Hi! I’m a long-time watcher/fan, first time commenter. I’ve been watching you for four years now. Perhaps strangely (or not), you got me through my divorce. I found you by looking for makeup for older women (I had spent so many years focusing on my career and kids I never bothered learning to wear makeup). I started watching all your videos - some several times so as to get technique down. You helped me focus on self care and building confidence after leaving a really unhealthy abusive marriage. I started following your skincare routine and bought pretty much all of the skin care products, makeup, and devices you recommended. And get this - people are now asking if I’ve had work done or had Botox!! I haven’t of course, I just follow your routine religiously. My friends and family often hear “Angie says…” or “Angie recommends…” to the point that they all now know “Angie from Hot and Flashy.” Many of them have also started watching you and following your routine and recommendations. Also, whenever I wear something I bought based on your recommendation I inevitably get tons of compliments! I am so grateful for your research, diligence, authenticity, and transparency. I love that you will tell us what works and what isn’t worth our money. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Please know that what some people may see as silly or superficial is quite the opposite. You are truly helping so many of us on such a deeper level.
Ahem. I didn’t start off intending to get all fan girl on you. My real point in writing was to ask if you know why the “Angie10” code isn’t working for Omnilux? I bought the mask a few months ago and the code worked then, but I’m trying to buy the neck one now and the site is saying the code is not valid. Help?
Thanks! Keep the videos and truth-telling coming! 💜

I have been watching you for about five years, and I have learned so much . I recently turned 62. I don’t stress over my wrinkles like I did in my fifties. I really had an eye opener while listening to Wayne Goss honor Mel Thompson. He said aging is a gift, and we shouldn’t see wrinkles as the enemy. It really made me think. 🤔 Thanks for yet another great round up ! Hope you have a great year in 2022.

Hi Angie. I was so happy to wake up this morning to your 2021 skincare video! I follow your channel religiously and think you are just super ethical in terms of the products you recommend and you test them so well!
I just started this video and look forward to learning about each item however I had to comment on your Botox use. I am 63, and do have temporary lip fillers. I have also used Botox for a long time, 21 years! I think women generally misunderstand about Botox. You really don’t use it anywhere on your face except your forehead area and also the Marlborough man’s as a call them, the crows feet.
Botox really is about the only thing that cures large wrinkles, not really a cure as you have to keep using it every 4 to 6 months. It had done a great job keeping my forehead wrinkles from becoming etched into my forehead however in terms of the crows feet as I’m sure you know, even Botox really doesn’t do much there. My Marlboro man’s are softer but that’s about it.
Sometimes I think women over estimate what Botox can do. They think a woman who looks good for her age just uses Botox all over her face or something which is just not possible.
Like you, I also love the Nuface Trinity and I am also planning to make the switch from Curology which I love to The Agency products. You did such a great video about it a few weeks ago that I can’t wait to get that started and try it out!
Angie, you have had a heck of a last year! I wish you a very blessed Christmas. Enjoy every minute with your beautiful girls in your gorgeous new home.🎄💝🎉🎂🎄💝🎉🎂

I hate when people think everything is only work done. I started proactive skin care and sunblock in my teens. Now 49, I can see the difference with friends my age who didn't care for their skin, lived in tanning beds or lived unhealthy. Skin care and life choices definitely make a difference. I've never had Botox, filler or any procedure. Also with you, while we didn't see you years back, you seem to have always been in really good shape. That makes a huge difference. When one isn't healthy, doesn't keep good muscle tone, gets out of shape or goes back and forth with weight over the years, it affects the skin so much. When one keeps in shape, they see the rewards in many ways, including face. People complain JLO must look great just due to work done. No, when one always have eaten clean and stays active and in great shape, that takes decades off the face and body in the later years. Of course she looks great.

Along with other products recommended, I use the COQ-10 serum, Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid followed by CeraVe PM Moisturizer. My problem is that every time I use the Hyaluronic Acid, my face sloughs and peels. It’s not really noticeable except when I put on foundation (OF ANY KIND). My question is whether this is a constant or if after a certain length of time this peeling/sloughing should diminish. Did either of you have this issue? Should I stick it out? It is just really noticeable when I need to wear foundation. Thanks so much! Melisa

Hi Angie, I completely agree in relation to how at over 55 the worry of wrinkles is something that we start to accept, embrace and actually feel peace with, I have not had any work done and while once I was horrified at any small wrinkle in my 30.s and 40's, now I embrace them and just do the best I can to look after my skin to help greatly slow down the ageing process; I have been doing this since age 17 and can safely say to all young people - protect your skin from the sun! xx

Fun end of the year round up of favs... your skin care is definitely working for you... you are aging in reverse! My experience with Botox is similar to yours....after close to 20 years of botox, ironically the older I get the less Botox I use. And after years of using CeraVe PM I too switched...love the Vanicream in the summer, but now that it is winter my extra dry skin needs something even richer...Have been loving the Purito Unscented Centella Green Recovery Cream and if extra, extra dry the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream. I'm going to look into switching from Curology (which I love) to agency...those pesky dark spots are poppng up due to old sun damage. Even though I have been using SPF every day for the last 20 years, the first 40 years of sundamage s showing up as dark spots. Oh how I wish I had used SPF much much earlier in life. For any younger gals watching....SPF is everything!

I don’t want to be rude and put this in the regular comments but Botox you look 10 years younger and no it doesn’t effect below your nose it absolutely makes anything you have going on look 10000% better! When your forehead is wrinkle free and shiny as if it’s being pulled tight and you don’t have any lines around your eyes you are fooling yourself and trying to fool others that the skin care made a big difference- it was minimal! Stop all Botox and the skin procedures you have had and let’s see how your skin would have looked like! Stopping Botox alone would be shocking enough to see on you - you can’t undo laser treatment and etc . So please do not diminish the affects of the Botox and other things you’ve had done and still keep getting done! I know I sound like a B but I’m so over some RUclipsrs twisting the truth . Now go be a spokes person for these products and items companies send you and you want to keep receiving new items to try!

I have just recently discovered your channel and as a 51 year old woman I find you so relatable and kind. I have watched so amny of your videos already in just two days. I love that don't have Botox in this video. I did Botox a few times and have completely given it up. I am working on my face with outstanding skincare and My Trilogy Wand. I used to use Trenotin but have replaced it with Bakuchiol because of the links with Retinol products and cancer. Botox is a neurotoxin and an addiction for many women, getting it numerous times a year. There have not been enough long-term studies on the effect of Botox on the brain. Some naturopaths are finding a connection between frequent Botox use and early onset Alzheimers. I would love to see you do an experiment and go a year without Botox and see how things go as someone who does not want to use it. Keep doing your great work. I need to go make your cereal mixture, it sounds delicious.

Angie, I got a bit behind on some of your wonderful videos the last month or so. I simply adore you and all the helpful advice you give us. Watching you over the last 8 years or so (gee, time flies) has really upped my game and I am so much wiser because of it. Thanks for all the hard work you do and I have to say that I LOVE that you make a printable for us to know which order/what products you put on for skincare and what changes you make over time. It is gamechanging! Thank you so much :)

Wow, the amount of time and money you must spend on serums, etc. twice a day must be enormous. If you had to narrow it down to $100 per month total for skin care and make-up (combined), how would you spend it?

Just turned 50 this year, I want to say that thanks to all your videos and just products from your recommendation and 1 fraxal, I look good. People say I look like I'm in my 30s. Of course like you, I feel like I just look like a good 50. Thank you for another good year and hopefully to many many more videos. An inspiration to us wiser women.

I gradually incorporated all your anti-aging steps and products over the past 16 months and it really has made a positive difference in my skin’s appearance and texture. Angie, if you get the Morphius8 procedure, please let us know. There is a place right here near me in Waltham MA that does it. I am dying to try it on my upper arms. I can take care of my face, but these arms, OMG...horror. ;-) I have a question about the light mask. Can you use it first thing in the morning, when you have your Retin A cream on from last night? I also have a sensitive neck. I think it is from the Timeless Vitamin C cream. I avoid that area when I put it on my face. I have trouble also with sunscreens making me break out. I have tried Olay for sensitive skin and that seems to be OK. I have a big tub of the Vanicream, the original one. I only use it on my neck/chest when it gets irritated. Nice to know there is another one of their products you like. Thank you, Angie. Always informative and always helpful.

Yay!! I think I finally managed to get most of the products you use Angie. Being in South Africa it’s a bit of a challenge to get my hands on a few such as the Elta md and Cureology. So thrilled that I’ve found a place that has just started importing the Timeless products. Prior to that I would have to order it from the UK and have it sent to Greece where I go once a year. Loved the Mad hippie too but out of it now so that too I can only find in Europe. Sadly we don’t have Ulta or Sephora in South Africa. But have been taking your advice since I discovered your channel just before covid hit and it’s the only thing that gave me some positive vibes and have seen a great improvement, I’m almost 54. So yayy!! So thanks you’re my superstar

Hi Angie, I switched to Agency a little over a month ago too. Question….. Per company, dark spots formula goes after sunscreen and before makeup in the AM and as a last step after moisturizer in the PM. You applied it right after all the serums in the AM and right after the future formula in the PM. Could you confirm, please. I know you’ve done your research. Thank you very much for all the info and time you take to educate us. You made a huge difference for me in my getting older.

I purchased the Bear for travel , I thought! I now use my NuFace on my eyes and the Bear on the rest of my face. It is a pain to have to be sure I have my phone in the bathroom so it will connect to the Bear but it sure makes things quick and simple. I have also purchased their face mask and I don’t always use one of their masks because I have some I am trying to use before they are out of date. It is very relaxing and I am glad I purchased it. When you were talking about your Riki mirror and how much you loved it I decided that would be my Christmas present. That mirror is amazing! I didn’t realize how dark the bathroom lights were until I turned this mirror on! I don’t have to worry about clown cheeks now! Thanks for including the Derma E in one of your reviews as that has saved my neck! I was having real problems, but that has taken care of them! Thanks 😊🎄Merry Christmas in your new beautiful home!

Your timeless Vitamin C serum seems like a better option than the other ones as it has a pump instead of a dropper., I am going to try that one. I won't use one with a dropper as a dropper exposes the product to oxygen which degrades the efficacy of Vitamin C. I love how real you are and transparent. I thought I used a lot of products for my daily routine but you definitely have me beat in the number of things you are putting on your face. Have you ever had your toxic load tested as many of those products contain ingredients that can put a load on endocrine system.

Wow after writing a bit I sound like a Debbie downer on some things but I'm not it's just been my experience with some of the products she listed. I like my red/near infra red light panel better than a mask because I just stand in front of it for 10 minutes each side front and back and it covers face, neck and shoulders & upper back. Nuface Trinity I'm over it, wish I didn't pay all that money for it. Hate the feeling of the gel and didn't like those little electric shocks you feel if not enough gel or gel gets dry on my face. Will try that Instree Sunscreen sounds nice. Curology used it for 3 years never stopped peeling so I stopped switched to Maelove Moonlight so much better for me. All other products she mentioned I use and love. Great video Angie. Merry Christmas everyone.

    Hi Angie,
I’ve been watching you get younger for years. I appreciate your diligent research and detailed before/after pictures for everything from concealer to tools. I know you check items effect with regularity but I’m wondering if the OmniluxLED has firmed your jaw/neck more recently. Your jawline looks more “crisp”. Anyway, I recently bought a Kenzzi to treat dark spots and (hopefully) spider veins. Did you stop using the alpha lotion when you treated your legs for hair removal?
    Thanks for your insight!

Just tried the MyChelle sunscreen for the first time. Wow - game changer!! It's the first affordable tinted sunscreen I've liked. I have a light cool toned complexion and applied it over another sunscreen that has a white cast after waiting about 20 minutes (I'd rather use the older one up then toss it). I'm several hours in and my skin looks flawless and feels great - not oily but also not dry. Thank you for all your recommendations!
