I e watched multiple videos showings ,outlying the same to build a ramp, but you’re the first to give the calculation of proper length, thanks. I’m gonna need this tomorrow,
Exactly the video I needed thanks! Need to build a ramp into barn so I can put snowblower, generator and lawn tractor in there. Can't wait to build this now, thank you explaining it all out. The last time I built anything was in woodworking class in grade 8 😊
I feel the need to echo others sentiments about this build. This is EXACTLY the vid I needed to see for my project! Thank you so much for this example, this is what my new plan will be! Edit: I am now a subscriber!

Great video, where did you use the 2 angle brackets ? Also what was the width of the composite decking boards and the dimensions of the concrete pavers ?
I have watch several ramp buildings videos today. Yours is the first I saw using that tape. Do you recommend using it? And is the wood weather treated? Thanks for sharing.
You are very welcome. The tape is to protect the joists from water that drains down from the spaces between the planks, even though they are pressure treated.

Thanks! You'll see me putting in one of the angle brackets at 5:31. The boards are 5.25" x 1" and the pavers are 8"x4"x2".

Question: When measuring 6 inches long for every 1 inch in height. Is the height measured from the bottom of the building or the floor?
From the floor. Or more accurately, from the top of the ramp to the ground.
what size boards did you use for your runners?
2x4s
How did you ensure you screwed into the thickest part of the planks since they are scalloped?
They are not scalloped !
