    PSA TO HEARTS & BRAINS:
I’ve been working on my bachelor’s degree for over 6 (very long, difficult, distracted) years. Personally, I always thought you were referring to us depending on WHAT we wanted to learn about (heart or brain) that day. & I know many “hearts” watch your videos which warms MY heart immensely bc growing up, people didn’t seek to understand my condition like they do now. & the stigma still exists but it’s slowly getting better. Anyway, when you said “a teacher looking to help their students” I literally broke down in tears bc I am studying to be a teacher & it really hit me that if I had had teachers that watched your videos, my whole educational experience in life would’ve been different. & just thinking of someone caring SO much about their students that they would study different teaching & learning methods to help them succeed is so impressive & honestly just beautiful.
Whether you’re a “brain” feeling like life is passing you by as you struggle through it...or a heart looking for a way to help your beloved brain, I am sending you MUCH love & patience.❤️

Not true. It's our own responsibility to advocate for our health. Using this channel as a tool, I was able to learn more about myself. I was also told the same thing by different therapists and doctors, that I couldn't get an ADHD evaluation or diagnosis yet. It was frustrating because I knew I had it and how it affected me, and I wanted it to be recognized and treated. Eventually, I was able to afford a neuro-psychologist consultation (700-1000$) thanks to my work insurances, and the neuro-psychologist gave me a diagnosis, individually identifying anxiety/emotional issues/ad(h)d. I went back to college since, so the diagnosis is helpful for accommodations.

Hi 🙋‍♀️ Tysm for creating a dedicated channel for ADHD. I have been struggling with being able to accept my condition, and also my medicine. Knowing that I was different than a lot of my classmates made me depressed and sad for awhile now. Your channel has help me overcome this, and learn more about my condition that is positive and not negative. Tysm and I hope your channel continues to grow and change more lives!!!

I started researching ADHD for a fun research project as an ed major.
Shortly thereafter, my best friend was suggested videos about ADHD in her algorithms and it helped her get a diagnosis.
2 weeks later, my other good friend texted me saying he thinks he has ADHD and he's gonna talk to his therapist about it.
I was able to share your resources with both of them and it's helped us all understand this new journey of awareness so much. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this! Hugs, hearts, whatever you like ❤ I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid and it kinda came back a little while ago. Thanks for reminding me I'm not alone and helping me be so high functioning too 😊

I guess I would be both. I was diagnosed with adhd when I was 34. I also have 3 kids who all have adhd and 2 also have autism. Watching your channel has help me better understand myself and my kids (who are all teenagers now) and for that I am grateful.🙂

Atomic Habits is SOOOOO GOOD!!! And it's written in such an ADHD-friendly way: short chunks of useful text followed by even shorter summations of the text. It really has been a game-changer for me.

I've been watching your videos since last year but from the beginning, the first time that I listen to you said "hearts" from a Valentine's day, IDK if it was from two or three years ago, and I still got suspect ADHD, but I didn't knew that I got it, you know, for lockdown, pandemic, I got a lot of meltdowns, your videos had helped me a lot.
Still learning and still watching, and I love that you define your terms, even thou I suspect about the use 😁
    Keep it like that 😍

I'm both a brain and a heart! I started watching because I was curious about my own ADHD, but then I started to recommend it to my graduate program for everyone else who struggles with their brains, particularly during the pandemic. This channel also taught me how to be a better heart to my boyfriend, who also ADHD (but manifests differently from mine) and how to guide my students (I teach college) who need accommodations.

As far as audio books go... I find they help me sleep cause if I don't have that gentle passive stimulation from an audio book then my brain races.
I'm not listening to anything special right now, but I do also use them at other times during light tasks or while playing a mostly reaction based video game if I want to actually want to hear the whole book.

Im a heart and a brain. I became a therapist and the more I learned about ADHD the I realized why I was struggling and having to work harder than others. I started asking questions about some of my own symptoms that I've had since I was a kid, went to a therapist and a psychiatrist and was diagnosed with adhd.

I'm not sure how big the group I'm in is and what name I would give us but I'm neither a brain myself nor a heart. I stumbled across your channel a while ago via the bujo vid. I figured if the organizational and motivational stuff you show works for ADHDers, it should work for a normie like me, so thanks for your content! It's sort of like when they first made lowered curbs for wheelchair users it then turned out to be useful to everybody.
And then I just stuck watching the channel because your presentation is fun and because it is kinda fascinating to hear about different mental experiences.
