My biggest gripe of the game would have to be the repetitive dungeon music. It's literally the same theme for every single dungeon. There isn't a whole lot of variety in the music department.
They do take a good amount of heat for sure, but I think they have made some neat games even if not all of the assets are always original from one another.
@@cloud67899 well, I've played a lot of different games between then and now. I kind of forget the game plot, but I remember I liked it. I'm playing another Kemco game, Leige Dragon. Just downloaded it the other day.
Lovely character art + classic JRPG = tempting. . . How is the music in the game though? And can you toggle volume on stuff like menu sound effects, cause they seemed a bit loud in that bit of play?
The music isn't bad! Pretty standard JRPG stuff with epic overworld tracks, good battle themes and of course peaceful town selections. As for the volume controls they absolutely can be adjusted in the options menu.
Loving the kemco games, always have been. Quite afew have been bought but quite afew remain that I haven't bought. Its nice to keep having a large pool of JRPG's to play that don't overly drag on and I love the artstyle of Kemco games its my favorite. Feels like playing SNES and Gameboy Advance titles again. The prices on the games are great for about $15 or so on release day.
Very interested in this since I enjoy Kemco games. Are the towns different in this one? (Like different styles and assets?) I don't like when they use the same style for most of them 😞
@@IDreamofIndie gonna pre-ordered right away on Switch. It reminds me of Tales of Xillia with the "High Spirit inside a female body" situation. Cool review!
@@IDreamofIndie ok now that I'm playing Ruinverse. It isn't quite the same as the Asdivine Hearts battle system but there are some similarities. The graphics appear to be better in Ruinverse but graphics don't make a game. Luckily, this is shaping up to be pretty good! Asdivine was a little less complicated in terms of the menu and options but you get it after a while. The whole "2 souls" living in the one body seems a little transgenderish, and I didn't care for it but then you realize it's not like that luckily. Overall this is a good game!
I always hate kemco games. They look really good at first, but there's always something that lets you know how cheap it is whether it's the walking speed being ridiculously faster than the movement animation or the fact that they kind of Bobble about during battles like it's some kind of cheap flash game. I wish they would just stick with the style and go for something that across the board resembles something ripped right out of the SNES era. It would be so much better
Nonthing weird about liking a game with good looking graphics and artsyle lol. The graphics in this game are really nice. Its like saying you weird for liking a person for being attractive lol.
@@termitesc.aardwolf3644 No. None like this anyway. Only ones that come to mind are Earthbound. Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG. None of which had blind encounters. I hate being attacked by enemies that I can't see.

It's in my backlog. I'M a proud Kemco fanatic!

Scaling difficulty and teleporting options are always good options in JRPGs. This look like something I'll pick up on sale.
It's nice! Not having all the time that I used to I really appreciate when they add options such as these.
Kemco is a guilty pleasure of mine. I have most of their games downloaded and they are great games with charming stories and excellent combat.

@@IDreamofIndie Nailed it! Plus they’re cheap downloads and have quality of life features to make grinding and progression a breeze.
I am loving this game! What a great turn based RPG, especially for the price. Got it on sale in the eshop, and putting a lot of time into it.
That's great to hear glad you are enjoying :)
1 year later how do you feel about it now?

This guy sounds like a radio DJ explaining this game.
I have a bit of a background in broadcast so makes sense!
Thanks for the review! I actually have enjoyed the KEMCO games I have played so I will likely give it a try.
That's awesome Strick Nine! I've been getting into KEMCO more recently too!
Yes, i like them myself. Im going to grab this one. Did you get it?
@@joeb2588 Yes I did and I'm enjoying it. :)

Yeah I mean you can differentiate each town from one another but the game certainly does have reused assets throughout. Ya know, typical budget stuff.
@@IDreamofIndie thank u for the quick reply! As long as is not exactly the same one and same colour (like in the early games), I'm happy with that
Yeah no problem! I don't think you'll have any issues with the towns honestly.

Thanks Del Rey hope that you enjoy the game! Nice having you here on the channel.
This looks decent enough. I might just have to pick it up when it’s on a sale. Thanks for the review.
Yeah no problem FlowerAngelRave! Take advantage of that pre-order discount up to March 4th if you are interested!
I just got it. I think it's great. This game, Asdivine Hearts, and Legends of Tetrachs are good Kemco games.
Old school vibes hell ya
This looks like they used the same combat formula and town and land layout as Asdivine Hearts. I just finished that game and highly recommend it.
Thank you for that recommendation!

It is actually pretty good! Nice little hidden 💎
I played this on android its fun game. Pre ordered it on switch
Neat! You wouldn't really know it was on mobile playing the Switch version. Now you get to enjoy it again.
Can you tell me the better options out there that you mentioned? Thanks
For JRPG? Wow their are ALOT haha. Ara Fell is a great one to check out if you have yet to do so!

Call me weird, but I actually love these graphics. Gameplay looks fun too, I'll definitely buy this
Good review!
Yeah they aren't all that bad! Really glad you enjoyed the review :)
The graphics are really clean and the game is fun. I'm really enjoying it.
Have to agree. The animation's in the game caught my eye... I just wonder is there any level of customization

I stopped at "random encounters". Ugh! I was actually considering buying the physical version of this from Limited Run Games until I heard that.
Totally fair! Still appreciate you watching!
I doubt you grew up with many 90s RPGs.
