GTR Engine into a Nissan 370Z!

Watch me install a 1200hp Nissan GT-R VR38DETT engine into my Formula Drift 370Z! The new engine from OCD Works gets fully dressed with a pair of Garrett G25 turbos, capable of 660hp each! The custom tubular manifolds from Diamond Fab also hang our Turbosmart wastegates out front with hood exit dumps!
Lastly, before we drop the engine in, we grab our triple plate ACT Clutch to hold the 1000 horsepower to the wheels!

Those are the way turbo manifolds should be. Exhaust flow straight to the wastegate, not to the turbo!! Who ever built those knows what’s up. Best possible boost and control.

The GTR doesn’t have a manual transmission so jus curious did you use a 370 manual transmission nd if so did u need any extra parts to mate that engine to the manual transmission or is jus as simple as engine flywheel clutch and manual transmission 👍🏼🤟🏼

Is ther a rule over ther in fd that you cant put a bar out to the strut tower from the roll cage like FIA roll cages for rally cars and track cars ? I noticed use dont have it but in Japan and here 🇮🇪 and FIA drift events your allowed it . It's silly to be allowed to cut the whole crumple zone out and tube it but not allowed thag bar , but as soon as yous crash hard with out a bar out to the shock towers you total your shell. Or are yous allowed it just keeping as little bars as possible?

@@chrisforsbergracing Aw thanks for the reply. I think that's really silly who ever made them rules mustent b a mechanically minded or ever seen any FIA rally car or race car ever or ever built any car . Do you no why it's a rule ?
Do they just want yous totaling your chassis any tym you hit a really bad pot hole or tip a wall. I've been building and involed with rally cars for over decade and have mechanical engineering degree. I think it's really stupid since every other on track motorsport is aloud to. If we didn't put that bar in, the car would start folding over jumps I've seen it happen.

Yes we have to use a scatter shield because there is not an SFI bellhousing for it.

What the big deal with those guys that go to Toyota ok r GM motors for reliability.
I have used Nissan motors in all my Nissans since 1984 no issues. Race my car , show my car and drive home no trailers.
