great work
Another great video Rob, i agree with using the clutch instead of backwinding. I used to fish a little further upstream opposite the power station BAA water, always had plenty of Barbel.
Hi Rob, I’ve only found your videos a couple of days ago. Got to say they are some of the best on RUclips. The information about parking etc and walking the stretch to show us the access and swims is absolutely incredible. Im disabled so struggle with mobility, your videos are going to be such a great help to decide where to fish. Do u guided days by any chance would love to get out with you
Thanks Lee.. Glad you find them useful. I currently don’t offer a guiding service as my available fishing time is very limited with family and work etc.. If this changes, I’ll update my Facebook page with details there. Good luck out on the banks - Hope you catch a few 👍🎣
Brilliant video as usual, really enjoy your channel 👍 I’m thinking of trying this stretch in a couple of weeks so will go back and watch your previous video as well. 150 miles for me so hope I catch it in good form!
Nice fishing Rob, I have just started fishing again after a 25 year break from bringing up my family, I have never fished for barbel, I was strictly a carp guy before, now I am interested to try going for barbel, sub added.
@@RobsAngling Hi Rob, the Tench average around just under 4 lbs and the largest caught to date is 9 1/2 lb…On pleasure days at our club lake 80/ 100 lb bags are achievable.
hello buddy. just been watching and liking your videos ….. me and the old man are going to eveshams for a week at the end of august and one of the things he wants to do is catch a barbel on the river severn. he’s got bad knees and looking for somewhere for him to go that’s not too much of a walk is a must. your videos have got him all excited and he can’t wait to try one of your spots you mentioned and what amazing videos you have made. cracking fishing and very informative. looks amazing ….. just subscribed too … all the best and looking forward to more tips and videos before we head that way in a couple of months 👍👍😁😁🎣🎣
Hi Rob Love the videos, Very informative. keep doing what your doing. Can you night fish the Brewery inn stretch? Cant seem to find anything online. As got a long way to travel. Any pegs more suited for night fishing? Thanks Tony
Hi Tony, yes you can night fish the stretch. There are probably 2-3 pegs with the room you need. The water flow is pretty fast through this area so keep an eye on the level this time of year - There’s not many slacks. 👍🎣
The linked video was very good I live 140 miles away and couldn't find where to park or how easy it was to the bank from the parking area So Popping up to that far was not on But I found your info very helpful Not massive Barbel but still a venue to think about visiting
Hi Rob, absolutely love the videos. Thinking of coming down ober the next couple of weeks to fish this section. Is there anywhere for parking for a mid size camper/motorhome that wouldn't upset any residents/ locals? Kind regards Liam
Hi Liam, that would be limited to the Brewery Inn car park opposite the pub I’d say. I’ve not been down there recently to see if it’s open or not- Hopefully someone else might see this and be able to confirm for you. 🤞
Had some brilliant sessions down this stretch of river and the free stretch next to it. I wonder how many people have paid to fish this stretch, walked past this peg not realising this is the last peg the pub owns and have ended up fishing in the free stretch just across the little stream down stream.
Excellent as always Rob. Looks a nice Peg. Is it all night time fishing? Tend to avoid those stretches as a rule. I think I could comfortably fish that with my 'pin'! 👍
Can i ask which brand of catapult you use Rob...i`ve got a strong river pult but there`s no real stretch in the elastic which makes it poor for feeding hemp @ 20yds out.....thanks
Every time i fish this peg and the next one down im constantly snagged which i think is my lead in the rocks rather than the hook - did you experience this here at all? I only started river fishing last year and the brewery inn stretch only so looking for ways to cut this down as never confident im actually fishing. My leads are fairly small and youre using big feeders which i guess would stop it getting stuck in small crevices?
Hi Rob do you have any advice for someone new to fishing . After my last session of blanking all day I went home defeated close to selling all my gear. It's boring watching a static Rod all day. What do you do when you've not had any bites for 4-5 hours? I switched baits multiple times
I’d consider a move if you’ve not had a bite in around 2 hours max on the river - Try to travel light and explore a few different pegs to try and find some feeding fish. Good luck and stay positive - You’ll get a few bites 👍🎣🐟
You want a pint of maggots, a 13' rod, a closed face reel loaded with 3.2 bayer and 0.10/ 2lb hooklink with a size 20 on. Forget about pellets, boiles and all these fancy baits. Fish want maggots. Forget about heavy tip rods and sat staring at it for hours. Start fishing traditional style, catching everything in that swim 👍
@@RobsAngling thanks I went at 1am last Friday but was someone on the first peg you showed behind brewery inn which I had fished before but as it was dark and the steps were over grown I just went home as wasn't sure how to go downstream from bridge. I did look to the left but said private driveway or something and was dark lol. Thanks for your reply tho.
Hi, you need a UK rod licence and you need to pay for a day ticket at the pub to fish the stretch. I was using 12lb mainline with a 10lb hook length. 👍
@@RobsAngling thanks rob i am going to do a rookie soon around that area i am in alberts but they have to many do,s and donts and waters closed for working parties for me i normally fish around bridgnorth area have you been in or fished any of the albert stretches
Does the river appear to be in good health? I only ask, because of the alleged pollution of our rivers, with thousands of incidents of illegal dumping of sewage. Ive been told that the river severn has been particularly hard hit.

Will do - Thanks very much 👍🎣

Lovely video, thoroughly enjoyed that…miss my river fishing, as I now live in New Zealand. Species here are Rudd, Perch, Tench…and huge Koi carp.

Not too many I’d imagine - This peg tends to suck you into fishing it if it’s free.. Hard one to walk past 👍

Can i ask which brand of catapult you use Rob...i`ve got a strong river pult but there`s no real stretch in the elastic which makes it poor for feeding hemp @ 20yds out.....thanks
Hi Kev, it’s one of the Preston catapults - Not sure what model it is but it’s got a green frame and lightweight. 👍
great vids, great detail, great production. you mentioned 12lb barbel line. what is the manufacturer name of the line please?
apologies, just read the detail. 12lb korum barbel. keep the vids coming rob, great work.

There are some rocks and snags there - Losing a hooklength happens from time to time. Not much you can do about it if you don’t know they exist. 👍
Im going tommorow early 4am :) for my first barbel
Hi rob, vortex cocoons. What is your method of hooking them? Banding, or do you drill holes for hair rig? Just purchased some from vortex…..
Hi Paul, I mount them onto a baiting needle and hair rig them myself. They should get you a good few bites 👍🎣
Nice session.
Do you need to call them first before you go to the bank? Or just pay for the day ticket at the pub?
You just turn up at pay at the pub front door 👍

Hi John, there’s a good number of pegs there so you’d be unlucky if everything was taken. Good luck 👍🎣
Ive been a few times but to access the downstream pegs do you just walk thru that hole in the hedge opposite where the path comes out on the bridge ?
Yes you can go down the steps there or you can walk around to the left to access the downstream section 👍

I use the Korum 1.75tc Barbel rods - I have a list of the equipment and tackle I used in the video description. 👍
Do you have to prebook day tickets
Hi, no - You can just turn up and pay when you arrive 👍
Didnt think yo un co in old fish pub water a TV woodbige rob
I’m not sure about fishing around the grounds of the Woodbridge pub itself, however you can certainly fish opposite it on the Brewery Inn banks 👍
