Globally, approximately 300,000 men and women are diagnosed with a cancer of the brain and nervous system every year. Although significant advances have been made in understanding the biology of these cancers, the mortality rate has remained steady for more than 30 years. Immunotherapy offers potential new treatment options for this devastating set of diseases. www.cancerresearch.org/immuno...
Questions from the audience for Dr. Reardon:
    - What are the promising immunotherapy clinical trials for brain cancer right now?
    - How does age affect trial eligibility?
    - How do I go about getting a second opinion?
    - Is there an ideal time for a patient to look into immunotherapy for brain cancer? Is immunotherapy a reasonable option prior to chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation?
Dr. David Reardon is a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and currently serves as the director of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Center for Neuro-Oncology. He is an active researcher with special interests in the design and implementation of clinical trials for individuals with brain and spinal tumors, focusing particularly on immunotherapeutics. www.cancerresearch.org/en-us/...

So great to able to listen and watch this conversation. I am a GBM patient located in New Zealand, 61 years old, married with three lovely daughters aged 3, 5 and 13. So… I have a lot to live for I believe. I ‘discovered’ my GBM journey in July 2021 when I suffered a grande mal seizure. The mass was successfully removed 10th November 2021 by Dr Andrew Law. My initial chemo radiology oncologist was Dr Anthony Falkov and I’m now being supported by Dr Richard Sullivan. I would appreciate being able to connect with anyone that could enable myself an my tam to connect into trials or any aspect of research.
