Greatest thing happened to me on trying to increase my starter coromon (nibblegar) in donor island. He had a potential of 13 when i came to get him back it increased to 17 i was surprised but ultimately happy cuz i like the potent color pallete ^^

I added catching trainers coromon to my playthrough. You're able to add this as a custom option right away too. Still had to search for special traits the old fashioned way but molteye in early game and more catchable rare potents was more than worth it.
Pretty awesome, maybe a video on team composition or a PvE tier list? (Smogon used to do these quite often), really loving the Coromon vids, keep it up. I also love the amount of variety in early routes, will really make for diverse playthroughs.
This is a nice breakdown/overview of all the different systems and mechanics in this game. The fact that you can cancel your nuzlock run and get all your 'mons back is really smart.
I just recently started exploring these mon taming games. I bought casette beasts, monster sanctuary and now will get coromon. Started monster sanctuary - and i friggin love it so far. 6hrs in i love the mons, the fighting style, the challenge and platforming with help from mons. Will get coromon soon. Damn im loving these games. Pokemon template but definitely unique. ❤ P.s. i love these games with pixel graphics. Just me preference

I knew about the custom difficulty settings but I was afraid to change from Normal to Custom because I was afraid I could lose out on Achievements. Is it possible for me to get future achievements if I change from Normal to Custom? I really want to try some Custom settings out, but cannot stand the thought of not getting achievements in the future of my game. Especially with how far I got in the game.
Hey Ed, there is an error I believe in the video. If your Coromon potential is 20 and you use the potentificator, it will guarantee get to level 21 and become perfect. Cheers!
Nope, this isn't an error. This was changed when the game launched. They did, however update it now so it's back to guaranteed! But yea this video was put up before they changed it back.
I still hope the Devs do release a physical copy for the Switch version,Because I did have a lot of fun with the demo and I definitely do want to pick it up on Switch well once the Switch port gets a release date after the delay.
You can use the pokemon pickup tact by using Armado who has the Hoarder trait, which acts basically the same, though the items go straight into your storage.
I’m not exactly sure how it works, but shiny systems are a huge turn off. I don’t want to have to waste hours in random battles just to find a usable monster for PvP. This is something monster sanctuary got right. Hopefully the system is different though
Idk,I think it gives more incentive to do shiny hunting but thats just me. I can see how that could be annoying if you want to do PvP but Its not like lower potential for on on are completely useless, and I feel like most people won't be bothered to spend days getting a full team of perfect just to beat people up in pvp.
im a newer player and im at the electric tower - SOMEHOW at the 5th floor while doing the puzzle i made it impossible for me to even get to a certain lever, making it impossible for me to even progress the game anymore, and i cant find a way to reset the levers or go back in my save :(
Damn the potentiflator got a nerf in the full version I guess. In the demo if you have a coromon with a value of 20 that’s a guaranteed perfect, and it’s only 500 gold, 2500 is pricey 😮 and only a 1/25 chance
Yeah, the rewards with the leveling system helped me out a lot. I spent a large chunk of time hunting for a potent Bittybolt, about 2 hours give or take, & I decided to get in a little bit of training while hunting for it which is part of what slowed down the search. After catching my potent (now perfect since thanks to Ed's guides, I found out I can get the checker thing as early as I was in the game at the time & saw it was a 19 so I was able to make it perfect) Bittybolt, it was only level 8 so I took the time to level it up to 20 to match the rest of my party. I hadn't even done the power plant stuff yet at that point. I have to say, I was pretty much out of money. I had something with basically this game's version of pickup so I was able to collect up a few things that I sold but all that grinding left me with a little less than 200 gold in my pocket & then I realized I hadn't grabbed the rewards for the leveling thing which was a major facepalm moment & that helped me out so much, I'm not longer struggling with money or items. I did get into the habit of using coin snatch when in trainer battles because my Digmow was over leveled since it got the most training at this part of the game so it didn't hurt much to sit there & use coin snatch a couple times. I just made it to Pawbury in the game, going slow because I'm taking the time to hunt for 19s & 20s & doing the thing to reset to make them perfect. Most of the main members of my team are in their 30's now & I think my level is like 30 or 31, I know since I caught so many potents, I was claiming the 20XP a lot for that plus I did a lot of grinding so got the rewards for battles won. This is a game where I'm greatly enjoying taking my time like I'm still not far in it & I have around 20 hours invested already.
Not spoiling too much but when playing the demo recently I got an item quite a ways in that lets you do that but only to the Coromon you've caught. In battle like Gym Leader Ed said its by colour scheme and plus it will say Potent or Perfect on the name/Hp bar too hope that helps.
Before enter They will appear 'shiny' when they shown to you So you should save before enter Look at them If you don't find 'shiny' then just reset Potent is easier to get
You may still be going through the game at this point, but if you have time or info on PvP, can you let us know? Specifically, what happens with PvP when you are doing randomizers and stuff? Your Coromon could have completely different move pools if you randomly evolve into other Coromon, or randomize the movepools, etc. Could you use those in PvP? Seems like it would be crazy to fight without any grounded understanding of what your opponent could have for moves. Also, are there healing moves like in Pokemon to prolong matches and play defensively? There are no immunities or dual typing's AFAIK, so no 4x weaknesses/resistances, and a move will always do damage, sans missing of course. How is this translating into competitive potential? Anything else we should know for PvP?

And this video makes me wonder what's taking game freak so long... Is it the small amount of time between games? Is it because the TPC is tyrannical? I honestly want to know why they won't take notes on games like this, at least in terms of the breadth of options they have. More useful options to tweak, more accessibility for anyone wanting to just enjoy a game...

They said they were working as fast as possible but, honestly, considering the level of let down from the gaming industry as of late I will not wait long before I just decide not to pick it up. I know it's cold and I do appreciate the transparency however I've heard this before and it usually ends badly and not without a long wait.
I'd rather them release a good game late then release a bad game early, and I think you'd be missing out if the only reason you don't get it is because it took too long.

For me its very hard to determine if one is potent, as the colors are very similar in my eyes and i dont have references for the colors..
