Just bought mine for $180 in .177 which is my preferred caliber. It cracks like a .22 LR with anything under 9.5 grains. This is my first Air rifle (bought 3 more after this one lol) I will keep it forever, and I didn’t want to deal with magazines that will not be available in 10 years. I also bought a Hatsan 25 supertac, a Benjamin mark 2 pistol, a Beeman p17 I love that thing, a gamo p900 pistol, a Crosman American classic 1377 with buck rail upgrades. I am really liking this hobby, at 41 years old I never expected I will be enjoying this so much.
You are the only person reviewing guns that I feel is 100% honest. Thank you for your time! I am looking to get this gun because I don't own a breaker in my arsenal. Sometimes I just want that go to gun without the air tank thing.
l bought this gun last June because of Covid lockdowns and it'd be something to do since l'm retired and 2 because l have 10 acres of privacy. l was so impressed with it's accuracy from the open scope that l didn't put on the stock scope for two weeks. Then l really had fun! l put up various targets at 25 and 50 yrds (l measured). My wife turned out to be the better shot in most cases, lol. l've since taken off the scope because l shoot varmits closer than 25 yds. My best shot was a hawk that wanted my chickens and has harrased them several times. He flew down and landed on my 50 yd target board. Big mistake. Love the Gamo, it's built well, and l forsee using it for years. Great video, very informative, thanks.
Excellent review. Why did I feel like at any moment this guy might cut the shooting and move straight to the margarita blending portion of the programming.. cool range set up
Great review John!! It's on a Memorial Day Sale for $190 at GamoUSA. I love this gun but have always wanted it in a repeater! I wish Gamo made this rifle with the Whisper Fusion Elite stock (adjustable cheek piece) and the Swarm Gen 2 action. I think Gamo would have the perfect tweener rifle most people could cock comfortably with solid 50+ yard range. Call it the Gamo Swarm Elite or Whisper Elite! Maybe some day!!!!
Hey Buddy, not sure the exact date when the Gen2 will be released but I'm sure very soon. I have a tendency to stay away from any refurbished models. There may be a few good ones but the odds are against it. Those are generally returns that are repaired. Thanks again for your comments and have a great Father's Day 👍
@@AirgunDetectives Put up a link and I’ll grab and support the channel if you want. You’re by far the best Air rifle reviewer on RUclips! You Chrono every gun, put groups in at 20yds real time and most importantly you GIVE HONEST information on everything you review... it’s not as common as most people think. I see a lot of BS reviews being peddled by some reviewers or let’s call it fluff (yeah that guy) if you catch my drift Lol. You don’t sugar coat... you give straight bullet points for the good the bad at the end and I tend to agree. I’m looking for a 20-23/FPE or better gas piston (with sling if possible) for hunting and this just ticked all the boxes except price. I agree with what you said except the Hatsan 125 Vortex Camo in .22 I got was refurbed and I’ve put over 2000-3000 through the pipe easy and it’s accurate and holding steady at 28/FPE. I think they might have polished the cylinder because the seal is holding great. Took it hunting and it was a workout at 10.5/lbs scoped with the same UTG you had on this Gamo. If I could get my hands the that Sig ASP20 synthetic in .22 it would be the last break barrel I would need... I bought it (pre-ordered) after seeing your review but they are having manufacturing delays still no ETA. I spoke to Mike at Sig directly so I’m strongly considering this Gamo as I don’t want their magazine fed system like my Whisper Swarm. Shoots great but magazine loading assembly is broken. I’m fine with a pellet pen out in the field anyway. Great review 👍 as always. Me and my dad love your reviews!
@@greg6162 Thank you for the extensive feedback and information. I still have a tendency to favor the non-magazine break barrels. Less complicated and less to go wrong. However the magazines may have the edge with follow up shots while hunting. So there is definately room for both.
@@AirgunDetectives I agree the magazine provides a convenient setup. But I like loading 2 different pellet pens... one with a heavier domed head for shots over 30yds and another pellet pen with an expanding hunting round (Terminator, Hornet or Hades) for shots taken inside 30yds. It’s nice to be able to change pellets on each shot if necessary but it’s not a deal breaker either way. You can buy a second magazine and achieve the same results but the Gen 1 magazine assembly isn’t as reliable as the Gen 2 from what I see. I got my brother shooting air rifles and he just got the Gen-2 Gamo Swarm Magnum in .22 and I really like the Gen 2 magazine’s as far as loading they have a latch that catches when loading making it faster and easier to seat pellets than Gen 1
Just bought the 22 and 177 on Amazon for $150 each. I have a bunch of games. I think for the price you can't beat these rifles. I understand that they're not something that's going to last you. Your entire life probably, but that's why I have Diana's and things like that. When I take my gamo in the woods I don't get upset if it rubs against the tree and leaves a mark or whatever. It's great to have rifles like this. They're also good quality rifles
I bought the Gamo Raptor whisper in .22 cal . $187 . I’ve been so busy working haven’t had time to sight it in yet . I’ll be on vacation next week . Hopefully I can play with it then . I also just received the Hatsan Carnivore in .30 cal . Oh boy this one is the boss . I can’t wait to find a high quality scope to mount on it .
Id have to say out of the 14 gamos i have my favorite is the 22 cal.Whisper fusion Elite w/adjustable cheek piece and pistol grip..this gun hss a very different feel and very affordable.it has a thicker pistol grip that feels really nice.only downside is something happend where a pellet blew the inside of muzzel a part at end of barrel Once i got all the pieces cleaned out it worked fine..id shot probably 6,000 shots through it before that happened
I've been looking at this rifle and am torn between the .177 and .22 cal. Are there any major differences to expect between the 2 different calibers? I noticed that I haven't really seen any videos comparing and contrasting calibers of the same rifle. Would be really cool to see one. But thank you for your through reviews. Keep em coming! :)
@@spart3776 You need to try a different scope and rule that out. If it still has the problem, your next move will be to chrono the rifle and check the velocity as well as the standard deviation. It may need a new piston seal.
@@spart3776 I agree with checking the velocity with a Chrony. If it’s a piston seal you’ll know. I had similar issues with my Gamo Whisper Swarm in .22 and it turns out I just needed to clean the barrel. Use a straw for the baffles so the cleaning patch doesn’t get caught up. Use Ballistol for the barrel and drop of PURE silicone on a Q-tip for the breach seal. Check all your screws are tight... stock and scope mounts. Also, always use a 1-piece mount for your scope if you aren’t using one already. But put it through a Chrony first and that will tell you if it’s the rifle or something you can fix or adjust yourself. Replacing a piston seal can be done yourself but you need a clamp, but I would just send it in to Gamo if you can.
I’ve said this in past comments about seeing the penetration. Like using pieces of plywood or aluminum stuff and see what hits harder. Do enjoy your work just would like to see the smack down on the air rifles. Had a 17 cal crossman that penetrated a 9 gauge piece of steel with the lead free golden eagles . Don’t quote me on the pellet but was hard as hell like an armor piercing pellet. Keep up the good work 👍.
I can always throw some penetration samples in. That Xisico Deluxe. 22 caliber I reviewed a couple of weeks actually penetrated an empty propane bottle. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comments 👍
These videos rock, extremely helpful thank you man. Just ordered mine. High hopes! One of my reasons for choosing the whisper fusion was the quality of the open sights. The rail system and bad scope aren’t even downsides for me, I don’t intend to use either of em
@@AirgunDetectives I bought this after watching your video and it’s easily the best Gamo I’ve shot. I haven’t messed with the trigger yet and I think I’m going to order those screws from you. I was thinking about your bipod but I’m a little hesitant about the placement, especially if I’m drilling into the stock. I like that you did the trigger adjustment on video as I’m just looking I drop the trigger pull weight in the 2nd stage. I find that Gamo’s like pellets that seat a little snug like the H&N FTT and any JSB (red tin) domed diabolo. I find the Red tin JSB’s fit tighter than FX branded (or similarly branded pellets JSB make) pellets do to slightly different head/skirt sizes. I’m gonna check your site out and grab a couple sets of those screws. Great video!
today is 9/6/2021,, this video is over a year old, i have been considering this rifle, the bone collector swarm gen 2 or the diana 48, i decided to get the whisper fusion mach 1 in 22, i ordered it earlier, on amazon for about 225 bucks, i'll upgrade the scope down the road, i like your review,, and i like gamo rifles,
The stock scopes don't last..I just tested a new BSA Optics Outlook Air Rifle Scope 3-9x40mm Mil Dot Reticle . I picked it up for $72.00 and I am pleasantly surprised. It is holding up well and has really clear optics.
@@AirgunDetectives that’s a great price! How would you compare it to the UTG you used on this Gamo in terms of clarity and build quality? I have the same UTG 3x9-40 you had on this Gamo Mach 1 on my (refurbed) Hatsan 125 Vortex and it’s still accurate and holding zero with 2000-3000 through the pipe and that’s gotta be one of the most powerful break barrels in .22 at a steady 28/FPE. Length of pull and weight (10.5lbs scoped) make it tough too offhand while hunting.
🤦♂️ Don’t get me started I’m right with you. I love this guy’s reviews... actually watching his review of the Sig ASP20 in .22 convinced me and I pre ordered the Sig ASP20 Whiskey combo synthetic .22 and after 3-months I gave up with NO ETA whatsoever? I got a hold of Sig directly and they couldn’t ship it to me because I live in NY state and even though it’s only illegal just in the five boroughs to ship... their legal department didn’t want the headache. I live in Buffalo, NY which is the furthest you can be from NYC while still residing in NY state... so I’m moving next year hopefully. Strangely enough this Gamo Mach 1 might be my next purchase as it ticks all the boxes I’m looking for. I want a break barrel (don’t do PCP’s) that’s over 20/FPE (no magazine) that I can use for pesting/hunting that’s not too heavy. I took my Hatsan 125 Vortex Camo in .22 earlier this season (accurate and hits hard) hunting and scoped with the UTG 3x9-40 true Hunter (same scope he has on Gamo in this video) it weighs in at 10.5lbs! So after 7/hrs in the field (no sling mounts) I felt it the next day. It’s a hard rifle to shoot offhand mostly due to length of pull and balance, but I like it’s 28/FPE and it’s accuracy, however I only really need/want something 20/FPE and that Sig would’ve been perfect 👌. Even though it’s on the heavier side it’s balanced better, has QD sling mounts built in the stock and isn’t as lengthy. I’m 6’3 220/lbs so I don’t have an issue with weight so much as balance and length of pull. I pretty much gave up on Sig even though every other site will ship to me (because it’s legal where I live) I think they are having unforeseen manufacturing delays due to the pandemic.
Good video brother. I myself purchased the Bone Collector about 2 and a half years ago. I replace the rear screw myself. Pick one up at a RC Hobby Shop. Of course had to cut it down. I have the trigger set at about 1lb 3oz. I like the fact that you stated..... do not do any adjustments to the trigger unless you're comfortable doing it. Or take it to a Gun Smith. It can be very dangerous. If you adjust it too light and put a pellet in it and cock. As soon as you close it the gun can go off. Or if it's bumped. But of course you know this. I also went through three utg scopes with that rifle. The back ocular lens crack on all three of them. Too much kick. It was kind of weird. UTG was good about replacing them. Since then I've become a PCP collector and do my own tuning on my rifles. Oh I forgot to mention I did end up purchasing a TX200 air arms air rifle 22 caliber HC. Love that rifle. The trigger on that is just beautiful. Honestly better then any of my PCP air rifle triggers. Redid the stock to a high gloss Tru oil finish. Polished the trigger guard, trigger, rings to a high Chrome like finish and added a handmaid aluminum piece between the butt pad and the stock itself. Polished it out also. It's kind of a conversational piece. I really enjoyed your video. By the way love the yard. From New Mexico. Shoot Straight stay blessed.👍🇺🇸✌
Hi Richard, thanks for the comments and all the info on your guns. That TX sounds amazing! I am a big fan of the Rekford trigger on the Beeman and HW rifles. I will feature an R9 in a few weeks. I also have two of the HW98. Great guns. Again, thank you for watching 👍
Great analogy with its placing between the magnum and other Gamos..ive got 14 different Gamos and yeah its not quite a magnum but id say 1 step below it with power, cocking effort and other specs..
That's a wide open question. What are you going to use the rifle for? Do you want a multi-shot or single shot? What is your budget? Gamo or other brand? I would suggest a .22 caliber regardless. So many options out there...
Good stuff John. I own this same rifle in .22 cal and couldn't get it to group worth a poop, I found that I had to realy use the artillery hold. Man these gammos are so lite and for that reason sensitive to shoot, at least thats what I've experienced. I noticed when you shoot you don't fart around and take the shots quickly, did you have the same experience with the fusion needing an extra dose of the artillery hold? Hell you made shooting it look simple. I've enjoyed all your rifle reviews and thought it would be great if you included an accuracy test at 40 yds with a shoot and see target along with your plinking session. Anyways, thanks for another great vid!
I try to shoot a variety of smaller objects during the plinking session at 40 yards to give viewers a feel of the performance including the impact or FPE. If you can hit those small eggs or even a shotgun shell at that distance then small game is a piece of cake. Very few of the breakbarrels are target performers at the 40 yd distance. If you can get at 1" group at that distance it's a winner. Bipods help with accuracy on the majority of the models. The number one factor is finding the correct pellet.😉
How are you doing air gun detective I got two Gamo air guns for Christmas the Gamo swarm magnum 10x gen2 in 22 cal with two magazines and this Gamo whisper fusion also in 22 cal i haven't shot either one yet jus doing reviews I have been going back and forth with my self on deciding on which one I wanted to keep after doing some deep research and inspecting the Gamo swarm magnum 10x gen2 and looking at this videoI decided to keep the whisper fusion and the 10x gen 2 has to go up for sale alone with the two Gamo scopes the other Gamo scope is there ao 3-9x40 scope thanks air gun detective
I am becoming a real fan of these reviews. I am trying to make an informed decision and educating myself in some of these low and mid-range cost break barrels. I'm not worried about sound levels or scopes. I would really like to try getting a consistent rifle in accuracy and trigger function and everything else is secondary. What do y'all like most in the sub $300 pricing for a .177. And the most accurate pellet for that rifle? Thanks!!!
Lots of choices...the trigger and accuracy is everything. Send me an email with some more specifics. Open sights, no open sights, why .177 over .22 etc. info@airgundetectives.com
@@OldManStrength2112 @AirgunDetectives i’m sorry I was trying to see which one he upgraded to. I have replaced the stock scope twice with only a little bit over 1000 rounds through it.
Why r u single loading that gamo loyal watcher please respond n did u know it will shoot up to 4 pellets n very powerful shotgun honest I have done it I know about lower velocity but it's still a beast at close range 30 yards I measured
Can u please explain why I would buy the fusion when u just showed me it only shoots less than 900 fps my gamo .177 shoots faster than that and also my gamo .22 shoots faster both break barrels I thought I wanted for the fixed sights I like them.
really appreciate your reviews..gamo has so many choices, hard to decide...want high accuracy to 100' at least..this rifle got top rated review on another site ..was wanting to go with .177 but might need to rethink and go with .22...what are all the pro's and con's of each cal? do you discuss elsewhere?
I bought one a couple years back and 0.177 caliber. As far as power it's awesome, but I don't want to use a scope on it and use the iron sights. However, the rear iron sight is a piece of junk. Gamo really messed up when they designed their rear sight I've already had to replace it twice and I'm very irritated with Gamo because of that. I suppose it doesn't matter if you're going to be using a scope on it all the time though.
I purchased one yesterday, shot very quick and accurate for about 30-40 shots…. Set it down for 30 minutes, picked it back up and it shot noticeably slower with little to no back pressure when cocking!! Any tips?
Thank you for the info. Could you please do a pellet review? I have this exact same rifle but I’m on the fence about which pellets to buy. I’ll be shooting skunks, raccoons, rabbits, and squirrels, and teaching my grandson how to shoot before letting him shoot my AR 15 then AR 10. Thanks
Just bought the upgraded trigger screw from AGD!! My 2nd stage is so long on my Mach 1 .22 and the first stage could be better. My brothers Gamo Swarm Magnum G2 has the same trigger but his 2nd stage is much crisper and predictable. I’ll update this when I install the screw it should be easy enough if you can install the bearing on a Benjamin Prowler then this is a piece of cake. I can’t wait because I’m having accuracy issues... however my Gamo Swarm Whisper 10x G1 has a great trigger and it’s not adjustable but it’s very smooth and I can stack pellets at 20yds all day.
@@AirgunDetectives WOW!!! The trigger is amazing now. I thought it was gonna be better but that is far beyond what I expected. It’s so predictable and smooth. Easy to install with the Allen key you provided. To make sure you don’t set a hair trigger I like to slap the but end on my deck making sure it won’t go off. Just go in short increments and you’ll be fine. Literally took me 5 minutes to install and my groups are night and day. Best $10 I’ve every spent!
I bought the .22 model and not sure if this needs to be broken in more or if the gamo red tips are just too inconsistent. I’ll have some tack drive and others fly. I use a death grip tripod and shooting 20 yards. And tips? I should be getting some H&N domed pellets to try out today.
New Subscriber here first post but been viewing for awhile. Thanks for the great review and the channel JC! I just purchased this air rifle a month or so ago $ 220 which was not bad I have a question if you could help me out - wondering why on the box and on the barrel it states that this rifle does 1100 FPS with alloy pellets. I have seen 1020 on the box and the barrel of other Fusion rifles so is this a Gen 2 version or something ?
I just bought this, mostly from your review, Thx:) and subscribed. I’m looking for a decent scope in the 200 range. Mostly use for pest control 20-50 yards. First, I zero’d the sights, which I Love, tight groups. I mounted scope + got close but no consistent groups. I also need scope for aging eyes, am thinking Vantage or Bugbuster 3x9x40ish. Want good warranty. Any recommendations?? I enjoy your vids, old time shooter, but new to air. Thx in advance:j
Very good video. That is a very good break barrel. I was wondering if you do a video. I have found to awesome air rifles. One is the Hatsan bullboss .22 and the Airforce Condor SS .25. They claim some pretty great hunting power. If you take the mystery out of these two you might want to reinforce your backstop from what I hear. Just an idea from a sharpshooting airgun hunter and backyard plinker.
John Im thinking of getting refurbished 177 says 1420 FPS but no clip.cant buy a 22 in illinois but I have plenty. So does the rrr suck or ruin scopes. What do you do with guns you test when your done?? Do you sell any? Thanks
I have a Gamo Swarm Maxim .22 calibrator pellet gun and want to buy a screw a screw that will let my trigger be more sensitive to pull. Right now it's pretty hard to pull. It has the stock screw in it. I understand there is a screw that can be replaced behind the trigger to do this. I went to one of the old time hardware stores and looked for the (2.5 X 10 mm) screw. They did not have this size. I know not to go to the big box stores to find this. Do you know where I can find such a screw? Let me know.....
aside from not having the pistol grip style stock design, are there any other differences between the .22 whisper fusion mach 1 and .22 the whisper fusion elite????
The Mach 1 has stronger power plant than the other Gamo’s which are all the same except for the magnum. This is in between the Whisper and the magnum in FPE but doesn’t have the 10 shot magazine... which is a good thing for longevity IMO. Mine has come loose but still fires but I know it’s eventually going to break. Stick with single shot and get a pellet pen at Walmart for like $10.
I'm looking to get an air rifle for iguanas I'm looking at the Benjamin maximus in 22 I have cerebral palsy I hear it's very minimal to pump up that cuz it's only 2,000 PSI and you get like 35 shots or should I just get a break action and cock 35lb which I have done before but I don't know how many times I could do it before I get exhausted
Thanks for this review. Would this be a good choice as a first air gun? Big property, small critters (rodents, pheasants, etc) and want to gain shooting experience (target shooting)...?
Yes...they even have a new version coming out this year that has the magazine. It is the new "Bone Collector" and it features the Mach-1 cylinder. Send me an email and I would be happy to point out some choice for you. info@airgundetectives.com
Not good for the gun...too much back pressure. Why would you even want to try that?? They make a double barrel that actually fires two pellets at the same time. I own one and I'll review it at one point.
Thanks for all your help can I put your stand on it and what will your trigger screw do to make it better? I ordered the .22 bone collector just now from amazon.
William...you now have a homework assignment! Watch my trigger installation video along with both the Gamo Maxxim Swarm and the Bone Collector video. Then I want you to get back to me with your findings 😉👍
Please review. Black fusion mach1 and black maxxim mach1, either of these. And I have no idea why there are multiple rifles with same specs. This rifle also falls in same category, but discontinued.
You'll find that the basic foundation on these rifles are identical. They just change the cosmetics as in a different stock or style, maybe a color as well.
@@AirgunDetectives Thank you. I subscribed your channel btw :) My last and final question. Shouldn't you be testing the FPS with pellets having best accuracy. Hollow point might not give the best accuracy. And JSB / H&N might not give a good velocity. What best Pellet would you recommend for these category guns. Gamo IGTs with 1000FPS - 1050 FPS (as advertised with PBA platinum) Sorry to bother but I don't have the money to buy all expensive pellets and try my self.
@@hassansaleem8840 Actually I do use the most accurate pellets for each gun. I test most every weight shape and diameter of pellets on the market. Each specific gun likes it own pellet for ultimate accuracy. The secret is to find that specific pellet. I spend multiple hours behind the scene shooting 1000's of pellets so I can narrow it down to the most accurate pellet for the viewers. Some rifles are the most accurate will hollow points, others maybe wad-cutters etc. Check out my website and read the article about How to break in your air rifle. :)
I really enjoyed the video. Would you recommend the original magnum or the whisper fusion mach 1 for farther distances or is there anything else you would recommend in that price range that includes the open sights. Thank you.
Ivan, Gamo rifles are good but I think there are better choices for that price point. Did you watch my video of the Ruger Air Magnum? Roughly the same power, better trigger, more accurate and a much easier cocking effort than the Gamo rifles. . The Xisico XS28 is the identical rifle but it has a nice wood stock. I just ordered one in .25 caliber from Flying Dragon Air Rifles. Mike is going to tune it up for me and I will do a review video on that. I would suggest a tuned XS28 in .22. If you have Mike tune it, it will perform just like my Ruger and you have the option of open sights. Keep in mind I do not make one penny from any transaction with Flying Dragons but I have know Mike for years and he is a great guy that provides exceptional service. That is why I have no hesitation mentioning him. Don't forget to mention Airgun Detectives and he gives my viewers a little discount. Watch my Ruger review.
Hi great video! I bought this gun in .22 and and have ordered a similar UTG scope (4-16x44) but worried about rear sights interference (it’s a really long scope). What rings did you use? High profile? Thanks.
Hi. I have exactly one of these Gamo Whisper Fusion. The oem scope was junk. Thanks I got myself a 2-7 x 32 Tasco Air and I am witnessing vertical stringing. With my open sights, I shoot 0.5" at 25 yards. What could be the actual problem? Everything was solidly mounted and Loctite. Again, with my open sights, its pretty accurate. Thanks to all
I have done that many times...Test it with the open sights a few times, 2-3 different targets shoot 8-10 round groups. Then test the scope at the same distance, same type targets. If there is a significance difference then the reticle in the scope is unstable and is moving on you (bad Scope). If you have another scope I would test that as well. I have had good luck with the BSA Outlook series amzn.to/3bjxsx8 or this amzn.to/2RLuIl0
@@Daniel-xq7ny they are all good until they are not. I can't count the number of scopes I have destroyed with the Breakbarrel rifles. Can you exchange the scope for another tell the retailer it is defective and it will not hols zero. Or get your money back and purchase an outlook. They have a 1 year warranty 👍
Not a bad little rifle. The wood stock is a nice touch. It definitely needs my trigger screw and an upgraded scope. I paid $129 for mine on a super sale from the gamo website in May.
Honestly, it depends on your specific rifle...Each specific rifle, not just the model, will like its own pellet. The trick is finding it. Start with some inexpensive Crosman's and work your way up to find the best grouping pellet.
Hey! Good video.. I was wondering if you could provide a link for the scope your talking about.. I have looked at the scope you put on yours.. but could not find it on Amazon.. I was also wondering if I need to get rail adapters.. is the scope rails picidally or dovetail? Thank you!!
They are 11mm dovetail mounts. You need to use the stop pin. The scope is 30 mm so you'll need some updated rings. Her are some links: UTG Scope amzn.to/37jLm0x Scope rings amzn.to/2K4jXH3 👍

Good point, if these mags aren't available in the future this is a better choice. Though one review said manual loading is still an option.

Curious what you thought of the stock scope that came with it. From what I've read in reviews, everyone says it's junk. Thanks.
Excellent review. Why did I feel like at any moment this guy might cut the shooting and move straight to the margarita blending portion of the programming.. cool range set up
I have been tempted many times!! And to make things even better my wife is a former bartender 😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives iron sights are a must for me, so repeater break barrels aren't an option for me as well
Just bought the 22 and 177 on Amazon for $150 each.
Great review. Thanks for taking the time to be so thorough.
Thank you for watching and I appreciate you taking the extra time to leave the comments👍😉
Great review, received my Gamo whisper fusion mach 1 today. I want the bipod as soon as they become available.
I just bought one of these yesterday. Liking it so far!
Dude is that your home?! Yeezus is it a beauty!
Yes...and thank you. It took many years of hard work to put it together. I appreciate you watching 👍🏻😉
Id have to say out of the 14 gamos i have my favorite is the 22 cal.Whisper fusion Elite w/adjustable cheek piece and pistol grip..this gun hss a very different feel and very affordable.it has a thicker pistol grip that feels really nice.only downside is something happend where a pellet blew the inside of muzzel a part at end of barrel
Once i got all the pieces cleaned out it worked fine..id shot probably 6,000 shots through it before that happened
I purchased this gun because of your excellent review. I don’t know if there is something wrong with my moderator, but it is NOT back yard friendly.
Have you tried shooting heavier pellets?
I guess it depends on the backyard 🤣 He has a Hickok45 range yard with neighbors, miles away
Squirrels, rabits, rats, birds .177 is great. Hunting raccoons, groundhog other similar size critters go .22
Me too
Took you awhile to finally review this gun. Mine suddenly lost its accuracy 4 months after I bought it.
Could be a lot of issues there. Try different optics to make sure your scope didn't go out on you.
@@AirgunDetectives I tried with the same exact scope you have and all and it just fires sporadically. 6 inch groups at 25 yards with any pellet I use.
Just bought one for squirrel, mice, moles, and other small rodents. Great review. Thanks.
Any luck on the tree rats?
These videos rock, extremely helpful thank you man. Just ordered mine. High hopes!
One of my reasons for choosing the whisper fusion was the quality of the open sights. The rail system and bad scope aren’t even downsides for me, I don’t intend to use either of em
Can I ask what scope mount you recommend for this? I would like to get a see thru scope to be able to see iron sights as well
Another really cool video. Thanks, bro. You got my thumbs up.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments 👍👍😉
Can you put a video on how to do the bipod on the Gauntlet 25 Cal
today is 9/6/2021,, this video is over a year old, i have been considering this rifle, the bone collector swarm gen 2 or the diana 48, i decided to get the whisper fusion mach 1 in 22, i ordered it earlier, on amazon for about 225 bucks, i'll upgrade the scope down the road, i like your review,, and i like gamo rifles,
I've been happy with mine, the included scope isn't tough enough for the recoil, but other than that it's a great platform.
I just got me one of those but its 177 caliber and it's very precise and pawerful 😀
Length of pull and weight (10.5lbs scoped) make it tough too offhand while hunting.
thanks for making and posting this video
Thank you for watching 👍
Thanks for the review - strongly considering this gun, as it's in my budget wheelhouse. Would love the ASP20, but......
@@greg6162 Did you try Airguns of Arizona?
So could I shoot open sights
Well when you shot crosman 14.3s at 840FPS that made my mind up!!!!
very nice accurate gamo break barrel what is the brand of your scope?
Please let me know where to get the rails
Thank you buddy!
What kind of scope you have and rings thanks
I loved all of your videos. Very fair review. Amazing.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments 👍
Thank you for your help love your channel what one would you reccomend?
That's a wide open question. What are you going to use the rifle for? Do you want a multi-shot or single shot? What is your budget? Gamo or other brand? I would suggest a .22 caliber regardless. So many options out there...
Great review! What scope did you put on it?
UTG 30 mm swat, side focus 3-9 x 44👍😉
I found mine shit very well with H&N sniper light pellets

What kind of scope did you put on her?
Which one will be better this one or ruger targis hunter max. 22?

Nice review. I just got one from Amazon and it's pretty nice. I like the iron sights.

really appreciate your reviews..gamo has so many choices, hard to decide...want high accuracy to 100' at least..this rifle got top rated review on another site ..was wanting to go with .177 but might need to rethink and go with .22...what are all the pro's and con's of each cal? do you discuss elsewhere?

What pellet is more accurate for it?
What size and brand of scope are you using please let me know I would like to get one thankyou for your time by the way nice video
You will love the upgrade. I will predict that will be the best $10 you ever spent on an airgun upgrade. Keep me posted 😉
Best $10 I’ve every spent!

aside from not having the pistol grip style stock design, are there any other differences between the .22 whisper fusion mach 1 and .22 the whisper fusion elite????
Can you load more than 1 pellet at a time anyway?
Not good for the gun...too much back pressure. Why would you even want to try that?? They make a double barrel that actually fires two pellets at the same time. I own one and I'll review it at one point.
Does this gun have a polymer breech?
All metal with the exception of the stock and barrel shroud 👍
Thanks for all your help can I put your stand on it and what will your trigger screw do to make it better? I ordered the .22 bone collector just now from amazon.

I subscribed your channel btw :)
My last and final question. Shouldn't you be testing the FPS with pellets having best accuracy. Hollow point might not give the best accuracy. And JSB / H&N might not give a good velocity. What best Pellet would you recommend for these category guns. Gamo IGTs with 1000FPS - 1050 FPS (as advertised with PBA platinum)
Sorry to bother but I don't have the money to buy all expensive pellets and try my self.
@@AirgunDetectives Thank you Sir.
@Gmar80 my favorites are break barrel rifles since you don't have to worry about an air source.
Hi great video! I bought this gun in .22 and and have ordered a similar UTG scope (4-16x44) but worried about rear sights interference (it’s a really long scope). What rings did you use? High profile? Thanks.
U will need hi rise mounts done it
@@AirgunDetectives I thought that those Tasco Air were good, (from reading reviews)? But I guess it wont hold on my Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach1. Thanks
@@AirgunDetectives I will and I will try to fing a BSA Outlook, (as they are all sold out here in Canada). Thanks
Just for fun on my property maybe some small game I was thinking the .22 bone collector bc it's the only one in stock and good price.
Not a bad little rifle. The wood stock is a nice touch. It definitely needs my trigger screw and an upgraded scope. I paid $129 for mine on a super sale from the gamo website in May.
What scope you replace the original with?
Looks like a UTG 3x9-40 AO... definitely a UTG though
Except I don't want a. Diana that s*** sounds like it's for old people Diana🙄
What are the best 22cal pellets for This pellet rifle?
Honestly, it depends on your specific rifle...Each specific rifle, not just the model, will like its own pellet. The trick is finding it. Start with some inexpensive Crosman's and work your way up to find the best grouping pellet.
@@AirgunDetectives Ok thank you buddy'
I have the .177 and its a rat killer on the Hobby Farm! Nothing escapes within 45 yards of my back porch.
Great rifles!!👍😉
You were using lead pellets, they are heavier than what the GAMO rifles like, the lead is quieter tho
Hey! Good video.. I was wondering if you could provide a link for the scope your talking about.. I have looked at the scope you put on yours.. but could not find it on Amazon.. I was also wondering if I need to get rail adapters.. is the scope rails picidally or dovetail? Thank you!!
@Graham Edens
UTG 30 mm swat, side focus 3-9 x 44
@@saltyark7564 what website did you use to order this scope
They are 11mm dovetail mounts. You need to use the stop pin. The scope is 30 mm so you'll need some updated rings. Her are some links:
UTG Scope amzn.to/37jLm0x
Scope rings amzn.to/2K4jXH3 👍
@@AirgunDetectives thank you! Keep up the videos.. their great!
