I agree completely about the styling in all colours and body styles. I don’t see anyone paying out the difference for the 63s version for the little upgrade it offers versus 43. Trying to make it something it’s not. They should just end the 63 versions in the C and GLC, take out of its misery. In your road test, notice that the only time you enjoy the 63 is going fast and in today’s road reduced speed zones, it will be on very rare occasions you can enjoy it. One thing and maybe it's just me but what is with the plastic centre (air bag cover) on the steering wheel? I mean they could have given it fake leather with stitching and it would look so much better than the what looks so obviously plastic.
Were GLC AMG owners really that concerned with the drivetrain on the crossovers? The 'C' has heritage and history with V8s, but the GLC just go hand-me-downs from elsewhere. I don't know, I have no issue with this hybrid powertrain being in this baby SUV and simultaneously wholly reject it in the C63.

Nope. That rumor has been denied by the AMG boss Michael Schiebe himself, in an interview done after the Car and Driver article they asked him about it, citing the article as the reason for asking him. They are not going back to V8, at least not at the moment. Perhaps if their sales collapse over the long run we might see a return (this is my own speculation, not mr. Schiebe's). But this specific rumour you are talking about has turned out to be not true. Look it up. Not happy about it, but it is what it is I guess
Whoever advices Mercedes-AMG these days is really setting them up for failure. What a beautiful suv. It just need a proper engine to go with the looks. As a long term AMG guy I would never put my money on this. Jaguar F pace SVR is a better buy than this.
So funny how Mercedes LITERALLY LIES about the HP numbers, those number are only good for like 10 seconds LOL The ACTUAL power is nowhere near the V8's BMW is SO MUCH better nowadays with their amazing I6 and V8 engines, heck, even Audi!
From the reviews of the C63 it's not even performing well as the 2.0L is't powerful enough power is all high up in the rev range. Then the electric motor doesn't give all the power all the time so it leave's it lacking. Overall it's a disaster from AMG and they'll likely pay for it in sales.
Understand you are beholden to Mercedes for much of your subs RBR, but to claim this looks better than all it’s competitors?! It is nearly indistinguishable from the lower models, plastic grill surround, chintzy red badges, still all black plastic at the bottom. Nice wheels. Old fashioned or not, I would still take the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio any day.
Such a beautiful thing! And that engine and exhaust note. Marvellous.
I like it too!! only that squeaky plastique Ikea interior stops me from that.....
Lmao comparing engineering marvel to a dumb car with just a Ferrari engine 😂😂😂
@@rajeevmittoo4221’just a ferrari engine’ cant tell if youre trolling or not
@@rajeevmittoo4221 with all seriousness stelvio is a dumb car with Ferrari eye on it. Still better than this Benz and interior is not squeaky. A lot of plastic but not squeaky.
This is what we’re facing due to all climate policy and regulations. Get used to it. It’s a good looking car, performance through the roof. Most of the people complaining aren’t in the market for these type of vehicles anyway. We must be thankful there is a combustion engine instead some sort NASA car with wheelcaps driving on babytears...
I think they're trying out a new way of figuring out what actually needs a v8 or a v12 because I feel like the v8 are becoming too saturated across there line up so maybe v8 and v12 for top of the line cars like the S 63 s e performance or the GT 4 door and v6 and v4 are for what ever comes below that
so a A45 on a Rich Piana level of steroids
I'm getting one. I love it
So the 0-60 on the GLC43 and GLC63 are exactly the same, so what's the point in getting the 63 model?
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!! 👑🇯🇲🔥💥🌟⭐💯💎
Nice sounding engine
Imagine v8 engine in that car 🔥🔥🔥
But does it really need it I think they're trying out a new way of figuring out what actually needs a v8 or a v12 because I feel like the v8 are becoming too saturated across there line up so maybe v8 and v12 for top of the line cars like the S 63 s e performance or the GT 4 door and v6 and v4 are for what ever comes below that
Imagine eu parliament full of smart, honest, exceptional people....
@@wowzone8921 I liked it that they were bonkers and stuffed the V8 into any car that they could stuff the V8 into.
Just call it a 63. Any model that didn't have a V8. Call it a 53 or 43. Made perfect sense.
If you can do it, why not?
I absolutely loved the formula. Huge V8 in a little car.
I bought the C63 and the GLC63.
It didn't saturate the market, not that many people bought the C63 or the GLC63 compared to the C43 or the GLC43.
They just brought more attention to the brand.
The sales of the E63 pales in comparison to the E43 and the E53.
I don't know about this iteration. I'm more impressed with the Ioniq 5N than this.
sicckk😮 love the c63se and the glc63se its a bit expensive unfortunately😅 wowww the coupe looks soo sickkkkk🥺
Not worth the spend and resale will be nearly nil. Remember when you reviewed the last V8 version? You were as excited as a 5 year old with a new puppy. Now that was an AMG !!
I'm already thinking about when the warranty will end...
Does it crab like the old Glc63?
I am gonna hold on to my v8 glc 63s AMG
Yes in Sports + it charges battery however the fuel consumption is then horrendous
If I want to race some one I need 3 business days going through all mods
Seems too complicated
It would be very wise to keep this new powertrain in a more aggresive version of the A45s rather than the C63
It's looks nice but I don't think anybody will buy the 4 cylinder there is just something wrong with Mercedes-Benz lately people liked V8 in C63 and Mercedes-Benz said nope you are not getting it go to the bigger GLE people were hoping to get S Class interior in face lift and they said nope we are not gonna do that so I am not really sure which direction they are going it's almost they know what customer wants but decide to do totally opposite
Without a V8 I’ll never buy it. All true AMG cars should have a V8.
The 63 is soft-rinsed and looks just like a 43. Only the exhaust trims differ. And it also sounds like a 43. The 63 buyer won't like that...
This car looks worse than the previous one. Nice rims tho. Also 4 cylinder ”AMG” with a huge battery pack. What a waste of work.
Great video as usual👍
What is the fuel consumption like?
Mercedes AMG has screwed up again!! No way I will ever buy a 4cyl car nevermind a Mercedes AMG with a 4cyl!
You can literally hear the efforts of this overwhelmed engine. There is no sovereignty.
Just in time for the commute home. Perfect!
The C63 amg of now are in the league of the GTis in terms of exhaust sound. Am not a fan of Merc am more of a BMW fanboy. So the sound is dissapointing but the performance is not that bad,but in a c63 AMG you need way too much power than a BMW m3 in order to compete and keep up with it.
Nice technology - but without the V8 - I will pass this AMG by for a couple of intended GLC 63 S purchases that I would have SURELY made if it was V8. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA
Beautiful SUV! 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Love the specs too.🥳
Can’t wait until they roll (some version of) this out in the USA.
Very truthful review, I would still buy one
Thank you
👍👍👍
Dropped amg for ///M 💪
Please to adjust the volume abit louder before u upload or during filming move your mic closer to mouth
Mercedes are really handing over the reins to BMW. I have been a long time owner of many AMGs but I would not consider any of these new models and have now opted for a X3 / X5
Another cool video, keep the good work, sending love from Miami🤙🏾🇵🇷
UK spec of many Mercedes disappoints. Black trim seems to be unavailable on most. Dealer told me they introduce black trim when model is ageing and needs a boost. Was looking at a C43 AmG estate and limited what exterior changes you can make.
the 0-60 graphic for the 63s says 4.7 seconds, should be 3.5 as you said
Nice video as always 👍🏽 I'll take the prev gen with its V8 thanks
An AMG powered by a bottle of milk 🤢
We only take the A/CLA45 deriously as pocket rockets and nothing beyond that.
nice high heel trainers
One thing and maybe it's just me but what is with the plastic centre (air bag cover) on the steering wheel?
I mean they could have given it fake leather with stitching and it would look so much better than the what looks so obviously plastic.
It is what it is 4cyl.. but why the fake speaker sound😂
Man I’m an Audi fan !but I must admit I have always loved the glc even the previous gen . They nailed this one design wise
I personally think it’s not bad actually i like it , I’ll miss the v8 sound but you can always get it tuned
Did they solve the ackermann effect causing crabbing on cold tires with full lock?
You got the bump of that Batty😂
I’m really looking forward to the 43
Same. Its the much better package right now, although still overpriced
What part of it are you looking forward to?
The 43 looks better to me in the coupe option anyway
Im very happy about mercedes, despite all the bad comments and people who try to compare with bmw or audi or whateever. Mercedes always was further more forward than the other in aspect of inovation and going in tact with the international laws. I bet you will se bmw and audi too going more and more electric we should accept the end of an era, what mercedes did, is being first to manifest the laws. Like always the king holds the crown … ❤️
STOP comparing the cayenne with the GLC it's more comparable with the GLE, glc vs macan not cayenne
Sounds like a dying cat on a turntable… an inline 6 would’ve killed that weird droning whine sound. Reminds me of after market bubble civics from the 90s
Mercedes-AMG C63 and E63 models will reportedly return to using V8 engines in the near future. Car and Driver has reported that these performance-focused luxury cars from Mercedes-Benz's AMG division would adopt a revamped version of the M177 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine in 2026. All hope is not lost for v8 lovers but I Not every thing needs a v8 I think they're trying out a new way of figuring out what actually needs a v8 or a v12 because I feel like the v8 are becoming too saturated across there line up so maybe v8 and v12 for top of the line cars like the S 63 s e performance or the GT 4 door and v6 and v4 are for what ever comes below that
@@BinaryBlueBull they will always say that. Otherwise there sales will be 0 instead of 1.
Thank you Oh Lord for this one!
BMW X3M Competition is lighter and will be faster than this 💯. I wish Mercedes Benz could work on weight as is unacceptable 🧑⚖️.
Don't forget about the Macan GTS
And people say mercedes is better then BNW. MY ASSSS
That instrument cluster screen is silly. It could have been placed under an overhead cover-design like it used to. Nevermind the 4 cyl rubbish :(
Whoever advices Mercedes-AMG these days is really setting them up for failure. What a beautiful suv. It just need a proper engine to go with the looks. As a long term AMG guy I would never put my money on this. Jaguar F pace SVR is a better buy than this.
So funny how Mercedes LITERALLY LIES about the HP numbers, those number are only good for like 10 seconds LOL
The ACTUAL power is nowhere near the V8's
BMW is SO MUCH better nowadays with their amazing I6 and V8 engines, heck, even Audi!
sadly, the GLC43 is not available in the UK.
From the reviews of the C63 it's not even performing well as the 2.0L is't powerful enough power is all high up in the rev range. Then the electric motor doesn't give all the power all the time so it leave's it lacking. Overall it's a disaster from AMG and they'll likely pay for it in sales.
I rented$ a Mercedes’ on a recent trip and the learning curve for the interface is a bit much. Can’t just hop in and go
Understand you are beholden to Mercedes for much of your subs RBR, but to claim this looks better than all it’s competitors?! It is nearly indistinguishable from the lower models, plastic grill surround, chintzy red badges, still all black plastic at the bottom. Nice wheels. Nice dash (creaking plastic included) and no soul. I’ve heard it in the C63S, it doesn’t inspire especially for over $100k USD. It will be interesting to see if all that weight makes it faster than the X3M Comp around the Ring
Looks way better than previous gen
Im thinking of buying it, im still not sure between it or cla 45, looks beautiful 🔥🔥
31:12 is proficient really good enough for over 100k?
Question is do I upgrade from 2020 GLC63s to the new one? Not sure what todo
Absolutely not. Mine was totaled by a cellphone distracted idiot (thank you front/rear camera) and I miss it every day. Only BMW M and Porsche still understand enthusiasts. Mercedes has lost the plot.
If this video didn't help you solve your conundrum, no one will!😂
get an X5m instead. AMG is done
Do you think they will put the same engine in the all-new GLE model?
