  • Thanks to @ChrisSaenz13 for the great idea! And according to her video description, the idea came from Rachel Delafuente's blog: racheldelafuente.com/blog/onl...
If I had to choose just one fountain pen of each brand, which one would I keep and why? This was fun to think about! Especially for those few brands that I have a bunch of different pens. Curious to see what others come up with! #onefountainpenperbrand
(Sorry, forgot to increase the resolution and really don't want to redo it. I promised myself to not be a perfectionist with those videos, otherwise, I would never upload a video ever again!)
    Brands mentioned:
    Lamy
    Pelikan
    Leonardo
    Pilot
    Benu
    Esterbrook
    Franklin Christoph
    Opus 88
    Kaweco

This was so much fun!!! And I'm very glad to find your channel!!! A lot of people have mentioned to me that I'd like a Leonardo - I do intend to learn about them! They look expensive but to be honest I've yet to "price" them. :) Esterbrook is another brand I have yet to try! I also had trouble choosing between Pilots so ultimately I just went with the one that will hold my favorite CM nib lol. Thank you for mentioning in your comment over on my channel that you did this video!!!! :)

Correct answer for Pilot was Falcon. ;)
    The Leonardo's are amazing-absolution granted.
Lilliput is the best Kaweco. Especially that one.

I don’t even own a Prera so not sure why my brain offered that 😂. I respectfully disagree about the Lilliputian, I love the feel and look of it and I think it’s the cutest pen, it’s just too small for my hands to write with.

I loved this video! I think the Franklin Christoph nib units screw in and out, so it would be easy to swap the nibs in your two pens.

I know! And I might actually swap them. I was imagining having to choose right in the spot 😜. But the easy nib swaps is one of the many things I lobe about the Franklin-Christoph’s

Loved this video! And I laughed at how fast you were able to sort through your pens so quickly. You are a quick decision maker. I am not so quick.

Glad you enjoyed it! I definitely thought about it all day long, and had some decisions already made in my head. But I was trying to just go with my gut rather than overthinking it. The only one I am second guessing and still churning in my head is the Pilot one…. :-)

Great video and takes. All these discussions recently only show how different we are in our preferences and tastes.
And in that regard - if you want to let go of that white Benu you don't love (Cookies & Cream Milkshake, was it?)... Please let me know. I found it too late and by the time i got the funds to get it, it was gone out of stock and never re-stocked.

Fun video, thanks for posting. For me the brand with the widest variety that I own is Kaweco. I ended up picking the Special, with a BB nib.

What a fun video! ❤ I would also choose my Lamy 2000 from my collection. It’s a no brainer for sure! Thanks for sharing! 😊

Thank you! Yeah, the Lamy 2000 out of my Lamy’s was the easiest decision of them all!

Hi! This was fun, thank you! You can get rid of the squeaking on the OPUS 88 or any pen with a touch of silicone grease. Great choices by the way and I really enjoyed the „why I‘m choosing this pen“!

I'm trying to think which brands I have more than one of, lol.
I have a few Preppies and they're all pretty similar, but the blue preppy wa I got is pretty. I have a Pilot Petit1 and a Pilot Kakuno and I like them both. Might go with the Petit1 just because it's been discontinued!

Oh I like the discontinued argument!!

I spent a lot of time on Team Pilot Petit1. Then I switched to using and loving a set of Parallels. Now it's an older Custom 67, for its Coarse nib. It has the biggest nib I've found that is still round, not stubbed out.

Grew up writing with fountain pens then stopped for several decades. Now I'm back I ave four rules 1; I Have to LOVE USING IT BECAUSE a gorgeous b love the nip 2; Style / Aesthetics have to fit function; Daily Contemplation about living my best life - the pen is so beautiful - stupidly expensive but I put it on the list my husband asked for - for a big birthday. Because of 3 I will try as many as necessary; with this one the company's superb in person customer service and reasonable policies qllowed me to try 2 others before settling on the original 3 Customer service return policy, company's reputation have to be good. and 4 I am willing to try and return repeatedly until I am sure it is right - people who do not realize what filing, using and restoring a fountain pen to as new for return need to know about this read the return policy closely and see how Easy one can get someone qt the company on the phone from customer service.meek....love your channel looking forward to learning more G
