The music level is perfect. I didn't notice its being too loud. Thanks for talking and not having a dead silent video. I work with adults with developmental disabilities. I find your videos very relaxing after and before work ( I work second shift)
That’s so lovely to hear 🥰❤️ I actually also work within disability services, and love to relax with colouring afterwards (and occasionally with my clients too). I struggle with watching very silent videos too, so that’s why I like to do some talking, and explain my thinking behind certain things I’m doing. So I’m very glad you like that 😃 Thank you so much for watching 🌸
Thank you so much. Yes, the advantage with Inktense is the ability to layer them, so once you learn to ignore and not be disheartened by that ugly stage, it gets a bit easier. Thank you so much for watching 💖💖
Thank you so much for this video!! I have had the Inktense pencils for a long time and I still struggle with them. Your tips and step by step video is MUCH appreciated!!❤❤
Thank you for this video, it's the best Inktense video I've seen on YT! On some types of paper Inktense tends to be blotchy and pencil marks are very hard to blend out, especially in the darker colors. For this reason, lately I have been activating it from the tip of the pencil with a wet brush and painting it onto paper without first drawig it on, and as you mentioned this saves time as you don't have to draw it on and then activate it with a wet brush. So when my Inktense pencils are used up, I am going to buy the blocks, as they give you much more ink for little more money.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. Yes, Inktense will definitely react differently on different paper. There is a big difference between the green/yellow areas on this page vs the blue/purple areas when it comes to that blotchiness, and using the sandpaper block or the water on the tip definitely helps with that.
Thank you for using Derwent Inktense. I have the 72 set, but haven’t used them much since I don’t really know how to use them. I would like to see more with them.
Omg! Please please do some more Inktense tutorials! This was such a fun tutorial! I have never done watercolors so this was my first time and by watching how you did it helped out so much on how much water to use and to remember to wipe off excess water was a BIG HELP so yes please do more I have the whole set of Inktense that I bought on a whim. Lol so two thumbs up on this one 👍👍
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed the Inktense video. I do have a few more available, but will definitely do more in the future. Thank you so much for watching 💖
Thank you and I enjoy your color-alongs. For me, Inktense is best for tackling those teeny-tiny areas in the background and I won't have colour seepage to the opposite page (besides the unavoidable buckling) then. However, same with using the beloved Neocolor 2, for large areas and using bigger brushes, colours do seep through. The paper in Rita Berman books, though decent, is not that water medium friendly. Also, I think Neocolor 2 is more "forgiving" than Inktense. But, like most, I like the vibrancy of Inktense and they are indeed unique.
Thank you so much. Yes, I agree. Neocolor II is definitely more forgiving. I’ve only got a few open stock colours of those, so tend to use Inktense when I need a wide range of colours. Thank you so much for watching 💖 I really appreciate you being here.
I get so much from your videos. Especially using the Inktense Pencils. I haven't been using them much. But with your tutorials I'm going to try using them more. I really want to try and aurora borealis background using them . Thanks for all your beautiful pages you share and instruct in ! The lower music is better, it could go a bit lower. I turn the 🎶 music down and then turn the volume up and back up the video a smidge when you're talking.
Thank you so much for your kind comment and feedback about the music. I’m glad to hear it was better this time around. I love that you got inspired to use your Inktense pencils more. I hope you have fun with them 😊💖
Nice job on the background. I don't own any watercolor pencils, but it helps me decide if I should venture into that area. It will be interesting to see how the water effects the paper.
Water soluble mediums are great, but there are many out there. The Inktense pencils are actually ink, so will dry permanent in most cases, but it makes for some cool effects when layering, and they are incredibly vibrant. I also have some videos with my Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils, and they are also wonderful to work with, and a bit more forgiving in that you can reactivate the pigment again if needed. Hope that helps a little. Thank you so much for watching 💖
I will definitely be doing this tutorial very soon. I haven't used my inktense in awhile. I also got some gesso arriving today so that I can prepare the paper a little. Never done it before so fingers crossed!
Hi Marit, when you mentioned that you got a request to do this page, I assumed you meant me 😊. However this was not the coloring page I requested. But anyway still great coloring. I love to watch your videos. I will text you on IG regarding the scene from the coloring page I requested. Thanks. Have a great day.
It’s the same page. It’s a double page spread, and the part Rita posted on her Instagram is the right hand side of this one, so I’ll get to that in part two 😊
Oh yeah, Marit, you are absolutely right, I didn't see the right side. This book is one of my favourite. I am going to buy it from book depository. So cutesy book and saw so many beautiful artwork from this book. I think there is another coloring page from this book with a girl and cat looking out the window or sitting outside the window on the chimneys or something like that. I think is from this book. That is a suggestion for you too. Ha ha. Hope you don't mind that I got 2 requests 😀 because I just love your coloring, the background music and the real time speed. cheers
@@chenkeith7272 All good. Rita only showed such a small part of that page, so it’s easy to miss. Yes, the cat shows up in a lot of Rita’s pictures. It’s so cute.
I could not find the picture of the girl and the cat looking out the window. It might not be a Rita Berman coloring book but I have took few screenshots of some of Rita berman artwork which I felt is absolutely gorgeousw. Once I find the pic I will PM you on IG together with those screenshots. I also bought some fairy houses coloring pages from Etsy. If you are interested to color I can send the pdf to you compliments from me. Those fairy houses are so enchanting. They even have cupcake houses too which was adorable.
Hi Marit, I sent few images to you for suggestion of coloring page that I hope to see in your upcoming videos. They are lovely, as for the girl with the cat looking out the window, I guess it wasn't Rita Berman's book but a coloring book by Daria Song. Every picture in it are so enchanting. I also sent you the picture of the coloring book. Cheers

Thank you so much! I love Rita’s whimsical style, and it’s been fun trying my a Inktense on them. I really appreciate you watching 💖💖
Very pretty. I love my Inktense but find them patchy sometimes. Watching you has given me some tips. Thanks!
