Lori Haynes I hate trump, he's so old and racist. I have a lot of black friends, and there is not one member in my family that is racist. At least he won't be there when I have kids..
I should probably just quit The 5th Wave series because of all the bad things I've heard about it, especially in regards to The Infinite Sea, but I'm curious to know how it all ends, so it'll remain on my TBR for now.
It is actually quite good despite some peoples reveiws... There are a few issues with the character names but the last book is really good and ends the series well... I would recommend reading it!
I agree with you on the 5th Wave, it took me so long to read it and when I finished I had to desire to continue on with the second book at the disappointment of my best friend.
I LOVE the Half Bad trilogy (even though it had a horrible ending that ripped my heart out and burned it and I will never ever get over it. It was worse than Allegiant.)
Your experience with the 5th Wave (and the sequel) was exactly what I went through! I thought I was the only one-- I almost thought it was sacrilegious to feel that way :P
I literally always finish a series, even if I'm not enjoying it because I want it to have a chance, but I seriously could barely even get through the first book, so I just finished that one and stopped
You're very influential because I keep getting books you've suggested (such as Where Things Come Back; I would have gotten Miss Peregrine's but I already owned it), but also my TBR list is becoming ridiculous 😂😂
I don't think I'm going to continue the Shades of Magic series. I read A Darker Shade of Magic and although I thought it was interesting and creative, I just didn't connect to the characters. I'd set the book down and never feel like picking it up. Nothing kept me coming back, like I didn't really care what the outcome would be because I didn't feel for the characters. Although I did like Rhy because his personality was humorous. His character was the only one I was interested in knowing more about.
The 5th Wave is on my DNF shelf! I couldn't get through the first book never mind the series! My heart dropped when you dropped the book, what if a page tore :O
What about the remnant chronicles? I saw a video of you buying the first book to the series and I haven’t seen it anywhere since 🤣🤣 whatsoever love ur channel keep up the great workie!
I absolutely cannot get through the Magnus chase books I've been trying to read it for a whole month but I cannot read it. Which is weird cause I love all Percy Jackson books but oh well
Ai Nadine G. Agius Please try again! Its sooo good, I love it even more than PJO (I know that sounds crazy). But that's okay if you really can't get through it :-) it's really funny and has a great storyline and characters, especially in the second book
😱😱😱. No. 😭 I love the Magnus Chase series. Like someone said already, even more than PJO. But then again I'm the opposite. I cant really get into the Apollo books. Although I read the first one and after a while I really liked it, I started reading the second one and it took me so long to get through the first few pages but I haven't read more than that. I'll try again when I'm in the mood. Cuz sometimes that has a lot to do with it.
Series I probably won't finish: Red Queen -- the first book had a lot of tropes and was just kind of meh for me 5th Wave -- all the reasons in the video Dark Artifices -- I've read all of the books in this world hoping to like TMI and TDA as much as TID, but I just can't get into them
I totally agree with your comment about the 5th wave, it was so hard for me to get through especially the last 100 pages. I also didn't like how the author changed perspective without indicating who's perspective it was. I'd be reading a chapter thinking it was Cassie and it was a completely different person.
I completely agree with you about the Jackaby book. I bought the first one for the beautiful cover and I read the book and was left feeling underwhelmed by the book.
There are so many series I will never continue and most are pretty popular on booktube. But there are so many amazing other books out there that need some loving.
One series (or rather, duology) I'm not planning on continuing would be Alex London's Proxy series. I absolutely ADORED Proxy - it's one of my all-time favourite books, and even though the ending of it completely tore my soul to shreds, I recognize that it was completely necessary and a beautifully written ending. It was the best way to show just how much Knox had grown over the course of the book, but since he was my fav character, I actually have zero interest in the sequel.
Hi Jesse! One question: do you plan on continuing the Red Queen series? And have you read King's Cage yet? Btw the last book comes out next year. It's a quartet.
I was about to buy Half bad... Now I'm not anymore :') (tbh I was already worried about it not really leaving a lasting impression and you comforted my first idea...) Two series I never finished are the princess' diary because it was just so goddamn long and I had to wait between each book for their translated version, and the sisterhood of the traveling pants, because it was depressing as hell and the characters bored me to death...
I was shookt when I saw that The Lost Hero's not with the rest of the Heroes of Olympus Series. Jesse, I thought you're not going to finish the series. I low-key freaked out. 😂
You know what? i did the same with the fifth wave but then recently i wanted to read something with aliens and a bit of adventure and i just flew through the whole serie and I LOVED IT. don't gove up, give it a try 💪🏻💪🏻
I totally agree with the fifth wave books. I read all three within a couple weeks and was confused reading the last two. And it took me about three years after buying the fifth wave to actually get through it.
Half Bad series I really liked (they get better but are also heartbreaking so you’ve saved yourself pain). 5th Wave I’ll actually agree: I’ve read the first two and loved them and I own the third but have little desire to read it
I know a lot of booktubers who aren't finishing 5th Wave. Super sad. Really loved that one. Though I do think the first book was the best, so if you didn't like it that much you probably made a good call.
I completely agree with you about the fifth wave series. I understand why people like it but for me it took so long to get through the first book & I didn't really care to read the rest of the series.
Should I be reading? Probably
What am I doing? Watching Booktube......

I hate that these videos require disclaimers. People need to chill! I love these types of videos, give me the teeeeea
Even if I don't want to finish a series I feel like I still need to buy the rest of the series or I get really mad. Am I the only one? 😂😂😂
SkyeBright StarLight nope😂😂
me too..
I don’t do that but I feel like I always feel like I have to finish all series that I start. Anyone, anyone?
Emily Bunney same because I want closure I want to know what happens to the characters and I don’t have it in my heart to let them go
Elle Hadiprodjo then maybe your should search it up and spoil yourself?? Idk tho
No worries, Jesse. Even if you don't like the Half Bad trilogy (one of my faves) I still freaking love you to pieces.
aw! you're the sweetest! thanks for not hating me! XD
^w^ you're welcome. i couldn't hate you if i tried
Katy Song could anyone?
jessethereader I'm telling you this, there is NO way I can hate you lol. You're literally the best!
@@jessethereader Yeah even though I like the trilogy a lot and wish you liked it too how can I hate such a great fellow reader like you
You're not alone regarding The Fifth Wave. I used it to avoid insomnia because it had the power to make me fall asleep inmediately.... #SorryNotSorry
GOT EM
amiright.
But yeah, it all seriousness I remember trying to read it but just not physically wanting to read it.
That was a big ouch for that trilogy
I’ve added Jackaby to my tbr . . . Thanks!
Your bookshelf is so beautiful I'm in love😍
The moment when Jesse dropped the first book was so hilarious to me. Reminded of myself. I'm such a disaster.
we can be disasters together
last time I was this early Obama was the president

Like trump better no offense
Lori Haynes I hate trump, he's so old and racist. I have a lot of black friends, and there is not one member in my family that is racist. At least he won't be there when I have kids..
john ko marvel Sounds like u swallow anything the media tells u.
Unfortunately, it was Obama who sent shock waves thru out America by attending a racist church.
I had a feeling 5th Wave would be on here!!
That awkward moment when your early and don't know what to say...
anaya browner ikr
jesse: *uploads a video at 4am in my country*
me: drops everything to watch the video
Jessie a good idea would be giving me all the books you don't like or don't wanna finish 😂😂 just a thought
I should probably just quit The 5th Wave series because of all the bad things I've heard about it, especially in regards to The Infinite Sea, but I'm curious to know how it all ends, so it'll remain on my TBR for now.

the "oh frik" was delightful!
aww the ad at the start about Warren Adler was so sweet.
YASS preach cuz the 5th wave series was not pulling on my heart strings enough and the action wasn't as enthralling especially in the Infinite Sea
Dropping everything the moment Jesse uploads
I love how your videos are quick and to the point
I'm so glad your fav book(series) is Ms.Perregrine's! I totally LOVE that series!
Omg when you said the 5th wave I was so relieved because I thought that everyone else absolutely loved that series
I love the 5th wave as a stand-alone
I LOVE the Half Bad trilogy (even though it had a horrible ending that ripped my heart out and burned it and I will never ever get over it. It was worse than Allegiant.)
JUST READ THE NAME OF THE WIND AND YOUR LIFE WILL BE CHANGED
it's on my list to read very soon!
jessethereader goodjob =D
Fantastic series, I really hope he finishes the third one eventually!
Sarah Churchill agree! My all time fave series 😁
I just want to be alive for when it gets finally released 😂
I saw the lost hero missing from your bookshelf and i was like jesse nooo the series is so good dont give up!!!!
It wasnt! Yay!
I was just watching a bunch of "books I'll never finish/read" videos and then you uploaded this omgg

Your reactions made me giggle so hard. GIGGLE!
The bookshelf view is changed. I am shooketh!
I see lost hero out of the bookshelf
Which means we have been blessed!!!

Literally I love watching Jessie's bookshelves grow! 😂
Jesse we need a bookshelf tour
I FEEL THE SAME ABOUT THE FIFTH WAVE IM SO GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE
The 5th Wave trilogy is not worth it.
Trust me. Its not. haha
eelsaysbooks Soooo not worth it 😫😅
I personally really liked it but ok
I literally always finish a series, even if I'm not enjoying it because I want it to have a chance, but I seriously could barely even get through the first book, so I just finished that one and stopped
@@cara3161 same!!
Jeehh waking up with Jesse!
Notifications squaaaad so many new videos so cool
Have you done a video on short story collection recommendations? If not, please do one
Tsk tsk gotta finish them series jesse
You're very influential because I keep getting books you've suggested (such as Where Things Come Back; I would have gotten Miss Peregrine's but I already owned it), but also my TBR list is becoming ridiculous 😂😂
"A real strug bug" is my new motto in life tbh
I don't think I'm going to continue the Shades of Magic series. I read A Darker Shade of Magic and although I thought it was interesting and creative, I just didn't connect to the characters. I was so worried because I was that the lost here wasn't on your book shelve I was like "buuuut Leo!!" So good
Hey Jesse
jesse please do a updated bookshelf tour
What about the remnant chronicles? I saw a video of you buying the first book to the series and I haven’t seen it anywhere since 🤣🤣 whatsoever love ur channel keep up the great workie!
Omg. I AGREE about The 5th Wave. Had/have no intention of reading more of it.
Ai Nadine G. Agius bro same I think I'm gonna do a book talk an that book cuz I'm diehard Percy and Apollo fan but I couldn't read Magnus
L&MReads I just felt like it was nearly the same as the Percy Jackson books!
I don't know I just couldn't get through the first book. I think I'm gonna try it again but idk it wasn't very addictive
😱😱😱. No. 😭 I love the Magnus Chase series. Like someone said already, even more than PJO. But then again I'm the opposite. I cant really get into the Apollo books. honestly RT at "we can have different bookish tastes" it's not personal it's just what people enjoy!!!
Series I probably won't finish:
Red Queen -- the first book had a lot of tropes and was just kind of meh for me
5th Wave -- all the reasons in the video
Dark Artifices -- I've read all of the books in this world hoping to like TMI and TDA as much as TID, but I just can't get into them
Another awesome video jesse!! So proud to have followed you since the beginning!! You've come so far :)) congrats
The Jackaby series will forever have some of the prettiest covers.
I'm having such a great time watching this video. You are so funny.
See, I tried to read the 5th wave, but I couldn't get through it!! you got further than me, Jesse!!
I totally agree about the 5th Wave series!

The 5th wave was on my TBR but, I've heard such bad things about it and my to-read list is long enough! Great video as per usual Jesseth!
I was so scared because the lost hero wasn't with the others.
I completely agree with you about the Jackaby book. I bought the first one for the beautiful cover and I read the book and was left feeling underwhelmed by the book.

Oh yeah Half Bad is one of my all time favourit triology...Jesse, read the 2nd and 3rd they are soo good and the last book will break your heart.

I love Jessie's videos♥️
Also. . . I'm so glad he's ok with people not liking "miss peregrines" cause I'm not a huge fan😂😂
When Jesse apologized to the book for trash talking about it really spoke to me.. same!!
Your description of that last book sounds like the beginning of Treasure Island
Hi Jesse! One question: do you plan on continuing the Red Queen series? And have you read King's Cage yet? Btw the last book comes out next year. It's a quartet.

Same for The Fifth Wave. I forgot everything in it when reading The Infinite Sea
