Instead of guessing you could adjust the first step sample start and the copy that step to wherever you like. That way you can easily preview the start point by pressing play. Afterwards you just put the sample start of the first step back to 0, right?
This right here is why I'm about to buy a Model Samples. I want something that can use loops dynamically, not just one shots. How well does this adapt loops if I need to adjust BPM? Would it be easier to simply stretch the loops before I put them on the device? Like convert a pile of loops to 160 and then make another folder and convert them all to 170 etc...THEN upload them to the device?
Not m:s neither digitakt is good for working with drum loops. You can't stretch them...only by changin pitch. So yes ...to work with different bpm you need prepared loops with specific bpm. Or try to ajust pitch to catch needed bpm🙂

I was gonna get one of these, but I saw some bad stuff about the buttons wearing out and falling off, now I'm scared. I'd want it to last years.

Very cool. Was looking at a Digitakt to do the same. But, this looks more immediate in other areas. Do you miss the features a Digitakt has over this?
I don't have digitakt...so I can't compare. But I'd like to have 8 tracks...plus 8 midi tracks for external gear.

there is many places where you can download dnb break packs. splice....loopmasters... also search for some free jungle breaks.
