It’s amazing that you can make a cover, and select papers for 4 signatures for a really cool journal in 53 minutes. I don’t think you’ll have any trouble finishing your unfinished projects this year! I enjoy being along for the process. 😊
I’m so glad you’re making a journal without digitals! I love journals made from old papers❤️. I have a cover from an old family bible (1860, brown leather with gold gilt) that I’m currently debating about what to put on the cover.
I am so glad that you left the cover pretty much as is. It has so much character that it would be a shame to cover it completely. You enhanced it only and I love it.
Good morning! Having my coffee with you. Anxious to see all these " UNFINISHED" results. You encourage me to get started on mine. Enjoy your company, and your talents. Have a great day.
Love the cover & the papers you selected for the signatures...the slow-stitch bunny topper is the cutest!! ❤🤗🐇 It's great to hear the carpenter working...the beautiful sound of progress!! 😉
Good morning, Gayle!! Wow, you are getting things done today!! I love the cover and the signatures are perfection. Thanks again for sharing your creativity with us. Love ya!
Happy Thursday Gayle, truly lovely old book with its marbled cover! Gosh you have such amazing old vintage papers! To die for! Yum! You must feel a sense of huge accomplishment seeing your “do finish” has dwindled significantly! Great job! 💖
Good Morning Gayle, Happy Crafting Thursday! I put together a plain journal, just dyed paper, now to decorate. Now I will see how you decorate yours. Love the Bunny topper. Have a great crafting day and glad your deck is coming along. 👍❄️❄️❄️
Good Morning Gayle, I can not wait to see how this journal progresses. Your thoughts about how you want to go about using vintage papers for signatures sounds wonderful!!! ❤️💕❤️
😄I'm laughing with you as you go through these beautiful old papers. I have gathered quite a collection these days and I am the same way, I hate to use them, but then I have to remember that the reason I have them is to use them. Oh! The trials we go through to build these journals. LOL!🤣 I love your cover and the pages your are using.
Love all that you got done today. Of course I love the bunny. Very cute topper! That journal is definitely on its way to being done! Always am surprised by what you find in your craft room!! Sure does help when you are in the middle of making a new journal! Have a great rest of your day💖💖💖
That bunny topper is the cutest with the slow stitching! I’m excited for this no digitals journal. I totally get how hard it is to use vintage papers. I have some books I haven’t been able to tear any pages out of yet. Once you can get past that first step… Another snow day so going to organize my laces today. Have a blessed day!
Your cover is adorable! And I like that this is a non digital journal. Of course, I like everything you do but I don't do digitals so this is helpful! Some day I'll get a bundle from Rachel too. TFS🤗
Good morning Gayle!! Perfect timing for this video. I found a beautiful old book at the Thrift store yesterday. And I keep looking at the packs of beautiful old ledger pages from Inked Paper Art I have. Not knowing if I could bring myself to use them!! I will now...🥰 Love how yours turned out with the beautiful cover and pages. Have an awesome day...💜
This was the most fun video I’ve watched in a while. I love the old book & the slow stitched bunny. The pages in the signatures are fabulous. Would love to have this journal ❤️👍
Good morning Gayle!! This is going to be just a lovely journal and can’t wait to see how it develops! Also, so happy for you that your deck is finally getting some work done on it. Have a great day and TFS! 💖💕Hugs!!
Good morning! I love this cover, that bunny is so cute. I’m always fascinated watching videos on how make a cover with an old book. I still haven’t tried it, I get scared it won’t come out!
Good morning Gayle. I just finished sewing in my signature for my very first fabric covered Amazon packaging journal. I did not use any digitals as well. Of course my collection of cool paper isn’t as fabulous as yours, but I made it work with what I had. Have a great day. 😊
I am so excited to watch these unfinished projects become finished. Thanks for letting me come along! Also, after you explained about the cabinet cards yesterday, I went through my photos and found some of me that my mother had made ( 60+ years ago) and did some scanning. They are so cool! Have a great day. 💕
Cool journal. I watched this yesterday, but had to close it right at the end before I could comment. Now I can't remember the things I was going to say...so..."Thanks, Gayle" will have to suffice. xxx Belinda
Happy Thursday sis! I love vintage book covers, can’t wait to see what you do with yours! Hoping the construction guys keep working! Have a blessed day! Love you! ❤
I don't know why I have never seen anyone make there own spines. I love using hardcover books for junk journal creations but it's always a risky task trying to get the pages away from the spine. This way is so much simpler just cutting off the front and back. Awesome thank you so much
So cool Gayle. I am trying to work up the nerve to make a journal with all real ephemera, hard to part with it. Big hugs for the inspiration my friend.
Hi Gayle, Loved your video today. I found another woman who is also taking the antique paper journal route with you. It's so funny how you ladies all get an idea at the same time. LOL She is from Sweden and her you tube is Annelis Journaling. Just thought you might be interested. Have a great weekend.
My dearest Gayle, when you don’t tell us to talk amongst ourselves we just sits and stare at each other blankly, blinking our eyes. Every once in awhile someone will sip her coffee.
Good Morning Gayle, love the cover! I love it when you make multiple signature journals and no digitals! I'm so excited! This one is going to be awesome! Hugs❤❤❤
Good morning, Gayle! Just after 3am and I'm seeing your video. I have that same big Fiskars cutter and love it, not only because it's self-sharpening, but also because it's the only one on which I can cut straight. 😉 That old book cover is great, and I can see the Tyvek strengthens it! It looks like that might just become a bunny journal! I worked with bunny napkins on tags the last couple of evenings and matching glassine bags today. Be still my heart! I'm excited that your plan is to use all vintage papers in this journal instead of digitals. I have no way of printing, so original materials are always of interest. Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
Super cute journal I'm working on putting together a recipe journal. Some of my subscribers sent me their favorite Christmas recipe. So I want to make journal. I don't have anything vintage to add to it. I'll just put it together the best I can. I haven't made a junk journal so I'm just going with the flow. Whatever I see and think it will look ok I will add it tfs
Loving the no digital journal, but then I'm a bit of a scrapper😆 Don't you have a grunge journal that needs some work to be finished too?! Everything you do is Fab 🤩 Can't wait to see what's next. Have a great full day ❣️ Hugs 🤗
You’re making great progress on finishing, Gayle! Way to go! At the end of your video, looking at the collages pages for clusters, I think you meant “gesso” instead of “gelato.”😂😂😂 If you put gelato on your journals I’d buy every single one of them! Hugs!!❤️
Hey Gayle. I just was sitting here thinking I feel so out of it. My anxiety levels are through the roof. I went to Dr yesterday. And it was different doc. He did more blood work than Usual. Turns out I need a mediation for my fast heart rate so I don't stroke out. And I have a low, thyroid which he wants 2 more blood tests Done for that. My daughter took me yesterday and today she has our car so I have no way to get blood drawn. I'm lovin being back here with you. You helped me a lot during these episodes. Imagine me needing more meds. Lol
What a sweet cover. Love the bunny. He looks so cuddly. I had a pet rabbit when I was a kid. His name was shaggy. He had black ears and a white body. I sure loved him. Did you ever have one for a pet?
I’ve never had a bunny for a pet. Just my wild ones in the yard. 😂. But two of my granddaughters had bunnies and we got to bunny sit a time or two. One was named Caesar Salad. That name cracked me up. ❤
What a cute Bunny Topper. Where did you say you got the fabric basket on the desk? I found another book over 100 years old. It's in fairly good condition. You've really encouraged me to complete or pass on started and forgotten stuff, even cleaning up my crafty corner. 🐞💕
@@gayleagostinelli_ct I saw them on a thing to help women in Africa. $90 each, I bet that does a lot of good there. I have a tall cylinder shaped basket from Africa my clients brought back from a trip there. It was to help women too. I try to send an animal to other countries each year to help families. I wish I could do more. This book is going to be Great. I love hidden spines. 🐞🥰

❤ Gayle I must admit I’d leave this as a naked journal because the papers are so beautiful.
I agree, Ceri!
Love watching you bust into the hoard of papers.
I am so glad that you left the cover pretty much as is. It has so much character that it would be a shame to cover it completely. You enhanced it only and I love it.

Love that bunny and the gorgeous old cover!
Boy, who knew a “word of the year” had so much power. I love how you are zip through the forgotten projects and and accomplish so much each session. 😮
Good morning Gayle. That was a productive succesful hour. Thanks for sharing the start of your next beautiful journal. Hugs.

Love the bunny cover & the pages your putting in it. You set it up so quickly. TFS

Gelatos are a type of chalky crayon that smudges wonderfully! So I did mean gelato…but not the ice cream kind! 😂😂❤

When you make your slow stitch pieces, do you put a layer of batting in it?
Not always. Sometimes I do the slow stitch piece then putting batting down on the cover before attaching the slow stitch piece. ❤
Hey Gayle hope you are doing well. I’ve been meaning to ask you where I can find project trays like yours. Thanks and love your videos 😊.
