So so love this idea-both the file folder Friday AND this particular project. I’ve been feeling not so crafty lately and this is the perfect solution to still feeling productive and getting a bunch ready to give happy mail in. That always lifts my spirits. You rock, my friend! ❤️
Thank you so much Tracie, I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and stunning little folders and pockets too. Great idea 💡 too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Tracie, I am excited for this series twice a month. What a great way to use file folders. I have so many file folders just taking up space. You've given me some great ideas 💡 As always TFS 💜🦋
I love these! I tuck them in wherever I can. I made my mom an altered board book for Mother’s Day about 18 years ago. I decorated each page with photos of my mom and I. I glued several pages in the back so it was thick and hollowed out a recess and put one of these with 15 pockets in the back. Each tag inside has mother and child artwork. On the reverse side I wrote specific memories I had of my mom through the years. It came out so beautiful! She cried when I gave it to her… well… we both cried. She says it’s her favorite Mother’s Day gift ever. These are so fun to hide or tuck in a journal with little surprises inside! I love how yours came out! Thanks for the inspiration. I hope your technical issues have been sorted!
Tracie you are great! Loved these items. Like to send happy mail with fun things to my stamping girlfriends and this is just perfect!!! Thanks so much.
Oh I love these! Think I’ll make some today! Hopefully I get all those little details right! Lol. Thanks for showing your mishaps. Those are things I would absolutely be guilty of doing!😂😂
Thank you for showing us what not do! These were great makes! I have seen these little pouches used in You Tube videos but have not tried to make one. Think I will now! Looking forward to this new bi weekly, or so series Have a peaceful weekend Tracie
Hi Tracie!!! These are great!!! Just a couple of ideas for the ones you said you made mistakes with. The one with the envelopes showing, you can put lace on both ends of the the front. (Both ends to balance the front) Then you can still use it for Happy-mail or whatever you were planning to use it for.. And the other one you can use velcro for the closure. Just cover your error with a paper cluster or a lacey cluster. I really enjoy your laugh! We all need to laugh more! Thanks you for sharing. Looking forward as you continue this series.
These are fabulous Tracie, love the green file folders! Liz the paper project made some with book pages for the envelope pockets…a great way to use up all our book pages! TFS 😊😍😊
I loved all of them, even your bobo’s were great! We all have them… lol! 😀 no worries! So fun, I make them all the time but I adore your green folders! I just bought some brown ones I might have a play with. Thanks for the inspiration! 🌸😊🌸
These turned out great, I can totally understand how I would mess these up, there’s several little twists and turns making these. Thx for sharing this so hopefully we can do it right. Lol maybe
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for showing your mistakes! Newbies like myself get sooooo frustrated because we make the same mistakes and I love knowing that pros do it also!
These are super cute Tracie, great ideas for keeping ephemera in. did laugh with you about your bloopers, and its good you show us that you mess up as well and its not the end of the world. xxx
Fabulous!!! I have an awesome closure, I think I may have learned from Wendy? not sure...though. I take an pretty die cut shape, appropriate size to fit on back of project....I put to slots in it...thread fabric, usually ribbon, up thru right opening, down thru left...leave tails long enough to come around on each side and tie in a bow, and glue the die cut ahnd ribbon under it, into place and I can untie, and tie with ease and not have it in the way while using, yet not getting lost, cause it's always attached. sorry so long, but I have no idea how to put a short video of me doing it out there...hahahah... xoxoxoxo
On that last, glue a charm or button on your circle and run elastic around it and pull ends through eyelet and knot to hold. Your work is lovely and had u not pointed out your “errors,” I would never have known. TFS.
Oh, these are delightful and a very quick project. I don’t have file folders but I save junk mail that is heavy weight that I think would work great for a smaller version. I am so sorry you had such a bummer day, but this video was great!! Such a treat when I saw you had a video up. Enjoy your weekend.
