Someone made a change to it somewhere along the line. The cornering lamps were not available until 1967. I had a 39,000 mile one owner 1966 Riviera back in the late ‘80’s. I wanted to build a house so it was sold. The Buick’s from 1958-1970 had finned aluminum front brake drums. They were the equal of any disc brake setup.
Yeah buddy my friend had a 65 Riviera grand sport with dual quads what a beautiful car it was until his girlfriend threw brake fluid all over the hood and it was all original I love your channel keep up the good work you know what brake fluid does to paint not good
Grand Sport Rivieras came with factory Carter quads, Big chrome dual snorkle air cleaner, brushed aluminum finned valve covers, with the red GS badging, performance rearends 3:42 or 3:90, does this car have the finned aluminum drums??
@@hernandocortez6351 I have the same color car but black vinyl top GS Riviera bought on the night of Desert Storm from original owner, My car has factory Carter dual carbs, Finned aluminum valve covers, standard rear gears was 3:42 posi, mine has 3:90 posi, Bucket seats with console, wood steering wheel, 4 wheel aluminum finned drum brakes, 1967 had the disk brake front option, Fully optioned out, rear defogger, climate control, 4 trumpet Horns, came with Tiger Paw Redlines, original spare in trunk, GS's have coil spring compressor lowers the height about 3/4 of an inch for better cornering, blow ice cold air need a sweater in 100 degree weather, Lays and chirps the tires when you really put your foot on the throttle. Luxury Buick Hotrod!!!

Beautiful ride ! Older brother had a 68 Riviera . Can’t believe it’s got 30k mikes on it
Best Riviera hands down, and one of the most beautiful Buicks ever made.

Now here's the one we'd want, if we were in the market. 👍

My first car was a Buick. 1970 LeSabre 455 Coupe. 53,000 original miles at time of purchase in 1983. Cost? $300.00. Oh yeah.
How much for the car I looked but I didn't see the price ?? Thank u

I was wondering if this was an original GS or if maybe someone had just had ordered the dual quads and bucket seats as options?
