I thought Bearealis would be best. When facing it during the demo. That many resistances, including it having stab glacier AND splash are already super good. But it having pretty bulky stats, including having the calm mind move essentially makes it a sturdy, and hard hitting tank. I think the calm mind move is what seals the deal for me. Because if you think about it, If you focus on making it a fast tank, then you can use static fur or calm mind depending on which coromon you face. That means you always get one defense or spd boost, and then after that you can set up your calm mind sweep. From my limited perspective of course, it did seem like Bearealis would be the best one. Having it use revenge on its last turn (and youll probably move first if you put alot of points into speed) would mean youd also be able to hit other coromon that might be trying to finish you off. At the very least they might have to send out a fast coromon to finish off your bear boy. But most speed coromon so far are also slightly more frail, so it puts you in another favorable position. Just some thoughts. Not sure how well i articulated them though lmao
@@GymLeaderEd Can you only get one of each starter per game, or can you catch multiple? Or is there a breeding center, and are most, if not all Coromon breedable? The reason I'm asking is because when I start a new game, I don't wanna go through the trouble of shiny hunting my starter. He has the best typing, but in my playthrough, I found that often he was wanting for damage outside of using Splash for fixed damage. Which was good enough for like, the midgame, but I actually wound up benching him for things that could do slightly better damage.
I'm ususlly not big on shiny hunting nor am I one to go for the fast attackers particularly, but totally got to get my hand on that perfect Toruga. Pretty sick, I was going to go bear-man anyways. As soon as I saw para-hax I knew he would be somewhat useful, I'm glad he is versatile, it leaves room for THE CHAD CHONKTOAD to fill the water spot.
lovin nibblegar simply cause I got the passive that raises his highest stat when a stat is being lowered, so in this case defense or sp def since both are tied went for a rotation of points into sp atk 1 def 2 sp def 2 but rotating between def and sp def when giving points
I remember seeing in another video that you could do a special series of things in order to start with that bug creature instead of your starter. Is that still in the game? And if so, how does it measure up?
