As an artist I can confirm this is exactly what my life sounds like
this waltz reminds me too much of my grandfather. He worked a lot but he always gave space to music and poetry. I am a composer and writer thanks to him, he was my greatest inspiration. We used to listen to this and many other Strauss waltzes, which he loved. Every time i went to his house he asked me to play Strauss waltzes. We played the guitar and the piano together Until he left this world 6 months ago at 84 years old. A person with a true heart of pure gold, wonderful humility and great love for his family. R.I.P grandpa ❤️
My wedding day we danced to this . We'd still dance it today, 35 years later !!
All Strauss II 's music is wonderful. He was a genius! No doubt.
Perhaps my most favourite waltz of Strauss! Thanks for posting!
At sixteen I played Artist's Life as a duet with my music teacher on two nested grand pianos in her home of the conductor/manager of the San Gabriel Symphony. I am in my 91st year and am trying to remember their name. What a lovely memory for a person alone this evening here in Chico, CA.
One of my favorite Strauss waltzs.
just love listening while i paint.
His music is as grand as his moustache! :-})
Certainly, we will never have songs like this again, absolutely insurmountable. Being able to hear them is a gift from God.
This is the very music that inspired me to begin playing so many years ago! Thanks, JSII!
I love this waltz by Johann Strauss, this Johann Strauss waltz really express"s my feeling of beging an Artist
This brings me in a tragic, but fairy end. Like when of your parents dies and you are very sad, but you have a long long life. And you remember they for all. Of this music I like the flutes. This is perfect for a film!!!
Art can be portrayed in many forms. Be it ones words, ones ability to draw, ones music, ones cooking, ones craft. Creativity is a dangerous tool that can produce art or absolute ruin, that is the duality of art.
Dracula Dead and Loving It brought me here. Not in the OST strangely..
My friend has a bunch of old records that I like to look at and search up and this one is amazing
My dad used to waltz our 1965 ford Zephyr through the back lanes from Burnley to Blackpool. We had one of those old 'compact' cassette tape players. 1970s and few cars on the back roads to Blackpool. My parents gave me the love of Strauss. So so grateful...
One of my favorite pieces from Strauss
