I would suggest you guys choose any one of the two. I wasted 2 months keeping both of my legs on two boats and ultimately I crumbled due to pressure. SSC and Banking both have major dissimilarities in the syllabus. Please have patience choose one field and do your best.

M an aspirant of both cgl and bank.... Trust me in quants, cgl mains stands nowhere in front of bank po mains. I easily attempted 20 ques out of 30 ques in cgl mains, bt it was very very difficult to attempt 10 ques out of 60 question in ibps and sbi po mains

these days cgl mains exam is like a lottery . Nearly 50000 students has already done thresold preparation. Multiple selections with no waiting list ensures you don't get what you deserves. It is a game of luck than hard work as your selection is determined by 1-2 questions. UPSC conducts its mains of 1750 marks for a reason, whose cutoff is around 60%. In SSC there is a hardly any scope of improvement after you reach certain level. But in banking mains cutoff is around 40-50%, there is always a scope of improvement. And mind my words you can definately get bank jobs if you prepare well unlike SSC. So to conclude it DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY BY ALL FANCY POSTS IN SSC AND THINK 100 TIMES BEFORE CHOOSING SSC OVER BANKING.

i was bank aspirant but got enticed by high vacancies of cgl and started preparing for it. Later realized your mentioned reasons and left it and solely focused on bank exams and later cracked ibps po. If you work hard enough you can surely crack bank exams and it is not the same in case of cgl with no waiting lists and same candidates getting selected over and over again.
Ek baat bolunga, Jisne BANK PO/Clerk join Kiya hai voh banda CGL ka exam deta hai lekin Jisne CGL ki 2400 GP bhi mili hui hai voh banda bhi bank exams ki tyaari nhi karta.
Secondly, I agree with you ki Bank exam mein banda apne level ko improve kar sakta hai as compared to last time performance.
All the perks and growth avenues aside, 90 out of 100 people will say that their heart goes out for CGL posts(particularly 4600 GP). But nowadays, CGL jobs are also getting stressful, unlike before GST was introduced.

But sir, i disagree with your 2- 3 answers.
1. You say SSC CGL maths are higher than SBI po, IBPS po and all banks mains exams.
But sir students are finding it difficult to score 10 marks in the po mains exam in quant .
2. GA capsules of 30-40 pages are not relevant these days in banking exams, the questions asked nowadays are totally in depth in mains . 70 - 80 % of Ga questions are statement based .

Overall SBI po and IBPS po >>>>>>SSC CGL.
1. Maine kaha CGL jyada hai
2. 30-40 pages was for banking awareness and 6 M current is separate

I left ssc preparation because to get home state is a big issue in here. But for females bank always give home state that too near your locality only .
But ssc is much easier because reasoning maths it is comparatively easier than in banks .. bank exams require speed and also there is state wise cut off.

State-wise cutoff clerical cadre recruitment mein hoti hai, PO mein nhi
And secondly, quality of questions zroor bank po ke tough Hote hai CGL ke comparison but selection Lena CGL mein tough hai. GS ek toh poora kabhi cover nhi hota upar se Agar Maths/reasoning/English mein se ek bhi section acha nhi gya toh race se baahr ho jata hai candidate. Computer bhi bada game changer hai CGL mein. Bank PO ki atleast cutoff toh thodi kam jaati hai aur GA/BA section bhi predictable hota hai, 4-6 months tak ka padlo, usi mein se questions bante hai

If you want salary + knowledge, good promotions and most important career growth welcome to the bank but it comes with a cost because at the starting of the job when you get sudden pressure 90% people are not able to handle that but trust me once you are used to it you will literally enjoy this job and you will be more discipline throughout your life and able to manage things efficiently. In SSC you will get recognition less work stress but it will come with a cost i.e. average income you have to think twice before spending money.
Being a banker and I have also attempted SSC CGL Mains. only thing which put me off for SSC CGL is KVS PRT teacher is also having same grade pay which a Income tax officer is having so if I really want to switch a the job for taking care of my family i will better go for teaching field which i did unfortunately Due to supreme court Judgement regarding BE.d i was out. Regarding respect Its totally depends on your Public relation and how you behave job has nothing to do it in Long run for short term job will affect that.
After all what matter the most is money in your account.

M ssc se selected hu....but m SBI me bhi kaam kr chuka hu so mere hisab se bank po is far better than any 2400 2800 grade pay.
Any bank po in home town is far better than any ASO except MEA.

Sir I am married and searching for a job. I was preparing was ssc and I have appeared for ssc cgl mains 2022 but was not able to clear the final cutoff then I was not able to clear the prelims of Ssc cgl 2023 then I decided to prepare for banking exams. But I am still confused which one to opt. My heart says I should prepare for Ssc but on the other hand I need a job to. If I prepare for banikng I am not sure that I can make it because the syllabus is different and approaches also. What should I do. This is the best time for preparing for ssc cgl 2024 and the banking exams 2024. I really need clearity. Please air guide me. No one is able to clear my doubt
