Military Sabre Sparring - Joao Machado (Corvo e Espada) vs Rui Ferreira (Espada Negra)

In the beginning of september we had a visit from our friends (and former students) from the Lisbon based club Corvo e Espada.
Now fencing under the banner of their newly formed club, it's always a welcome visit and always fun to have a chance to spar with them, making this a very special occasion as we strive to establish bonds between other Portuguese clubs, new or old.
This was the final bout at the end of a lengthy session between one of Corvo e Espada's founder João Machado and our instructor Rui. This also means we'll still have a few more bouts to share in the coming days.

I love how consistent and fluid the left fencers actions are, must take many years of training to get to this level. Though he could do better with distance control?
