    Do you have a current insta strategy for your photography biz??

    Thank you sharing your thoughts! Engaging with the client is our biggest social media struggle - what to say; how much info to provide (particularly pricing); how to get them to the next level (call, face-to-face, etc.). I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!

    Welcome back and congratulations on your daughter! I'm excited to view your weekly videos again. I always find them so inspiring and make me want to continue being the best business I can be. Your Tip #2 is something I struggle with. I photograph engagements, weddings, as well as newborns and milestones. It seems to work since couples get married then come back to me for newborn and milestone sessions of their kids but should I not blog those sessions? I blog weddings and engagements on Wednesdays and newborns/ milestones on Friday's. I always struggle if I should blog newborns. I do have 2 different Instagrams so the bride isn't confused. A whole new website for newborns and milestones seems a tad overboard? HELP!

    Hello, Joy great video! I use Instagram but not on a consistent basis. Your video reminded me that I need to get back on posting. I use Planoly to schedule posts in advance. I plan to set up a month's worth of content to post every day. I was wondering if I should set up content to post every day or try and post multiple times a day. I also worry about coming up with the content and the Keywords. I am looking forward to watching your next video. Thank you for sharing your expertise!

    I loved this. Although I've been doing photog work for a while sometimes it's good to brush up on guidance. My big issue with IG is curating my gallery and getting noticed by clients. I do okay, but I feel something is lacking a bit and I could use some boost

    I love love love Shooting so many different things. I think the biggest challenge is to narrow my brand down to just Weddings. It is scary. :( Do you have a tip on how and where I can even begin!?

    • @Joymichelle
      @Joymichelle  4 года назад +1

      Definitely not easy. If you only had 1 day a week to shoot, and you were going to make the same money either way, what's the 1 type of event/subject you would want to photograph? That's how you know.

    I'm still learning how IG works. I feel like I have no clue. Some say to use hashtags.. others say not to. I've done both. When I used hashtags, I did recieve "likes".. but when I didn't of my 140 followers I only got like 2 "likes". I know I shouldn't be hung up on this.. but it makes me wonder, does anyone see it? Should I hang up the IG and only post on my website? Idk what to do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I totally get what you’re saying, but most of my income comes from Seniors and weddings are starting to increase. Should I have two accounts? I know I need to be consistent. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you. 😊🙏🏼

    • @Joymichelle

      I don't think you should separate accounts for this because the work is similar enough to market to both

      Joy Michelle Photography I have about 330 followers that it’s taken a year to achieve and I’d say I get about 5 comments max on my photos... but not from ideal clients. My likes range from 20-50 per photo. I’d say I get about 1 inquiry every 3-4 months 😕

    At the moment I just occasionally sell prints here or there, really dont want to appear spammy :(

    • @Joymichelle
      @Joymichelle  5 лет назад

      I totally get that. I agree that's a good thing to avoid. There are lots of authentic ways you can feature and showcase your prints and your work without pushing the actual sale. That's why I love content marketing. consider educating your viewers with the benefits and uses of prints in their home instead of pushing a direct sale

    I live in an area where we have to almost be masters of all photography genres, thus posting weddings, headshots, maternity, etc because you cannot focus on one or two things and get any money. Not enough people here to specialize so we have to do it all, thus have to post it all. I have 191 followers and no one iteracts no matter my ads or posts. A friend of mine is a better photographer than I am and only interaction he and his wife gets are family: No clients. So this is a very hard area and so far your tidbits of info doesn't work here. He closed his studio after 15 years and now works out of his house like I do. Last year I had only 3 weddings and him 1. This year we both have none and I haven't shot since March. Tough market here.

    Hi, I want to ask a question. I'm a Wedding Photographer & I've done few weddings and given them watermarked images and got no complaint but recently a client gave feedback, they liked my work but asked about watermark. Now I'm confused for other events, to give watermarked images or not? Please help ASAP!

    It seems no matter what hashtags I try, I just get other photographers interacting with my content. While I appreciate that, I really want to figure out how to get potential clients looking at my content.

    • @Joymichelle
      @Joymichelle  5 лет назад +1

      What hashtags are you using? who is your target client? Hashtags are great - but try not to get too hung up on them. Be more focused on what VALUE you are posting into the world that would make that ideal client want to follow and engage

    • @daniellekennedy2707
      @daniellekennedy2707 5 лет назад

      Joy Michelle Photography I try to use a lot of location hashtags. So for me things like #tulsaweddingphotography or #oklahomaweddingphotography and then basic things I think I’d search if I were in their shoes like #weddingphotography or #ido maybe it just takes longer to build an audience than I thought? Most of those who follow or interact with me who aren’t wedding vendors themselves are past clients, but rarely do I see follows from strangers, and I’ve literally never received a dm or contact in anyway from someone who has said they’ve found me on IG. Have you ever done paid ads on IG? Worth it?
