Can the ZT0350OLTS work without the torsion bar?

Yes. I've done this 10 years ago on the 0350.

Because lots of people love ZT’s and Kershaws, but have a general dislike for the assisted opening feature.

I wonder if drilling out those liners would shave a noticeable amount of weight without making it blade heavy. Probably not, I don't remember these being as heavy as they are, but that was also when the 302 made this seem like a feather.

Yes. The blade steel is the only thing that changed.
