15:45 let's not forget Benoit took Dos Santos for his UFC debut, on short notice, at 170lbs instead of 155lbs, and Dos Santos tested positive to PEDs after it. They've tried to overturn it, but since it happened in Abu Dhabi, it isn't possible.

Alex Pereira has been very active. Coming back from a ko in 2 months to win and again in the same year to win a belt and help Strickland improve his stand up to win against Adesanya is beyond impressive
Pereira trained with Strickland for literally three days, Pereira himself said this. That isn't anywhere near enough time for improve someone's stand up to beat a specific opponent. Sean defeated Adesanya with a basic one-two and a teep to the body, which is something he's always used. Pereira gave full credit to Sean and his team for beating Adesanya, he had almost nothing to do with Sean's win.
@BroccoliLesnar it's not as simple as that, yeah he mainly used those two attacks but his leg kick checks played a huge part in this win, because Izzy couldnt take his leg out which he relies on.
I feel like Pereira could have given him tips on what to focus on, and then Sean continued to train that without Pereira

Sean Strickland went 3-0 this year and had one of if not arguably the biggest upset in ufc history against Adesanya to win the middleweight title. Makhachev barely beat Volk the first time and you could make the argument he lost that first fight. The second win was against a 1 week notice Volk with an injured elbow. Makhachev was good but Strickland should’ve won FOTY.

Good work here, Piggie. I was worried going into this after seeing the thumbnail, but this is a proper tier list. The only correction is that Aspinall's year is certainly more impressive than Jones' and O'Malley's. I guess the only reason he is lower on this list is that he has yet to claim the Undisputed Belt. But he certainly had a more impressive year than these clowns or spoon-fed "champs" I should say.

@@alltimehustle3307 yes bc the UFC rigged the timing of the match in his favor against Aljo for the belt. Made him fight 3 months after he went 5 rounds with Cejudo. Something no champ is ever doing or forced to due. I get that he beat Yan and Aljo so all the props in the world, but the Yan fight is controversial to say the least. And the Aljo fight was pushed for his benefit and it worked! Those are his only wins to top 10 BWs, and it was enough to get him where he needs to be. But he does have a loss from a member of the top 10.

Some of the shots JDM landed would have wobbled or even knocked out other Welterweights. It was a slow and technical fight but JDM clearly won. Eh, maybe. But then again, you could also say he has 1 impressive win this year. He beat Usman, fair play, but there was a lot of cheating in that fight. Fence grabbing and such. Meanwhile, he did 49-46 Colby, but it wasn't this insane performance. It's more like it's been exposed that Colby is a fraud that can't beat anyone that's not a pensioner.

And would have been a 5-0 if he stood up but he wanted to show up Colby on the ground even more than he did in the other rounds by submitting him, and ended up getting reversaled. But he knew Colby couldn't submit him so it was an easy 4-1. Plus, beating Usman in the same year...he should be A tier as OP suggested. Nobody else in welterweight even beat Usman and Colby in the last several years.
Alex Pereira fights 3 belt holders in 4 fights in roughly 15 months and you put him below Leon who got to 2 decisions in his past 3 fights, and in one of those he basically was losing as much as one can lose until that head kick. Are you with your senses Piggy boy?
Another thing to mention is that Volk isn't just a featherweight he's a small featherweight and Islam is a big lightweight, it's still impressive but it's not short notice Sean impressive.
He’s small in height, but his reach is longer than islams and a lot of featherweights, including max and topuria, and he weighs like 186 out of camp…
Volk's frame is deceiving. The guy weighed and carried 240lbs very well in his rugby days. His reach is almost 72". He's short in size but definitely not a small featherweight. He's a tank.

Other than your number one pick (Sean Strickland) this is by far the worst tier list you've ever done - obviously Tom Aspinall should be A tier, and definitely, no question above Jones, especially since you're supposedly doing it by where they started to where they are now. Dricus should also at least be B tier if not A by the same criteria. Pantoja should be B tier. Garry should obviously be above Jailton, even if he did fumble at the end. Your takes and logic in this video are all over the place lol...

I think Tom Aspinall had a good Year. Tom could & should be champion 🏆 but Jones is holding up the division. Tom came back & beat the actual scariest dude in HW. All Jones did was fall onto Cyril and choke him out in 2 mins with zero decent striking. Then Jones gets to hold up the division forever after a (In my opinion weak win) it was a win but it was lame.
