I love how Floor is the scariest looking one but also seems to be the most sweet and innocent.
She's voiced by Mikaela Hoover, the Nova Corp assistant "chick with the tablet" in the first GotG. And yes her real voice is that sweet.

Can we all agree that GotG vol.3 shows that we don't have a superhero movie fatigue, we are only fatigued with the same circus and quips of the genre. This movie shows heart, well written and an emotional rollercoaster
Superhero isnt a genre either. Like the things that are having their own identity, are the onesliked there.

If you're talking about THAT scene, the first I tought she was unable to understand the situation as well, still processing the joy of running away with her friends. But after thinking upon it, I believe that that scene is even worst than what it seems. We saw that she's unable to communicate properly, and after witnessing what happens to Lylla, she starts pacing back and forth, compulsively repeating "Rocket, Teefs, Floor, go now!", to me it seems more like she's calling her friends for help with the limited vocabulary she possesses, so that they can bring her away from the horror in front of them, while her voice modulator filters the pain in her voice.
In either cases, the flashbacks scenes are undoubtedly some of the most touching and shocking of the MCU.

I'm tearing up at this scene because its got all the red flags. Group of friends in cages, wanting to break free, them having a sweet moment and being hopeful. Something horrible is definitely gonna happen.
I have a bad feeling that Rocket’s dream of flying away into the sky with his friends is foreshadowing that he finds out at one point his friends ended up dying, and then he dies at the end and ends up joining them in Heaven. I could be wrong, but until I see the movie for myself I’m nervous that that’s what it means 🥺

All these flashbacks broke me. From the moment Little Rocket says "It hurts", my heart melted. It's especially sad thinking about all the animals that are being subject to experimentation. I'm grateful for this cinematic experience, for this beautiful sendoff to the greatest heroes of the galaxy
The moment Rocket just ugly screams when Lylla dies felt so real

Rocket's flashbacks are one of the accomplishments of this third movie. I knew Gunn was good at this but jeez. How fast you grow attached to those characters, and how tragic is their death, and how surprising it is, since you've only spent a few minutes with them. The man is very good at mixing childish fun with adult horror.

I just saw the movie this morning and loved it especialkybthecRocket/Lil Rocket stuff but got choked up when he saw them in the spirit world and him wanting to come but Lylla telling him he had to wait because he says sirry and that he let them down which was not his fault but loved when they had that hug, my glasses were steamed with tears

I saw the movie on opening night. When I first saw this trailer, I tried to prepare myself. Nothing could possibly prepare you for Rocket’s origin story. “Rocket, Teefs, Floor, go now…”

I didn't understand that line? Was Floor saying they should run to escape or did she think they were going to the new world even though The High Evolutionary killed Lylla?
@@tienshinhan8189 Rocket was paralyzed from seeing Lylla dead, Floor was trying to snap him out of it so they could run away while they still had the chance. If she was talking about going to the new world, I don't think she would have excluded Lylla.

But the scene where they died and also the scene where starlord almost dies were the ones that got me tho. I felt tears in my eyes and i gotta say i haven't felt that emotional when watching a movie since who knows when.

I feel a tad horrible because I'm geeking out as I know who these characters are. To see Rocket's original crew realized in the MCU has me gitty.
That said pretty sure there's gonna be something that'll happen after this scene that'll be like a knife in my heart.
They had to modify their skeleton, muscles & brain to be able to be bipedal, manipulate objects & talk humans/Alien languages.

@@DemonicRemption Mmm, you can already see the gruesome body modifications the animals subjects already have & their ID tattooed in their bodies. Rocket said in the movie & game that he was put together over & over again. In the trailer there is a small sneak peak with Rockets as a small kit being grabbed & put in a machine where a laser writes his ID in his body. It seems this time the movie will focus more on Rocket than in past movies. Sure, we will see more details about Rocket's past in the movie.
As someone that only watched the movies & the game, my guess is these modified animals are some kind of bioweapons.

Yeah first i was just shocked when she got neutralized but when rocket started screaming i started crying
I burst into tears when Rocket's friends were killed.

James Gunn is so good at making animals into sympathetic characters. I like how the scene has both a wholesome and disturbing vibe. This film is gonna destroy me emotionally. I can't wait to watch it.
A very disturbing vibe, it has no right to be as wholesome as it is. They sound like innocent children trying to find the only light they can in the situation.

This movie is the first Marvel film that actually made me cry. Good job. Gunn's Guardians always had something most other Marvel movies did not. Don't know how to call it, but they actually had a genuine heart and felt truly personal. And this is the the best of them all.
There is no way Rocket has a backstory moment this sweet, and it doesn't go horribly wrong. I'm guessing that when this goes bad, it will be a new contender for saddest marvel moment
I dunno, will be nearly impossible to top Yondu's death and funeral. Not only the best in a comic movie, in my opinion the best in any movie.
Me thinks they'll kill every Guardian BUT Rocket, leaving him to mourn all on his own.
OR... yeah all the posters and marketing lack subtlety, and he is going bye-bye.

I've been saying the same thing for a while now, but I know it'll never happen. This film may be the final hurrah for the MCU. Mainly because the pinheads that ran phase 4 and are running phase 5 are a lot easier to deal with on paper than the high creative directors of the first three phases.

Kevin Feige has said that they plan on getting more well known directors for future movies so hopefully that means we get some good ones that actually know how to tell a good story and build a connection with the audience.

@@fabriceghazi2118 Not only that, but Kevin needs to stop putting quantity over quality. The fact that he’s announcing all these films and they’re months away from each other speaks volumes about how the writing is going to be.
Given that since she has spider legs, “Floor” is probably a whole lot deeper then the crew realize. Since she’s spending most of her agonizing days unnaturally suspended off the floor given her spider legs, she is truly only able to take a break from using her cruel augmentations to relax and bond with her loving friends when she is lying on the floor just like them. To her, the floor is where her friends are and her gruesome augmentations keep that same floor distant from her. Its where her peace lies, and its the peace she yearns for most that these experiments took from her. Given her sheltered ignorance, she named herself after something we all take for granted. Her friends couldnt get it cause they all struggle with different augmentations so they simply laughed. But to Floor, that name was super important and beautiful. To her it was like naming herself “heaven”. And man thats one layer that really makes her robbed innocence so frikken tragic to me :’(. I really wish Floor had a little more screen time cause she really was the 2nd most emotionally impactful character to the entire story besides rocket

This scene is jam-packed with emotion and heart that was missing from Quantumania. Just 4 friends together naming themselves. Floor’s little “Yeah” melts my heart. Things only James Gunn can do for this genre.

It was definitely worse. Tony actually died for a good cause and was recognized as a hero. These 3 were created a tortured from birth. They had so much hope to escape and found happiness in the hope. And then they saw Lylla die. And they tried to get out, but they couldn't. There will never be a sadder death in all of marvel then what happened to Lylla, floor and teefs.
These were way sadder Imo, Tony got to go out like a hero saving the world, these were just sweet innocent animals killed for no good reason. You’re right tho Gunn is a really good director and writer too

This Scene is a great example of good communication for animated animals like Rocket Raccoon and Lylla Otter. Animal Cruelty is wrong for every animal on earth! Please protect them with all our might!😭😭😭

I like how " floor" says her name is floor because she is lying on the floor... but " floor" can also mean " flor " as in a flower... it's so sad when she says it because I see the double meaning in the name and it's a simple name to her because of her situation.
I have similar thoughts as well the name could have dual meaning, floor and flower 😭 whenever I see her scene again I always cry. This movie is absolutely the masterpiece of MU
From the moment they were introduced it was obvious they weren't going to make it but even knowing that, these scenes hit so much harder than anyone expected. Regardless of how anyone felt about the rest of the movie, these characters and their circumstances stood out on an epic scale. Sad reality is plenty of animals are enduring experiments and torture on a regular basis for the "benefit" of people. All for the purpose of having "safer" makeup for us to wear, fancier fashion and medical studies that might lead to a discovery so we as people can ward off death for a little longer. Most experiments in the name of discovery end up going nowhere but we certainly don't have a problem sacrificing any other living being in the name of prolonging our lives.
Yeah, that's what made their scenes even harder to watch. But it was nice to see them in the afterlife talking to Rocket. Kind of bittersweet.
I sometimes wonder if humans deserve to be kept away from death for those reasons.
This was the best scene of the whole movie. Had me tearing up.

Seen this in the cinema... it was racoons who were my most favourite animals but after this they grow even bigger in my eyes. I don't want to spoil anything but this is one of the most emotional story I've seen on screens. I would like to hug Rocket so so so much.

This scene alone completely schools the Lion King remake on how to make realistic CGI animals expressive
crushes my entire soul. being a 34 yo dude crying in the cinema is quite a powerful moment. 10/10
This makes me cry so much. The gentleness and innocence of Lylla, Teefs, Floor, and Rocket against the backdrop of the horror and evil the High Evolutionary inflicted on them, is so heart wrenching.
This movie is a masterpiece, without a doubt it is amongst the top 5 in the MCU

3 weeks before the premiere my rabbit passed away (he was 11 years old), I didn't expect to see a rabbit in the movie since I tried not to see any kind of videos or trailers from the movie... bro when I saw Floor for the first time and the scene when floor "was lying on the floor" remining me so much to my buddy... he always liked to lay like that in my bed. THAT scene hit me so hard
Same, my girlfriend and I suffered the same thing earlier in the year. Floor hit me right in the gut.
It’s truly amazing to see Rocket being happy as in most movies they make it seem like he has no emotion
