Just a little hint when using Fabri-tac, to avoid the glue lines showing through your fabric all you have to do is smooth it out. Either use your finger if it’s small or when I do spines I use gift cards. I have a whole pile of gift cards and fake credit cards and just smooth it out and don’t press it down really hard. I learned that from the Beacon website.
Gayle, you are such a hoot! I enjoy your mishaps as much as when things go smoothly. It reminds us that we all have our moments - like when you realized maybe using Fabric-tac was the way to go after losing patience with the Art Glitter glue fabric glue. When you play with your materials it really is about trial and error. Truly, we learn as much or more from the errors. So no apologies needed for a play day because we’ll all learn something in the end. Thanks for your unique sense of humor and kind heart. Hope you get to see that bunny again soon! 🐇 🐰 🐇
How fun to use your own "Art" to create an art journal for yourself!! So glad to hear there will be a new carpenter working on your deck...looking forward to the day I hear you say your deck is "finish"ed!! 😘❤🤗
Christian Bale. He also was in Batman. Gayle I love watching you. I wish I lived close to someone who enjoyed this paper crafting. Thanks for your creativity.
Oh my gosh Cat Hand!! Her desk/workspace is never dirty!! Now we all get frustrated from time to time!! Personally, I have threatened to throw a project a time or two!! You always find a way to make people smile!! It is one of your gifts!! Happy Monday, got an extra day off from school today.... back to the grind tomorrow!! Always, Leslie
Hi Gail, I really enjoy watching you and listening to your voice while crafting. When I have you on, you inspire me to do so many more things because of how soothing your voice is. I feel like we are in the same room crafting together. Hugs to you for all your beautiful work, and your inspiration to me.
Good afternoon Miz Gayle ... This style of journal is very interesting, imma have to give it a shot. And thank ya ma'am for the Hi & Hugs ... I appreciate you even when the frustration hits... 😁🥰 Stay Crafty 💜
Wow, you must really love the new pyjamas. Isn't it wonderful when you find clothing that is extremely comfy. Love your art journal; it looks gorgeous and I know you will enjoy using it and seeing your pretty "ART" paper on your shelf.
Good morning, Gayle! I loved the papers you used for the cover of this journal. So much fun! We watched the Pale Blue Eye last week. An interesting twist for an ending. Also, the outside scenes in the movie were filmed here in Pennsylvania. My husband and I have actually visited one of the places they used, called McConnell's Mill, located on the Western side of the State. It not only has the mill, but a red covered bridge right next to it. It was funny because in the first shot of the movie, it shows a river with snow covered trees. My husband said, "Isn't that beautiful, I sure would like to go there." So, I looked up where they filmed the movie and started giggling. "Honey, we've already been there." It took him a few minutes to remember and it gave him a chuckle, too. That beginning river shot was just up the river from the covered bridge. I think I actually photographed the same scene, but in the Fall. Funny, but they made those locations look so large, but actually it's not too big an area at all. Just the mill, covered bridge right next to it and a hiking path that follows the river. It gets crowded there, too, from the tourists. But the old Mill is grand, as is the Covered Bridge. It was fun photographing when we went there. Pennsylvania has a lot of old areas & buildings like that. It is a place full of very early American history, so a good place for filming this kind of movie. Christian Bale was the star of that movie and ironically, too, was the young boy in All the Animals (as others also mentioned). I guess I never realized he started out so young in his career. Well, enjoy your Monday, sweet lady! Hugs! Sue ♥
Love this Gayle! Such a unique and wonderful way to use any papers lying around. Thank you for sharing the binding method, have seen it many times but never figured it out. Also love your Netflix suggestions, thank you!🥰🇨🇦
I love those crinkely pages! This is such a fun way to bind a journal. I need to try it. Thanks Gayle. Have a wonderful day. Glad things are looking up for you on the construction. 😊
I love Alex - I have been following him for years - he has taught me a few things about antiques hunting - and also made me feel like my house isn’t ‘hoarder’ worry yet 😂😂
These beautiful gel prints are perfect as covers for this journal. Using the cloth binding makes it even more "artsy"! You may even have a cozy feeling remembering where the cardboard came from...lol!😴🧥👖😴Good job!
Good morning Gayle!! Love how this art journal turned out. 😍 Beautiful colors together for the cover!! You've given me another idea I want to try. 🥰 Have an awesome day...💜
Love Cat Hand! Looking forward to this project! You know, you strike me as someone who enjoyed finger painting as a child! I just saw this no sew method in my junk journal for peace group. TFS!
Hey Gayle! Happy Monday. I love painty papers and gel prints for collage. Always have lots of colors and interesting patterns. Thanks for all you do. I so enjoy watching you every morning with my coffee.
Your signatures look like the packing paper that Amazon uses. I’ve been separating it at the perforation and saving a lot of it 😊. Will for sure try one of these journals 😉. Thanks for sharing 🥰
I absolutely love the paper you used on your cover! Sewing in signatures is my least favourite job when making a journal. I will try this tab binding! I watching and listening to your videos. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Gayle. I too am going down a “rabbit hole” with Curiosity Inc. I am currently watching his videos from 3 years ago about the hoarder/potters house in Alberta. Mary Borgstrom was the Potter. I am fascinated by the treasures he finds. Thanks for the recommendation🤗
This is fabulous!! Love the colors and the use of fabric hinges. Would "gloves in a bottle" help the glue to be less sticky on your hands? I'm always amazed when you use your fabric tac because it looks so easy the way it sqeezes out. I think, "Gayle must have the strongest hands". You are such a blessing to me💕🐬Rainy day hugs
I watched you Sunday and you made me laugh! you went and bought 2 new paper pads for 1/2 price! And then admit that you were starting something new, rather than finish projects! You did not last 2 weeks! I loved it and you were great! You were right! Someone would look up the actors and let you know! Awesome! I love watching your videos! Thank you!
This is a great journal, Gayle. I love the gelli print pages; the colors are absolutely beautiful. The signature pages are unique as well. I’ve never seen anyone who can mod podge as fast as you can. Great job!! ❤
Good afternoon Gayle! 💕 Great project you’ve got going here! Thanks for bringing us along. I’ve been collaging master boards using up some of those ever present strips of paper. I always feel guilty, like a kid playing hooky, when I’m not making a journal. 😆 Have a great day! 💕
Thx for sharing this. I often wondered how the tab hinges work. When I was cleaning out my Moms things, I ran across an old recipe book she or someone had hinged together. I didn’t realize what I had and sadly tossed it. Interesting old techniques still being used.
Sometimes I see a bunny after work as I walk to the parking garage, I can’t believe a rabbit is living in the middle of our village! Whenever I see him I think of you!
Good morning Gail. I know you did not request a suggestion.... I use Vaseline around the edge of the glue bottle. Barely any Vaseline works great. Also Christian Bale. Him and Matt Damion in the movie Ford versus Ferrari is an excellent movie as well.
Good morning, Gayle! What a beautiful journal cover!!! I felt for you when you were battling the sticky fingers and the fraying threads. Haha. It's great that you are here at 3:00 a.m. on these nights that I just can't sleep. Have a beautiful, grateful day!!! Love ya!
Such a cool art journal! I really love that front cover! We watched The Pale Blue Eye also and it was a little weird but good. I love getting movie/series recommendations…
Happy mixed media Monday sis! Looks like a fun day of art! Great way to wind down the day watching you create beautiful art! Have a blessed day! Love you! ❤
I love this art journal. Your gelli prints were perfect for the cover. Especially the Art on the front cover. Really cool ! Love love love it! I was wondering on a mixed media Monday some time if you would show how to make stamps from foam board like the ones you used while back. I think Jeff would find that interesting and would make me some to use. 😊❤️
I've found the best way to make mod podge or other glue not curl the paper is to apply it to both surfaces. Seems to work! I really like the piece you put on the front cover too.
Loved the journal ❤️ What a great idea to use it for a MM collage challenge, I may have to make one for myself, although I am enjoying taking the pages out of the binder I am using this year. Another great idea from your last year's challenge. Beautiful gelli prints, would love to see you create more . Hope your weekend was lovely. Have a blessed day ❣️
Great book! Isn't it funny how we all feel about different glues 😂 I think the uhu sticks to my fingers but you make it look so fabulous. I use it anyway but I wonder if our different personal chemistry affects glues differently... 🤔🤔
Christian Bale. A Pale Blue Eye. It was a great watch! I did a lot of work for West Point and they did a great job of recreating 19th century West Point.
Gorgeous! There aren't many people doing gelli printing, making the prints into something else... So I hope you decide to🙏 I'd like to make a small journal with the prints that I can then decorate each page. My attempts at gelli printing are underwhelming... I love the signatures in this too. Mx
Hi Gayle. I love that painty paper and wonder if you could tell me what video you created it in. I haven't been able to find it in my search. Very nice and inspiring videos. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Awesome painty papers. I’ll have to go and check out your Gelli print videos. I have a massive pile of brown packing paper that I could use for the pages in something like this. Hmmmmm you always get me inspired Gayle even though my list of projects is already as long as my arm 😂
I loved that book I'm Okay You're Okay and also Games People Play.....about transactional analysis - by two different authors. Has largely gone out of fashion now, but I still think it has merit. Christian Bale?? Enjoying watching you make this art journal Cheers from Downunder.
Good morning Gayle! Love the art journal. I've never thought of making one, I don't consider myself an artist. I do have tons of that kind of paper so maybe I'll use it to make a semi grungy journal? I don't know, I'll have to think about it but I do love the idea of using that paper for pages. As always you have inspired me again. Thanks!

We all used to watch Cat Hand back in the day! She is still doing art! Gonna love watching you create in this journal! ♥
Now you have created a monster! I spent the afternoon today watching Wendy! Great ideas and I love hearing her say she watches your videos! So sweet!
How fun to use your own "Art" to create an art journal for yourself!! So glad to hear there will be a new carpenter working on your deck...looking forward to the day I hear you say your deck is "finish"ed!! 😘❤🤗
Glad your bunny friend hadn’t packed up and moved to a quieter neighborhood. The painty papers sure made a beautiful cover.
Christian Bale. He also was in Batman. Gayle I love watching you. I wish I lived close to someone who enjoyed this paper crafting. Thanks for your creativity.

I wanted to do an art journal last year. Hopefully for 2023. Thanks for sharing this!
I love to see the variety of things you create with! Mr C & R is at Costco and I was tempted to text him to look for minky jammies.😂💙💙💙
I love how this is put together with strips of material. It's written in my how to journal. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love those crinkely pages! This is such a fun way to bind a journal. I need to try it. Thanks Gayle. Have a wonderful day. Glad things are looking up for you on the construction. 😊
I just love your channel. I watch on my large tv everyday. It is my escape. Thank you for being genuinely you.

I love the Art Glitter fabric glue, no chemical odor like fabri tac and it doesn't ruin nails.
Those are the pluses for sure….the sticky fingers not so much! 😂❤
I absolutely love the paper you used on your cover! Sewing in signatures is my least favourite job when making a journal. I will try this tab binding! I watching and listening to your videos. Thank you for sharing!

It’s so cool, the way the cover and binding turned out. The journal is going to be fun to use. The gelli prints are perfect for the cover. 😊
