They are the billionaire class, the owners of big business that small businesses can no longer compete against and their large multinational corporations that many of us call our employers that dictate so many aspects of our lives while simultaneously dodging taxes, buying the government through lobbying, and feeding off government subsidies. Those WITH the power to change this country ARE the ones wrecking this country. Don't let the media and political parties use their typical scapegoats. I love Ms. Jones honesty about her son Ahmaud. First she says he was "a greedy baby. always putting something in his mouth." That's what my son was like as a baby... "me, me, me, or more, more, more, or mine, mine mine" and not matter we as mothers love them.
Then Ms. Jones added that although loving and affectionate, that "he was messy. He sometimes refused to wear socks. or take good care of his clothing." And emphasized how she wishes He would have "cut and cleaned his toenails before he went on that jog that day. I guess he would have, if he knew he would be murdered."
In other words... He was her son, a good boy, loving, not perfect, not necessarily clean cut, and didn't need to be before a run.
I have a son who is messy, struggles with hygiene, loves being outdoors in any fashion. My son is not black, but he is special needs. He doesn't always match, and he's carefree about these things. One hopes no one decides to judge my child to the point of killing him simply over long toe nails, or looking and or acting different. This is a mother's every day fear.
