But the best knowledge is knowing your bump steer is causing damage. But how does this different tie rod reduce bump steer. Looks lust like an over priced upgraded original tie rod end. Thanks.
You prevent it by changing geometry. Usually the location vertically and length of the tie rod. Wheel spacers do not cause or prevent bump steer. They do however increase scrub radius which caused a ton of steering wheel feedback and pre mature part wear.
No, not often. You need to change the roll centre of the steering arms comparitive to centre of gravity. So you usually lower or raise the steering arm / tie rod.
My 2021 commander xtp does this, I see you have a tie rod kit for my commander to fix it but I don't see how there is enough room in the nuckel to move the tie rod end up or down enough to make a difference
@@ShockTherapyllc is there more info on the kit? The pictures on you website don't show the shimes , plus I don't see where I can get replacement hiem joints as I'm sure I'll need to replace them at some point
@@hughrs just watch the BSD instal video on the cannam x3. Same process and you can see the spacers. Individual rod ends are available on our site as well. The kit uses a 5/8 RH and 5/8 LH rod end. 👍🏼

The rod end at the spindle is lowered in the mount as opposed to centered. This fixes up to 4” of bump

The Commander kit works the same way as the X3, the adjustable shim allows you to correct for up to 3 inches of bump steer.

What fixed bump streer
I own a 240sx, and according to my research, certain Outer Tie Rod Ends have an adjustment that allows the correction of bump steer.
