I never knew the original April Oneal was in this movie and she still looks good.
This is a deleted scene, so you'd likely wouldn't have seen it unless you bought the DVD.

I think because the movie was already jam-packed with so many other references to TMNT this would be overkill.

Judith Hoag, even in this scene where she wasn't even portraying April O'Neil, is STILL the best April. She even gave the best acting performance in the entire film, by far😆🤣😂

@@emanuelespinoza9325 Paige Turco was unremarkable. She had no real personality or character whatsoever. The secret of the ooze was a major step down from the first flick, and so was Paige Turco from Judith Hoag.

They did her wrong by recasting her in the 2and and 3rd movies it was a rare moment where "difficult to work with" wasn't a euphemism for "wouldn't sleep with the producers"
@@whovianhistorybuff she was hard to work with. She constantly kept complaining and other things. The first movie lost some comic accuracy when she refused to wear a yellow jumpsuit. Recasting her was a good choice. She's a good actor but if she keeps complaining while on set then you have to recast her.
So we finally get to see an "official" passing of the torch, from one April to another April.
It's like if William Shatner did a scene with Chris Pine.

Ben Greene I still don't understand how though. I get that it didn't make as much as the first film, but the sequel still made millions over what their budget was! I feel like there are still SOOOOOO many people who want and would support a third film and we're being cast aside....
Ben Greene YESSS! I felt the exact same way! We saw much more of the turtles, we saw more sides of them (i.e. scared as shit Raph, basketball loving jock Donnie, more comical sides of Leo, sad Mikey, etc.) and the groupings and arguements and everything was much more complex than the last film. The acting and even down to the facial expressions was more emotional this film. I just don't understand how people see this film as a failure in any way :/

It's so bad. I wish they established everything better and made us care about something. It was just an onslaught of garbage. The only thing that was fun was Bebop and Rocksteady being idiots and their banter. Other than that nothing worked. Forced Casey Jones was squandered. God that movie was bad. I hope a reboot uses practical fun suits again.

The look on her face at the end is less "How am I gonna explain this to the turtles?" And more "Oh god Mikey's gonna be watching me on TV every day as if I didn't get enough of his stalker vibe last times."

It was unnecessary, didn’t contribute anything and painfully over edited to the point that you has to work harder to fallow the visual representation of the story. I agree. Why wasn’t this left in? There’s nothing here that clashed with the rest of the movie. Cameoing Judith Hoag would have made someone happy and cost nothing.
This scene actually fleshes April out a lot and should have been left in. She's up for promotion, but worried that she's a fraud due to her inside connection. Doesn't need a man, but eventually asks out Casey Jones.

Ugh... this reminded me of how terrible Megan Fox is as an actress.
I'm glad they cut this. I was getting odd looks in the theater at Planet of the Apes when I was the only one that caught that the dying ape was Charlton Heston reading his lines from the original. I would have experienced the same humiliation after laughing at the "same person" line.
I was stoked to see the real, April, even if it was just a cameo in a deleted scene.
