    Hi 👋🏻 I was just wondering what type of moisturiser you would recommend to use on the body and face cream/lotion/gel? I can’t stand the feeling of moistures on my body it feels sticky and never fully absorbs I feel like my skin just can’t breathe, I think I have combination skin it’s oily at times in particular places on my face/head/hair but my face looks like it needs some plumbing and my legs are dry, I tend to have a shower and cleanse then moisturise when I get out I leave it on my skin for a few hours then jump back in the shower just to wash the moisturiser off then my skin feels really nice and soft but it’s a hassle would love some advice. ❤️🙏🏻

    Hello, Doc! I hope this gets noticed.
    I have oily acne prone skin and I’ve been struggling acne (mostly comedonal). I got a tretinoin (cream, 0.05%) prescription from my derma and my face gets oily still after applying it to my face but I noticed that some of my acne were gone after several months of using it. Hello! managing oil production may help reduce the appearance of pores and sebaceous filaments. Apart from extractions, I find that salicylic acid toners in addition to retinoids help. Individuals with oily acne prone skin are able to tolerate the combination of both ingredients.

    Doc, ano pong opinions nio about rejuvinating sets

    • @irenegaile
      @irenegaile  3 года назад +4

      Actually thinking of making a video about this one kc nauuso. But in a nutshell, the ingredients found in legit rejuv sets are not bad- in fact when used properly, ok naman sila. The problem arises kapag hindi properly informed ung patients about the possible side effects of misused ingredients that are normally prescription medications like hydroquinone and tretinoin.
      That’s why most dermatologists will caution against the use of rejuvenating sets without really knowing what they contains and how to use them.

    Having oily skin is an understatement on my case, i think the classic pinoy teasing "pwedeng pamprito nang itlog" is literally addressed to me. I don't really know what to do or think about it. Question! is there a disorder or disease that makes an individual super oily? Like in my case, i have very...VERY oily face(luckily i dont have much pimples as i clean my face regularly) but i do have SUPER large pores. Scalp is literally dripping with oily after few hours of waking up and yes...sadly io am balding! Yellow, oily, and fast production of ear wax! Scars in several parts of my body due to pimple that randomly pops(some even borders on becoming boils if left untreated!).
    It is not only my face that i am concerned about but with my body as a whole. It is easy to just wash with a salicylic facial wash to get rid of oil momentarily, but to be oily all over is a different thing.

    Good evening po, Doc! I have been using 0.5 % salicylic acid cleanser for almost 2 years now, it works for me (as anti-acne and regulates my oil production as well) but it doesn't remove my blackheads. Do I need to buy salicylic acid cleanser with higher percentage to maximize it's efficacy on my skin? Thank you so much! Stay safe and God bless, Doc!

      You might need to add keratolytics in your skincare routine like retinoids :) Sometimes, benzoyl peroxide helps. Or if none of these work, they might not even be blackheads, and in that case I recommend that you consult a dermatologist na :)

    Doc. totoo po ba na yung mga oily skin ay mas matagal tumanda ang mukha unlike sa mga dry akin?

    • @irenegaile
      @irenegaile  3 года назад +2

      Hello! I wouldn’t say mas matagal tumanda, rather people with oily skin sometimes mas mabagal magkaroon ng fine wrinkles as they age especially in areas like the forehead. Also some say that the excess sebum gives an antioxidant benefit and protection from environmental stressors because it contains vitamin E.

    Doc yung baby powder poba pwede ko I apply after moisturizer para hindi po sobrang oily Ng face? And yung baby powder poba is masama sa pimples? thank you po😊

      If you ask me ok lng naman. Just be careful not to inhale the particles when you apply. I dont think powder directly causes acne but of course u have to properly clean your face -double cleanse if necessary-to prevent build-up and clogging of pores.

      Hello! Hindi dapat. Tretinoin is supposed to regulate skin turnover and somewhat regulate sebum production. Nagkaroon ba ng irritation after using tretinoin? In any case if it persists talk to the derm who prescribed it to you and ask for other options.

    Oily skin po ako.
    Recently I’m using COSRX AHA/BHA Toner po 3 times a week at night lang po. Maganda po sya sa skin ko except sa chin area.
    Do you have any idea po bakit kaya ganun? Sa chin area lang po ako nagkaroon ng pimples upon using the product. Salamat po Doc.
    Btw skincare ko po ay ganito:
    Morning:
    Simple facial wash
    Belo Sunscreen with niacinamide
    Evening:
    Simple facial wash
    COSRX AHA BHA Toner (3 times a week)
    Cetaphil Moisturizer

      It could be maskne or purging, pwede din from your toothpaste etc. I would recommend that you consult para ma assess ng mabuti ung skin mo and mabigyan ka ng tamang management. It’s hard to give an answer without really doing a consultation :)
