Beautiful car, even better inspection. I love the look of this beast. This is the type of car that I would want for long car trips. Big car, leg room galore and the backseat is a couch. It just needs a little love and someone who can pass the mechanical portion of the ASVAB test. 1966 = simple to repair and no freakin' emissions crap.

Love the old Riverias. Nice one Nick. I could pick that console box open in about 2 seconds and so could a toddler with a couple paper clips jus sayin. A beauty! That noise sounds like the front u joint to me. They get a little slop in em after awhile. Super easy to replace tho.
My 66 did that. It was the transmission mounts

Almost a Roadhouse Patrick Swayze .Now, all you need is Jeff Healey playing on the radio.The one in the movie was a 65 with the cool vertical headlight louvers.

Hard to beat the looks of the 60's early 70's Riviera.
Diamond in the rough. Needs a LOT of work but very worthy of whatever it takes to make it right, will make spectacular restoration! Hope it gets properly restored. Pretty thorough video here, nice job.

Always loved those old rivieras 65 and 71 72 are my favs that classic slant grille and boat tail rear window on the 71s remind me of the split window vettes just awesome. I could see some nice wires and hydros on this😁👍🏽
Cool Riv. Nailheads forever. I'm kinda partial to the 63-65 style especially the 65 with the clam shell headlight doors.
My first car was the 67 Riv. 430 4barrel. I remember the crazy network of vacuum hoses and the unique cruise control, a metal stem on the dash that you turned to change your speed.
I noticed it has electric seat. The switch is missing near the window switches on the driver's side door

My mom had a split back Riviera not sure of the year, somewhere around 1975, had a 454 big block, aqua blue, white interior, I remember her doing 110 mph on the way home from my cousin's house in North Texas heading to Houston on I- 45
Buick, Olds, Pontiac had the 455 even better than a 454 Chevy.
That noise is a U-joint.

At first I was thinking it was an original paint car in great condition, but then came the walk around… the cost of restoration would exceed the value of the car. It would have to be a labor of love.

Beautiful car, but many needs. Hegarty has a number 2 @ ~32K fwiw. Riviera is a rare nameplate that pretty much every year was cool start to end (though not equally).

The digital speed ammeter never were accurate i owed a new one in 67..but that is what helped to sale the cool car...you just don't feel it..

Always luved that era Buick Rivera & 87-94 bodystyles too but long 66-70 where nice land cruiser interiors like living room of a house & seats felt floating pillows $10,500 would be price for that project

Open the hood and put it in gear (forward and reverse) with your foot on the brake…give it some gas and you’ll see which motor mount is bad. (If) Nice Riv..
The quality of any classic car is the drawing card in any light as far as helping to purchase it or not I can only say these guys have something for everbody.

That car had a 430ci motor in it.buick quit making the 425ci.in 1965
1966 was the last year of the nailhead engine.

These cars are great. They have two ash trays in the front. You could have the driver and the passenger smoking in the front at the same time. You guys could go pick up some women. Women love guys that smoke. When they see a cool guy smoking, their panties go flying off. Very cool car.
