My heart breaks watching this routine coz in a few months her 2012 Olympic dreams will be crushed 😭 so talented. Happy she never gave up and finishes her gymnastics career with a NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP RING ❤️
She could have put Canada on the podium!!! It is the worst part of it all, but at least she is flourishing in college at UCLA!! Also listen to this with headphones on because the ovation from the crowd at the end can't be fully enjoyed unless wearing them.
Josh ~ l believe she WOULD have if it weren't for the disintegrated knee! She's ABSOLUTELY on _my_ podium! l'm a Canadian too, and l'm just _BONKERS_ for her!!!!! xD
I think she would've taken a medal in the all around too. She was training a double yurchenko and got a 14.966 average during international competition, an average of 14.525 on bars, an average of 15.266 on beam and 14.5 on floor. She would've beaten aliya and Ali with their mess ups easily. If she wouldn't have medaled, she would've at less ten been in the top 6.
This made me realize how much I love college gymnastics. She seemed so much happier during her routines when she was competing for UCLA. I know, lower pressure and whatnot. But college gymnastics seems a lot more fun.
I agree, and she would've won a medal, easily! Insane difficulty and originality...I like the Chinese beam routines, but they sometimes do the same skills. This routine wins the gold medal in my eyes.
I was thinking that too, especially with the all-around. She has the same vault as Aliya, a higher bars score that Aly, so if she was consistent on the beam (the other two made mistakes) and floor, she just might have.
strange to think jordyn, Kyla, and Katelyn were all there too and they were all involved with the ncaa win in 2018 with peng gymnastics is truely a small world
If she had not injured herself, she could've won three bronze metals. In the all around here, she had a score of 59.966 which was higher than Aliya mustafina in the olympics. On beam, she scores higher than aly, and on floor, if she just had a little upgrade, she could beat Aliyas 14.95. I get that they are underscored/overscored in the us but still. She would challenge
I love that switch leap to aerial, but you're soo right. Can you imagine the D score of this routine if she does some valued connections??? Her D score would be outrageous. The Canadians have the big tricks but they need a code master to boost that D score. Heck, they just need to copy the combos the top athletes are doing.
man i hope she wins an olympic medal on beam. these days it all about throwing as many random skills as u can, but she has style and originality. i love it
I am LOVING watching the rise of underdog nations like Canada in Gymnastics these days. It's no longer Soviet vs China vs Romania vs USA. I bet by Rio 2016 we will see the UK & Canada putting pressure on the top nations big time...if not for Gold just yet.. then Bronze for sure! I'll be delighted to see it - not because the usual top nations are not amazing teams, but just because I LOVE to see the sport of Gymnastics spread like wildfire ... it's the BEST SPORT EVER!!
She and Katelyn Ohashi both would have been amazing Olympians if it hadn't been for injuries and health problems. She went to Olympics as a supporter with her torn ACL when she would have. been one of the stars on the team.
I find the dance portions of the routines show each gymnasts personality. Also when I compete the dance before a skill is more of a breather so I am prepared and confident without having to stand there for a minute to breathe. But I agree if they are the in danger of going overtime then they (the choreographer, gymnast and coach) should cut a little of the dance in each section.
The reason that Kyla didn't get a high enough score to get into the finals was because she broke a connection. Aly raisman barely beat her for the finals anyways. If Christine had made the final, I'm almost positive that she could have beat sky's score of 15.066 for the bronze.
Peng Peng Lee is the best female gymnast. She had to get a full knee ligament transplant, miss two years of compatition at UCLA,and came back better than ever.God Bless Peng Peng Lee.I will always admire you for your sensational return to gymnastics,,and that you never gave up. Michael D.Silverman from New Jersey. P.S.What will UCLA do without Peng Peng Lee?
That spin combo. Now that is a combo
My heart breaks watching this routine coz in a few months her 2012 Olympic dreams will be crushed 😭 so talented. Happy she never gave up and finishes her gymnastics career with a NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP RING ❤️
Everything about this routine is so special, the mount, the variety of skills, the style, even the salute. love her
Love the pose before she even gets on the beam!
Right!!! That is a woman knowing that she is gunna hit this routine like she does every single day!!! It is all in the eyes I think.
she tumbles on beam with such ease
PROUD PENGUIN HERE
so heartbreaking she injured right before London! I'm sure she would've helped team Canada!
She is so aggressive- love watching her compete!
She could have put Canada on the podium!!! It is the worst part of it all, but at least she is flourishing in college at UCLA!! Also listen to this with headphones on because the ovation from the crowd at the end can't be fully enjoyed unless wearing them.
Josh White that crowd at the end with my earphones....
Josh ~ l believe she WOULD have if it weren't for the disintegrated knee! She's ABSOLUTELY on _my_ podium! l'm a Canadian too, and l'm just _BONKERS_ for her!!!!! xD
Definitely could’ve taken Raisman’s Beam bronze
I think she would've taken a medal in the all around too. Probably my favorite beam routine ever
Seriously? You haven't seen the Chinese on beam then
Jade Eliot same
@@randomvintagefilm273 what makes this worse than the Chinese? This has the same stunning qualities.
I love her mount, I wish Simone would have that mount. So badass on beam LOL
Gracie C. This is why peng should go to the Olympics
ChelleMentu ...she did
She got injured at Canadian Olympic Trials and was named an honorary captain. She wasn't on the competition team.
I love her mount, this routine is so original. :-)
I adore Peng-Peng and this routine:) I also love how she salutes in the begining
If she didn't get injured, qualified for the olympics, qualified for beam finals, and then hit her routine, she would have gotten bronze!
tacojuice123 she couldve gotten even silver with a clean routine , execution scores where so lean in london and she had insane difficulty
Silver of Gold
this is an amazing routine. I heard she retired :( She deserves a world medal!
I absolutely love this gymnast and this routine. So sad she got injured before London :/
This made me realize how much I love college gymnastics. She seemed so much happier during her routines when she was competing for UCLA. I know, lower pressure and whatnot. But college gymnastics seems a lot more fun.
Amazing!! She has been so consistent this year.
she has a wonderfull variety and has a special way of doing it!!
This was such a good routine!!! :0
WHY DO I LOVE HER TURNS SO MUCH
Great routine, and 15.300 is a world class score, good for her
You've improved so much Peng Peng. We look forward to seeing you at the Olympics!
I want to be Christine peng peng Lee !!!!
WOW!!!! Thanks for being from _CANADA_ Peng!!! REALLY! REALLY! _REALLY_ GREAT Gymnast INDEEEEEEEED! xD
Very fun to watch definitely!
i love her beam ..fantastic! *_*
She's probably the most aggressive gymnast I've ever seen on beam. Just fearlessly goes into each skill.
Wow this is the best I've seen her beam!
Amazing. She just gets better and better!
LOVE HER!
Great job!
AMAZING
love her twists
I agree, and she would've won a medal, easily! Insane difficulty and originality...I like the Chinese beam routines, but they sometimes do the same skills. This routine wins the gold medal in my eyes.
Wespin87 I am super late but she is from Canada
I was thinking that too, especially with the all-around. She has the same vault as Aliya, a higher bars score that Aly, so if she was consistent on the beam (the other two made mistakes) and floor, she just might have.
strange to think jordyn, Kyla, and Katelyn were all there too and they were all involved with the ncaa win in 2018 with peng gymnastics is truely a small world
THAT MOUNT.
OMFG QUEEN

This was the best.
that routine was olympic event final worthy! she actually would have gotten a bronze medal at the olympics if she was there and got that score!
I
My best friend wants to do flairs like that! :D Nice routine!
This is STELLAR! Too bad she went overtime.
I love that switch leap to aerial, but you're soo right. Can you imagine the D score of this routine if she does some valued connections??? Her D score would be outrageous. how original and stylish!
you don't see too many gymnasts with style on beam anymore, but good for her, she's has it
How old is she? I love her routine and her poise, simply outstanding.
man i hope she wins an olympic medal on beam. these days it all about throwing as many random skills as u can, but she has style and originality. i love it

getnasty08 you were right!
Very very nice! Way to go Peng Peng!!
Her mount was awesome

Omg flares!
I can't believe she didnt make it to London!
Too bad:(
She is WILD
I think she could’ve had maybe a shot at Winning the Allaround in london
And Aliya got a 14.333 and qualified for the Olympic final. If Christine was healthy she could have made the final
proof that you can be aggressive and gorgeous at the same time!!!
waouh !
Yeah, she tore her ACL (?) during a vault training.
I’ve never understood why they don’t just cut some of the arm waving bullshit out if they are near overtime
Jay Petrova they get deducted if the routine is rushed or its not fluid
@@kevinsam3078 or for lack of complex coreography
Ya and also they would risk the extra tenth of deduction if they are feeling rushing would cause them to fall or injure themselves
In general I could do with less of the weird extra choreography.

that front is so high!
such an amazing mount. much like men's pommel horse
This routine is so badass
💚
Beautiful !!
Just curious ...
Did her dismount not count since she was still on the beam when the bell rang twice ?
someone needs to show aly how the tour jete is done properly!
But the double bell was heard. Meaning she did go overtime.
not quite perfect a little shaky after landing some moves at times but extremely well performed 15.9-16.1 in my opinion
yes, she won't be in London :(
The reason that Kyla didn't get a high enough score to get into the finals was because she broke a connection. Aly raisman barely beat her for the finals anyways. If Christine had made the final, I'm almost positive that she could have beat sky's score of 15.066 for the bronze.
This girl is strong and as a lot of talent! That is some mad skills there.
what place did she get for this routine?
she would have won had she not gone overtime. What a stellar routine.
She is 19.
She was pretty clean and had difficulty. What was her D score?
I think Kyla was overscored.
That darn ACL injury
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😎
her mount was AH MA ZING.
how many points are taken off for being overtime?
0.3 i think
agressive!
Wooooo! UCLA!
WHY did she get injured? She could've at least made the finals in London, if not won a medal!

Did she get a deduction for being too long? (Overtime)
yes

She didn't make the Olympics... she injured her knee. :(
who cares about jordyn or vika, gimme some peng peng! hope she upgrades her vault soon!!!
That Arabian 😍👌🏻
Meg Beth She didn’t make any Arabian, I’m confused 😐
