Whereas in CGL, there are various kinds of jobs i.e- from CBI to ED
GST inspector to Income Tax inspector, which provide you both desk and field job . For desk job loving people, there are ministerial jobs. Overall exposure and job diversity in CGL>>>>>>>>>>>>SBI PO.
6. No time for UPSC preparation in SBI PO whereas there are many examples in case of SSC cgl (Recent one is 2019 topper Pradeep Singh who was an Income Tax Inspector.)
7. Allowances in SBI PO>SSC CGL( 3-4k difference not 15-20 k 😂😂😂)
Drawbacks are only time taking process and Promotions in some posts( some takes you to 5400 gp in just 8-10 years)
But,I will advise to go for SSC CHSL if you are 12th passed and for bank clerk exam just after graduation, take a job , then give SSC CGL wait for Mains exam completion, Then go for
State PCS and ultimately for UPSC CSE if you have enough enthusiasm 😂😂😂😂😂

There is no comparison between these two....CGL is way way better but exam process is lethargic and cut throat competition. Trust me I m saying this as a former SBI PO....got selected in CGL 18

You are inclined towards bank PO but deep down you know SSC CGL posts are far better than any bank PO especially SBI PO, bcz of the hectic schedule of SBI PO. CBI, ED have work load but it’s much much more respectable than any bank PO and there job is way more interesting than a bank PO, they do lots of different and interesting things. Also everyone in their childhood has thought of being a cop we all have played chor police bcz it’s fun, it has thrill and way more interesting.

Nobody said about that and I am currently working as an RRB PO for more than a year and now I have cleared IBPS PO too and got UBI. I almost know everything about a banker, it’s life, respect, power and everything. SSC jobs are far greater and better than any bank PO.

Agar 22-23 me bank clerk job lelo aur phir CGL ka prepare Karo toh bahut achha hai kyunki clerical job hone se ek security rahegi aur saath me cgl ke liye prepare karne ka time bhi milega aur agar CGL CGL nhi hua toh bhi idhar scale 1 toh sure rhega.

@Hopeful Human but being an employee of SBI doesn't label you as a govt. employee since they are governed by their own pay system and officers working in psb are not called gazzetted officer and do not possess power to attest document and govt. Stamp like other gazzetted govt. Employees. Thank u

Well to be honest, researching a lot about these 2 post. SSC CGL is way harder… well we can’t deny the fact that reasoning in Banking exams are pain in the ass. However, SSC CGL general awareness is something else, both are tough but. Based on the working hours SSC CGL is better. banking is too hectic… it’s a tiring job. the completion in SSC is way tougher… I’m a recently graduate student as well, I’m going for ssc cgl … wish me luck 😁😁

Mere ghr m toh dono h PO v Ur CGL wale v as My uncle first clear PO then left the Job due to workloads and after that he cleared SSC CGL and posted at CBIC department.. 4 years s zyda hogye ur avi 1 lakh s zyda Ghus easily miljata h har mhina depend upon ur posts aisa unka kehna h.. Few points i want to add
1)my opinion- if any one has graduted recently from engg college and has given campus placements exams or any apptitude exams than bank/ins exams is a better option because,ssc me 1-2 saal me exam process complete hoga 3 saal me joining ayega
And ye bhi rehta jab aap fresh passout hotey to kisi bhi job opportunity ko jaldi convert kar skatey ho and ssc sirf wait karata hai, and it becomes hard to continue your studies for 2 years or more
People dont realize the time they are wasting just for the exam process of ssc cgl is disheartning
A better option go for ibps pattern exam consider the whole year of exam cycle
And not only we will get opp in sbi ibps as well as in (lic ,rbi grade b rbi asst,nabard ,epfo fci and other onsurance exams where work life is comp.better)
Add on to the above points
In ssc nothing is guranteed exam process scam,hard shift easy shift cheating ...list goes on!!

There is no comparison between the powers and social respect one gets in CGL posts. Whatever your position in banks people will never salute or bow down before you but in CGL posts people from the very first day start respecting you.
As far as power is concerned any banker has no Power beyond his branch but CGL posts give us administrative power.
Overall if one is getting top post in CGL there is no confusion in opting for it.
There is no power in a CGL job..😂 it's a myth, neither any high profile connection u make in CGL...and the social respect ur talking about...u only gets in the likes of societies u have grown up in...or in rural areas...in top tier cities nobody gives a fuck about CGL employees as they are well informed...

the scenario of depot is completely different.....there is work load at times of procurement......even you have to stay till 10 PM and also can be called on Sundays...In depot you have to deal with laborers and Truck drivers...Thus if you are selected for General then definitely go for it but if in Depot then choose Bank jobs or SSC

You didn't talk about examination strategy......SBI po is much easier to qualify rather than getting 4600gp job by ssc cgl.
Exactly, although SSC CGL exam is much easier when compared to SBI PO/IBPS PO mains exam, but even getting 2400GP post is tough. You have to score atleast 300 for that

One sud opt their job according to his job style. Everybody have different skills. If one find problem after a peg then why sud he hold the glass no matter what the brand is. So better choose from heart and just chill!!

Bhaiya mere Rbi grade B is far better than sbi po but it's not a cup of tea for everyone.
