I discovered Baja while a studying at UC Berkeley in the late seventies. I fell in love with Baja sight unseen.
Nine years later I finally made my way down there. What an amazing place it is! Having read the Log, and other books about Baja, make the place all the grander in my eyes.
It is a happy feeling to know the Flyer is out there somewhere, and that it will, some day soon, be back in the Sea of Cortez. Thanks for telling this amazing story! 🙂
Good to see Pete from Sampson boat Tally Ho
This was before Pete joined the Tally Ho team. Pete did a lot of the heavy lifting pieces on the Western Flyer. Worth going back and watching the process. Talented and skilled man.
@@cyclingbutterbean Thanks for the info. He has a very determined work ethic. Wonder where he is now?
@@dave_from_mo He is still up in Port Townsend working his own gig. He did some work on the Argonaut II that has been up North with Leo and the gang.
@@cyclingbutterbean thanks
