I have the same feelings regarding purchasing the latest and greatest but!! Other than the cost which was #1 big reason but, most importantly I started 6 months ago I’ve been creating my own materials. I’ve learned to age my kits my personal French documents, my really great post cards from 1800 Using water spraying with teas, avocado, berries, vegetables, nuts you name it. You had done a video using tracing papers and the like !! I’ve been using the cheapest copy paper it tears beautifully!!! Then glue to heavier pieces I have a large box of kept aside. I use chalks instead of inks they come in 100 colors and work lovely!! Loving all of these techniques Tracy! Oh I must remember to say, my dear mum in law will celebrate her 107 birthday tomorrow in heaven.. I have all of her photos from w she was born allllll the way until she passed away at 87 years old I use them ALL !! And again I use photo paper if need to get a clearer pic by playing a bit w it on my program I use. So PHOTOS !!!! They are free family friends neighbors ask !! There are literally thousands !! Thank you again friend for all you did in these two tutorials ! It’s so great to be back !!
Tracie: very creative work. Enjoyed the process. Additionally, I agreed about what you said about the Tim Holtz’s products. Not everyone can afford to buy his products, although they are good. This is the first time I’ve heard someone address this topic. Money is tight for most people, with the state of the world and with Christmas right around the corner. You said it the way it is, and I, for one, appreciate it. Talented and smart! Carol from California, USA
Thank you so much Tracie, I really really enjoyed watching you create with these stunning and gorgeous ephemera kit, as I’ve just brought this kit....and it’s lovely to see how you are creating with it. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I love this kit. I am so glad you added the bugs to it. I don’t have any bug images and I do love when you include them in your work. I too cannot afford to buy all the current and wonderful products out there. I do use a lot of junk mail, magazine, etc images. But you really made yours extra special by gluing them to the book board and sanding. Great idea. Thanks for sharing your creations in digital format.
Love the new ephemera kit 😍 I can't afford the Tim Holtz stuff so this a great option for me, thanks for all your hard work in putting together such awesome digital kits 😘 And I'm loving how the booklet is looking so far, roll on part 3😃 xxx
Love it all tracie your layering is so beautiful. I absolutely love the look of the satin photo paper you used on your ephemera tracie. Tfs xx cant wait to see more.
Hi Tracy, thank you for sharing your opinion. Your right this time of year is hard. The disposable income is not there. I for one, have a hard time being on a pension it is even less. The shipping to Canada is a killer, sometimes the shipping cost more than the product itself. Enjoying this tab journal, Your work is so amazing. I have a hard time keeping up with all the beautiful things you and others are making. LOL, need to stop watching you all....Ok I will let myself out. HAHAHA, seriously though, I am going to use up my book boards for pieces like you shown. I have also done a reverse imagine onto a book board. That is cool. I may do a video on that one soon. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all. Your work is inspiring. XX Brenda
I would love to buy buy buy, but even if I could I probably wouldn’t! Its so easy to get carried away :-D I LOVE TH stuff I really do, but I also love to print when I need it! X
I love this journal and I am working along with you. The new kit is an awesome idea. I live in the states and I can't get the new stuff either. I ordered it 2 months ago and they haven't sent it yet.
like the idea for dimensional pieces. Thank you for your video - I will try this for myself, actually thinking to take it on holiday to keep notes and ephemera in, before I transfer it to my permanent travel notebook.
I can't afford to buy digitals myself. I save item that I don't need and use them in other projects. I found a lot of stuff that I had when I was making greeting cards . They come in handy. Thanks for sharing this and for your inspiration.
Just a thought- right now most Esty shops are holding a Black Friday sale- find a sort of “plain” kit that you like- something you can use over and over - for a dollar or two you get something that you’d always have. Digitals can also be sized up and down as well as altered in Canva (made more transparent, made different colors via layering a “filter” over it, etc.) Sometimes an unlimited-use digital is more economical than a exhaustible papers pack. 🤷🏻♀️👍🏼😎
it's always a money issue and thank you for bringing this subject up, we all think just as you...we would all love to keep buying Tim's stuff but....money is getting tighter... so thank you for not letting me think I am less than because I can't keep buying his stuff.
No hun, its is very tight here and I am doing whatever I can to support our family as well as saving money for everyone! We have to stick together and get through this terrible time! Thank you for watching x
Tracie, can you provide a link to the satin Epson paper you mentioned? I loved the look of the ephemera that you printed on it and want to give it a try IF I can find it? I feel like I'm a bit behind because I just saw this series of videos and had been watching your tag book videos. Then I remind myself that it doesn't matter when I find your videos. They make me happy and inspire me whenever I see them. You truly are a treasure to this community. 🥰
I would have liked to see the digital kit slowed down a little more. It went by way too fast! lol... Love everything on this project - and am making my own miniature version inspired by Suzie!
Hello Tracie. I really like your créations, and this accordion book is just beautiful! :) I don't speak english (google translation!) May I ask you how you get the slightly glossy finish on your chipboards ? Thank you for sharing your talent and tips !!!! :) :) :) Vous êtes très inspirante :)
Hello I am new to crafting and to your channel. May I ask why you use photo paper to print your digitals? Does it give a better quality of print than using copy paper? Or is it that it makes it more equivalent to the Tim Holtz products? Maybe both? I am learning so much and being new to crafting I literally have had to stock my supples starting with gluec scissors, and paper. LOL! Second hand stores have been my life saver!
Please tell me you have commercial use licenses for the stuff you took from other kits and altered and now are selling? Or they you kits you are reintroducing/altering?

The satin I use is not Epson, it never seems to be in stock. I have used Jesspos and currently using Marrutt x Satin/Oyster finish x

Hi Mado I think Tracie has used glossy photo paper. I use this type of photo paper on my inkjet printer and it works well.
I used a satin finish photographic paper xx
