The only things that bug me are:
1: Fake air intakes (which should not be on a 63)
2: boring 4-pot
3: how high the black plastic rear lower bumper extends up
4: cheaper plastics inside
5: the slightly angled screen
6: capacative buttons

I just mentioned the fake intake which immediately caught my eye, before I read down to this comment. When it comes to an AMG spec. nothing should be fake.
@@krane15The problem is that all of the major manufacturers are putting fake intakes on their car; especially their electric cars. Even brands like Porsche are guilty of using fake intakes. It’s disgusting to me and shows a lack of imagination.
The rear overhang really lets this car down. It needs to be trimmed down by a lot.
The assymetrical infotainment screen is absolutely a deal breaker. That shit would drive me up the wall.

I like the new one and in fact I’m buying one. I waited for the new one mostly due to the interior tech though, so the design is bonus. The interior is way better than previous model, I test drove both (the non AMG) and in person it beats old interior in every way. PS: my other suv is 2016 GLE 350d.

I'll take the coupe version. Sorry, I like that much better. Then, the regular plug in. It's supposed to get upwards of 60 miles of electric only range.
I believe before 2036 we will have an Atkinson cycle or Miller cycle four cylinder twin charged engine paired with dual e motors (for the rear) on the AMG models. You heard it here first.
So basically a Volvo then….great.

This is a 671hp monster of a suv that has more power than a bmw xm and lamborghini urus. Mercedes has not killed the 63 line at all.infact its better than ever 😂

My question is, does the off-center screen bother in real life (while driving) too? I agree with you, but I does not bother me.
I've read that it is actually the perfect angle. Still definitely agree with Bembli. Should have made their intentions on angled or straight clearer, even if just a bit.
I was bothered by it in photos, but I actually went to look at a 43 the other day in person, and to me it looks way better in real life than in the photos, so it's not a dealbreaker for me anymore. Bothers me in photos, but not when I'm sitting in the driver's seat in person.

Yea the off center infotainment screen would irk me lol. The vents are centered on the screen but also off the center line as well..
Durango, pre2020, had a similar thing going, but I think theirs was a quality issue. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

I share you opinion on symmetry.
But please take a seat in one of those new Mercedes Cars. I think they have done it by purpose. I drove a 2024 C-Class a month ago. I think from a driver’s perspective it looks very symmetrical and since that I think all the other cars with symmetry in their geometry look unsymmetrical🙃
And it has another big advantage. All areas of the screen are nearly in the same distance to the finger. The reachability of the far right areas of the screen is much easier than in my Model 3
how old is this general design?? it's been refreshed, but didn't it first come out in 2015?? Come on MB-- this needs a full makeover.
The "vent" in the rear bumper is in fact functional, but not like you'd think. It isn't a vent but rather an aerodynamic cut off to separate the airflow at the back of the car in a clean manner.
For you all complaining about 4 cylinders with electric motors then you think to think about gemera which has 3 cylinders with electric motor.

Nobody is complaining about a 4 cylinder engine. The problem is that a 4 cylinder AMG shouldn’t be called a 63. All car enthusiasts would agree. When people think about a AMG 63 it’s about the aggressive v8 sound to enjoy. If it was called a AMG 43 or 53 I wouldn’t care.

I own a 18 and a 20 i like the color matching wheel flares I want them on mine and can't find any alternative and the bumper air dams air

Funny how designs are changing nowadays. If I didn’t know about cars I’d have a hard time guessing which one is the new one. The front of the old one looks newer and better to me.

not just that it looses the V8, but somehow it looks like it's trying so hard to look "mean" and it and up looking like just an aggressive hot hatch, i mean the older version look much more meaty and mean without an excess add-on, to the body like the stupid spoiler, splitter, etc

@@barebilobrk The BMW tilt is more integrated and deliberate from a design perspective. The tilt on this car looks too weak and all the other models in Merc's lineup don't have this odd looking tilt. So it looks like a flaw.

My honest opinion...because of how SUV's have saturated the automotive world. They should have 4-cyl'd the whole SUV line up and and the "under AMG spec" bigger sedans and limos. Leave the V8's in the cars that car enthusiasts consider "cars". SUV's serves it's purpose of being practical so you don't need a powerplant with drama, just as sedans, etc still keeps the love of cars alive. Mercedes missing the mark. That's why, even though the BMW G80/82 have controversial styling...it grew on people, but BMW still gave their buyers BMWs!

New GLC 63 is a excellent high performance suv and a class leader . New engines are miles better than old v8 and it does have excellent soul. so overall you are wrong .

but at the same time engines become subdued and complex, lacking drama and the same soul that made a car so great.
imagine if the amg one was an i3 hybrid instead of a f1-inspired v6 hybrid. or if the supra only had a 4 cylinder. or if the lamborghini revuelto downgraded to a twin-turbo v8 hybrid instead of a hybrid-assisted naturally aspirated v12. would you feel disappointed?
if not, please drive or sit in an amg with a v8. then, drive or sit in something like the new c63s. and then compare your experiences. you'll see why so many disagree with people like you.

@@yix_i_e i had a bmw m5 v10 manual and 2006 e63 as well .1. Revuelto does need to downsize because lamborghini has the huracan for that job so you are wrong there. 2. Amg one is a f1 car for the road and extremely low volume so downsizing not needed . 3 .Only reason supra comes with a i6 because toyota and bmw was working on a different project . then toyota wanted a sports car and save cost . Just to remind you. another sports car from toyota is going to downsizing in the upcoming gen to the same engine as the gr corolla because its badass and people are extremely happy about that change .

Yeah, Mercedes-AMG's time of ridiculousness is over. These new drivetrains are awful and most of the reviews for AMG's E-Performance isn't all that great. The GT63 4-Door struggles to integrate the petrol and electric power, the S63 E-Perf is better, but still has lag, the C63 E-Perf is so far the best, but reviewers still say that other manufacturers do a better job of transitioning between petrol and electric power. Yes, the new E-Perf models have a shit ton of power, but do you really want a 4-cylinder in the space where a V8 was?
What I wouldn't at all mind is a standalone AMG model of the C-Class or similar-sized coupe that only has the 470 hp 4-cylinder going to the rear wheels only. It would be a great sports car or sports sedan.
On a side note: Why the absolute hell does this GLC have center-locking wheels? Are owners going to take them racing? Is Mercedes trying to illicit an F1 feel to the car? WTF?!
